[Machine] "He asked the Prophet ﷺ about vows, to which he replied, 'There were no vows in the pre-Islamic era, so abstain from making them in Islam.'"  

الطبراني:١٦٠١٥حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ حَنْبَلٍ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي ثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ رَاهَوَيْهِ ثَنَا أَبِي أَنَا جَرِيرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْحَمِيدِ كِلَاهُمَا عَنْ مُغِيرَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ شُعْبَةَ بْنِ التَّوْأَمِ عَنْ قَيْسِ بْنِ عَاصِمٍ

أَنَّهُ سَأَلَ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ عَنِ الْحِلْفِ فَقَالَ «مَا كَانَ مِنْ حِلْفٍ فِي الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ فَتَمَسَّكُوا بِهِ وَلَا حِلْفَ فِي الْإِسْلَامِ»

[Machine] He asked the Prophet ﷺ about oaths, and the Prophet ﷺ said: “There is no oath in ignorance (pre-Islamic period of ignorance), so hold on to it, nor any oath in Islam…”

[Machine] Qais ibn Asim asked the Prophet ﷺ about swearing oaths, and he replied, "There is no swearing of oaths in Islam."
