[Machine] That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "When you conquer Egypt, treat the Copts well, for indeed they have an agreement and mercy (protection)."
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ «إِذَا فَتَحْتُمْ مِصْرَ فَاسْتَوْصُوا بِالْقِبْطِ خَيْرًا فَإِنَّ لَهُمْ ذِمَّةً وَرَحِمًا»

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "When you conquer Egypt, treat the Copts well, for they have a pact and a special relationship with us." Az-Zuhri said, "The special relationship means that the mother of Isma'il, Hajar, was from amongst them."
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «إِذَا افْتَتَحْتُمْ مِصْرًا فَاسْتَوْصُوا بِالْقِبْطِ خَيْرًا فَإِنَّ لَهُمْ ذِمَّةً وَرَحِمًا» قَالَ الزُّهْرِيُّ فَالرَّحِمُ أَنَّ أُمَّ إِسْمَاعِيلَ مِنْهُمْ
"استُوصوا بالقبْطِ خيرًا، فإِنَّ لهُم ذمةً ورحمًا".
("إِذَا افْتَتحْتُمْ مصرَ فاستْوصُوا بأهِلها خيرًا فإِنَّ لَهُمْ ذمَّةً ورَحمًا".
"إِذا دَخَلتُمْ مصرَ فاستوصوا بالأقْباطِ خيرًا فإِن لَهُمْ ذِمّةً وَرَحمًا".
"إذا فُتِحتُ مِصْرُ فاستوْصُوا بالقِبطِ خيرًا، فإِنَّ لهم ذمةً ورحِمًا".
