ذِكْرُ الزَّجْرِ عَنِ اسْتِعْمَالِ الْمُحَالَفَةِ الَّتِي كَانَ يَفْعَلُهَا أَهْلُ الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ

ibnhibban:4369 – ʿUmar b. Saʿīd b. Sinān > Abū Nuʿaym al-Ḥalabī > Jarīr > Mughīrah from his father > Shuʿbah b. al-Tawʾam

[Machine] Qais ibn Asim asked the Prophet ﷺ about swearing oaths, and he replied, "There is no swearing of oaths in Islam."  

ابن حبّان:٤٣٦٩ – أَخْبَرَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ سَعِيدِ بْنِ سِنَانَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ الْحَلَبِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرٌ عَنْ مُغِيرَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ شُعْبَةَ بْنِ التَّوْأَمِ

أَنَّ قَيْسَ بْنَ عَاصِمٍ سَأَلَ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ عَنِ الْحِلْفِ فَقَالَ «لَا حِلْفَ فِي الْإِسْلَامِ»

[Machine] He asked the Prophet ﷺ about oaths, and the Prophet ﷺ said: “There is no oath in ignorance (pre-Islamic period of ignorance), so hold on to it, nor any oath in Islam…”

أَنَّهُ سَأَلَ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ عَنِ الْحِلْفِ فَقَالَ مَا كَانَ مِنْ حِلْفٍ فِي الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ فَتَمَسَّكُوا بِهِ وَلَا حِلْفَ فِيالْإِسْلَامِ

أَنَّهُ سَأَلَ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ عَنِ الْحِلْفِ فَقَالَ «مَا كَانَ مِنْ حِلْفٍ فِي الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ فَتَمَسَّكُوا بِهِ وَلَا حِلْفَ فِي الْإِسْلَامِ»
