22. Chapter of Qāf (Male)
[Machine] He (Qais bin Saad) informed him (someone) about this news: that he distributed his wealth among his children, then he departed to Sham (Syria) and died.
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ commanded us to do it before the Zakat was revealed. Then he neither commanded nor forbade us, so we continue to do it.
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ ordered us to fast on the day of Ashura before the month of Ramadan began. However, when the month of Ramadan came, he did not command us or forbid us from fasting on that day, and we continued to observe it. He also instructed us to give Zakat al-Fitr, and when it became obligatory, he did not command us or forbid us from giving it, and we continued to give it.
[Machine] To have Ramadan descend, so when Ramadan descended, we were not commanded with it and were not forbidden from it, and we used to fast it. And we were commanded to give half a sa' (unit of measurement) of food for every free man or slave, whether young or old, male or female. So when Zakat (charity) was revealed, we were not commanded with it and were not forbidden from it, and we used to pay it.
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ came to us, so we placed water for him. Then he performed ablution and we brought him a towel and a sheet which he wrapped around himself. It appeared as if I could see the marks of the sheet on his shoulder.
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , came to the house of Sa'd and stood at its door. He greeted and Sa'd replied and was afraid. Then he greeted again and Sa'd replied and was afraid. Then he greeted again and Sa'd replied and was afraid. So the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , turned, returning. Sa'd followed him, walking in his footsteps, and said, "O Messenger of Allah, by my father and mother, I swear by Allah, nothing prevented me from returning your greeting except to hear more of your greeting. So he entered and put some cool water, then he performed ablution and was brought a colored cloak. He put it on, and I saw the reflection of light on his shoulders. Then he came and sat down and said, "O Allah, send peace upon the Ansar and their descendants, and the descendants of the descendants of the Ansar." When he wanted to leave, a donkey was brought to him and a coarse cloth was laid on it. He sent his son to lead the donkey back. The Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , said, "Carry him before me." Sa'd said, "O Messenger of Allah, should I carry him before you?" He said, "Yes, he deserves the back of his donkey." Sa'd said, "O Messenger of Allah, the donkey is yours." He said, "Carry him behind me."
[Machine] Al-Qa'nabi narrated that Husayn ibn Abdullah ibn Dhumayrah narrated from his father who narrated from his grandfather who narrated from Qais ibn Saad ibn Ubada ibn Daylam. He said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The companion of an animal has the right to its breast."
[Machine] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "The one who is riding the animal should give priority to its comfort." So he (the companion) said, "Beloved, I am not ignorant of what the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, but I am concerned about you."
[Machine] My father brought me to the Prophet ﷺ to serve him. He came to me while I had just finished praying two Rak'ahs (units of prayer), or he said, two Rak'ahs, and I was lying down. He lightly kicked me with his foot and said, "Shall I guide you to one of the gates of Paradise?" I replied, "Yes, O Messenger of Allah." He said, "There is no power or might except with Allah."
[Machine] My father sent me to serve the Prophet ﷺ , so he came to me while I had already performed two units of prayer. He hit me with his foot and said, "Shall I not guide you to one of the gates of Paradise?" I said, "Yes, O Messenger of Allah." He said, "There is no power or might except with Allah."
[Machine] I came to Al-Hira and saw them prostrating to their idols, so I said, "O Messenger of Allah, you are more worthy that we prostrate to you." He said, "Do not do that, even if I were to command it, I would command women to prostrate to their husbands because of the rights Allah has placed upon them."
[Machine] There was nothing during the time of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ that I didn't witness. Indeed, he used to play with the companions on the day of Eid, and the game of taklees was among them.
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Verily, my Lord has forbidden me from drinking alcohol, drinking from the bottle, and using containers made of clay." Then he said, "Beware of Ghubayra, as it is a type of alcoholic beverage."
[Machine] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, "Every intoxicant is wine, and every intoxicant is forbidden."
[Machine] The Prophet said, "Verily, the worst form of interest is for a person to insult his brother. And indeed, the greatest of sins is for a person to curse another man's parents." They asked, "How can a person curse them, O Messenger of Allah?" He replied, "A person curses another, and consequently, he curses his parents."
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "If faith were hanging on the Pleiades, some men from Persia would have reached it."
