[Machine] "And it is said, 'Khzama'"  

وَيُقَالُ خَزَمَةَ  

[Machine] "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ had forbidden eating the meat of sacrificial animals after three days. I went on a trip and arrived at my family's place, and there was a woman with a cooked dish that had some meat in it. I asked her, 'How did you get this meat?' She said, 'It is from the sacrifice.' I reminded her, 'Didn't the Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbid us from eating it after three days?' She replied, 'He has given permission to eat it.' I did not agree with her statement until I went to my brother Qatadah ibn al-Nu'man and asked him about it. He sent me a message saying, 'Eat your food, for the Messenger of Allah ﷺ has given permission for it.' So, I ate it."  

«كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ قَدْ» نَهَى أَنْ يُؤْكَلَ لُحُومُ الْأَضَاحِيِّ فَوْقَ ثَلَاثٍ فَخَرَجْتُ إِلَى سَفَرٍ فَقَدِمْتُ عَلَى أَهْلِي وَإِذَا الْمَرْأَةُ عِنْدَهَا سَلَقٌ فِيهِ قَدِيدٌ قَدْ أَتَتْنِيهِ فَقُلْتُ لَهَا أَنَّى لَكِ هَذَا الْقَدِيدُ؟ قَالَتْ مِنْ ضَحَايَا فَقُلْنَا أَوَلَمْ يَنْهَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أَنْ نَأْكُلَهَا فَوْقَ ثَلَاثٍ قَالَتْ إِنَّهُ قَدْ أَذِنَ فِي أَكْلِهَا فَلَمْ أَرْضَ بِقَوْلِهَا حَتَّى ذَهَبْتُ إِلَى أَخِي قَتَادَةَ بْنِ النُّعْمَانِ فَسَأَلْتُهُ عَنْ ذَلِكَ فَأَرْسَلَ إِلَيَّ أَنْ كُلْ طَعَامَكَ فَإِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ أَذِنَ فِي ذَلِكَ فَأَكَلْتُهُ  

[Machine] He heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "Whoever fasts the day of Arafah, his sins will be forgiven for the previous year and for the coming year."  

أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «مَنْ صَامَ يَوْمَ عَرَفَةَ غُفِرَ لَهُ سَنَةٌ أَمَامَهُ وَسَنَةٌ خَلْفَهُ»  

[Machine] He informed him that he had returned to his family from a journey and found a plate of thrice-cooked sacrificial meat with them. He refused to eat it and went to Qatadah bin Nu'man and informed him that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to the people during the time of Hajj: "I had commanded you not to eat sacrificial meat after three days so that people may get satisfied, but now I permit you to eat whatever you wish."  

أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّهُ أَتَى أَهْلَهُ مِنْ سَفَرٍ فَوَجَدَ عِنْدَهُمْ قَصْعَةً مِنْ ثَرِيدٍ مِنْ لَحْمِ الْأَضَاحِيِّ فَأَبَى أَنْ يَأْكُلَهُ فَأَتَى قَتَادَةَ بْنَ النُّعْمَانِ فَأَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ لِلنَّاسِ زَمَنَ الْحَجِّ «إِنِّي كُنْتُ أَمَرْتُكُمْ أَنْ لَا تَأْكُلُوا لُحُومَ الْأَضَاحِيِّ فَوْقَ ثَلَاثٍ لِيَشْبَعَ النَّاسُ وَإِنِّي أُحِلُّهُ لَكُمْ فَكُلُوا مَا شِئْتُمْ»
