The Prophet ﷺ never raised his hands for any invocation except for that of Istisqa' and he used to raise them so much that the whiteness of his armpits became visible. (Note: It may be that Anas did not see the Prophet ﷺ raising his hands, but it is narrated that the Prophet ﷺ used to raise his hands for invocations other than Istisqa. See Hadith No. 807 & 808 and also see Hadith No. 612, Vol. 5).

كَانَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ لاَ يَرْفَعُ يَدَيْهِ فِي شَىْءٍ مِنْ دُعَائِهِ إِلاَّ فِي الاِسْتِسْقَاءِ وَإِنَّهُ يَرْفَعُ حَتَّى يُرَى بَيَاضُ إِبْطَيْهِ

Narrated Anas, "The Prophet ﷺ raised his hands (in invocation) till I saw the whiteness of his armpits."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ رَفَعَ يَدَيْهِ حَتَّى رَأَيْتُ بَيَاضَ إِبْطَيْهِ

When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ prostrated, he kept his hands so much apart from each other that when it was seen from behind the armpits became visible. Waki' said: That is their whiteness.

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ إِذَا سَجَدَ جَافَى حَتَّى يَرَى مَنْ خَلْفَهُ وَضَحَ إِبْطَيْهِ قَالَ وَكِيعٌ يَعْنِي بَيَاضَهُمَا

I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ raising his hands (high enough) in supplication (for rain) that the whiteness of his armpits became visible.

رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَرْفَعُ يَدَيْهِ فِي الدُّعَاءِ حَتَّى يُرَى بَيَاضُ إِبْطَيْهِ

[AI] The Prophet ﷺ used to straighten up in sujood (prostration) until he could see the one behind him and his armpits became visible.

كَانَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «إِذَا سَجَدَ جَافَى حَتَّى يَرَى مَنْ خَلْفَهُ وَضَحَ إِبِطَيْهِ»

"The Messenger of Allah ﷺ did not raise his hands during any supplication except when praying for rain, when he used to raise his hands so high that the whiteness of his armpits could be seen." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 1513)

«كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ لَا يَرْفَعُ يَدَيْهِ فِي شَيْءٍ مِنَ الدُّعَاءِ إِلَّا فِي الِاسْتِسْقَاءِ»

[AI] The Prophet ﷺ used to show the whiteness of his armpits when he prostrated.

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ كَانَ إِذَا سَجَدَ يُرَى بَيَاضُ إِبْطَيْهِ

[AI] I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ prostrating and folding his arms until I saw the whiteness of his armpits.

رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ سَاجِدًا مُخَوِّيًا حَتَّى رَأَيْتُ بَيَاضَ إِبْطَيْهِ

[AI] "And the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to be seen with the whiteness of his armpits when he prostrated."

وَكَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يُرَى بَيَاضُ إِبْطَيْهِ إِذَا سَجَدَ

[AI] I contemplated the Prophet ﷺ when he prostrated, and it was visible that the whiteness of his armpits appeared when he prostrated.

تَدَبَّرْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ حِينَ سَجَدَ وَكَانَ يُرَى بَيَاضُ إِبْطَيْهِ إِذَا سَجَدَ

[AI] The translation into English is as follows: "Indeed, when the Prophet (Peace be upon him) used to prostrate, the whiteness of his armpits could be seen while he was in prostration."

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ كَانَ إِذَا سَجَدَ يُرَى بَيَاضُ إِبْطَيْهِ وَهُوَ سَاجِدٌ

[AI] It is reported that when the Prophet ﷺ used to prostrate, the whiteness of his armpits would be seen.

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ كَانَ إِذَا سَجَدَ رُئِيَ بَيَاضُ إِبْطَيْهِ

[AI] The translation of the passage is: "When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ prostrated, his armpits would become visible or I would see the whiteness of his armpits."

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا سَجَدَ رُئِيَ أَوْ رَأَيْتُ بَيَاضَ إِبِطَيْهِ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to raise his hands in supplication until the white color of his armpits could be seen.

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَرْفَعُ يَدَيْهِ فِي الدُّعَاءِ حَتَّى يُرَى بَيَاضُ إِبْطَيْهِ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to bow down in prostration until the whiteness of his armpits could be seen.

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا سَجَدَ جَافَى حَتَّى يُرَى بَيَاضُ إِبْطَيْهِ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ, when he prostrated, would place his hands level with his ears.

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا سَجَدَ جَعَلَ يَدَيْهِ حِذَاءَ أُذُنَيْهِ.

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to incline during his prostration until the whiteness of his armpits could be seen.

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا سَجَدَ تَجَنَّحَ فِي سُجُودِهِ حَتَّى يُرَى وَضَحُ إِبْطَيْهِ

[AI] The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ used to lean forward while performing prostration until the whiteness of his armpits was visible to those behind him.

كَانَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ إِذَا سَجَدَ جَافَى حَتَّى يَرَى مَنْ خَلْفَهُ بَيَاضَ إِبْطَيْهِ

[AI] "Al-Asamm'iann Maymunah, the wife of the Prophet ﷺ , said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to spread out his hands when he prostrated, until he could see those behind him, and his armpits would be visible."

الْأَصَمِّعَنْ مَيْمُونَةَ زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَتْ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا سَجَدَ جَافَى بِيَدَيْهِ حَتَّى يَرَى مَنْ خَلْفَهُ وَضَحَ إِبْطَيْهِ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to lower himself down in prostration until the whiteness of his armpits could be seen by those behind him.

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا سَجَدَ جَافَى حَتَّى يَرَى مَنْ خَلْفَهُ بَيَاضَ إِبْطَيْهِ

[AI] The translation of the given text from Arabic to English is: "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to place his arms firmly on the ground when he prostrated."

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «إِذَا سَجَدَ رُئِيَ وَضَحُ إِبْطَيْهِ»

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «لَا يَرْفَعُ يَدَيْهِ فِي شَيْءٍ مِنَ الدُّعَاءِ إِلَّا فِي الِاسْتِسْقَاءِ فَإِنَّهُ كَانَ يَرْفَعُ يَدَيْهِ حَتَّى يُرَى بَيَاضُ إِبْطَيْهِ»

قَالَ كَانَ نَبِيُّ اللَّهِ ﷺ يرفع يديه في الدعاء حتى يرى بياض إبطيه أبو أيوب الأزدي

[AI] I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ making a supplication and he raised his hands until I could see the whiteness of his armpits.

«رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ دَعَا فَرَفَعَ يَدَيْهِ حَتَّى رَأَيْتُ بَيَاضَ إِبْطَيْهِ»

[AI] About his grandfather, "And the Messenger of Allah ﷺ had appointed him as a muezzin."

عَنْ جَدِّهِ «وَكَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ قَدْ جَعَلَ لَهُ أَذَانًا»

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to have his armpits visible when he prostrated.

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «يُرَى بَيَاضُ إِبْطَيْهِ إِذَا سَجَدَ»

[AI] That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to straighten up (from prostration) until the whiteness of his armpits could be seen.

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ كَانَ إِذَا سَجَدَ جَافَى حَتَّى يُرَى بَيَاضُ إِبْطَيْهِ

[AI] Narrated Maymuna bint Al-Harith, the wife of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ , said, "When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ prostrated, his back would become hollowed and his armpits would widen open."

عَنْ مَيْمُونَةَ بِنْتِ الْحَارِثِ زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَتْ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «إِذَا سَجَدَ جَافَى حَتَّى يُرَى خَلْفُهُ وَفَتَحَ إِبْطَيْهِ»

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to sit in a manner that when he bowed down in prostration, his armpit would touch his knee. He would lean on his right side and stretch out his left side.

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «إِذَا سَجَدَ جَافَى حَتَّى يُرَى وَضَحَ إِبْطَيْهِ يَتَّكِئُ عَلَى الْيُمْنَى وَيُرْخِي الْيُسْرَى»

I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ raising his hands (high enough) in supplication (for rain) that the whiteness of his armpits became visible. (Using translation from Muslim 895a)

«كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَرْفَعُ يَدَيْهِ فِي الدُّعَاءِ حَتَّى تُرَى إِبْطَاهُ»

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to have his hands positioned as far as his ears when he prostrated.

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا سَجَدَ يَكُونُ يَدَاهُ حِذَاءَ أُذُنَيْهِ كَذَا

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to raise his arms when he prostrated, until the whiteness of his armpits could be seen.

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا سَجَدَ تَجَافَى حَتَّى يُرَى بَيَاضُ إِبِطَيْهِ

" كَانَ رَسُولُ الله ﷺ إِذَا سَجَدَ جَافَى حَتَّى يُرَى بَيَاضُ إِبِطَيْهِ ".

"كَانَ النَّبِىُّ ﷺ يُرَى بَيَاضُ إِبْطِهِ إِذَا سَجَدَ".

"كَانَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ إِذَا سَجَدَ رَأَىَ مَنْ خَلفَهُ بَيَاضَ إِبْطَيْهِ".
