[Machine] The Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , said: "When the leader seeks worldly gain from people, he corrupts them."

الطبراني:١٧٨٤٩ – حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ السَّمَيْدَعِ الْأَنْطَاكِيُّ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ الصُّورِيُّ ثنا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ عَنْ ضَمْضَمِ بْنِ زُرْعَةَ عَنْ شُرَيْحِ بْنِ عُبَيْدٍ عَنِ الْمِقْدَامِ بْنِ مَعْدِي كَرِبٍ وَأَبِي أُمَامَةَ قَالَا

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «الْإِمَامُ إِذَا ابْتَغَى الرِّيبَةَ فِي النَّاسِ أَفْسَدَهُمْ»

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ إِنَّ الأَمِيرَ إِذَا ابْتَغَى الرِّيبَةَ فِي النَّاسِ أَفْسَدَهُمْ

[Machine] On the authority of Al-Miqdad bin Al-Aswad and Abu Umamah, they said: "Verily, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Indeed, when a ruler seeks bribery among the people, he corrupts them.'"
