[Machine] "I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ praying in one garment that was different between its sides, in the house of Umm Salama."

[Machine] "Al-Mustaneer ibn Rizam, the Jew, struck my face with a large stone filled with ashes, causing me to bleed. I was brought to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ with my face covered, and he uncovered it and spat in it. I did not feel any pain from it."
[Machine] He said, "O Messenger of Allah, we often find ourselves in the desert and I offer my prayer there with the grace of Allah. So command me to descend one night of this month to the mosque so that I may pray in it." He said, "Descend on the twenty-third night and pray in it. And if you wish to continue until the end of the month, then do so. And if you wish to return to your family, then do so."
[Machine] He said, "O Messenger of Allah, inform me about the night in which Laylat al-Qadr (the Night of Decree) is sought." He said, "If people do not offer prayer except on that night, I would have informed you. But seek it in the last ten nights of the month."
[Machine] About Damarah ibn Abdullah ibn Unais and Abdul Rahman ibn Kaab, they said that they heard Abdullah ibn Unais say, "I sat in the gathering of the Banu Salimah and I was the youngest among them on the morning of the twenty-first of Ramadan. They asked, 'Who will ask the Messenger of Allah ﷺ about the Night of Qadr?' So I said, 'I will.' Then I went and reached him at the time of Maghrib and I prayed with him. Then I stood by his door until he passed by me and he invited me to his house for dinner. He said to me, 'Have dinner.' Truly, I found myself withholding from it due to its scarcity. Then he called for his sandals and stood up, and he said, 'Do you have a need?' I said, 'Yes, the people of Banu Salimah have sent me to ask you about the Night of Qadr.' He asked, 'Which night of the month?' I said, 'The twenty-second night.' He said, 'That is it.' Then he returned and said, 'It is either the following night or the following night.'"
[Machine] He (the Prophet) asked about the Night of Decree (Laylat al-Qadr), so he said, "I saw myself prostrating in water and mud." So I said, "Explain it to me so that I may find it." So he said, "Look for it in the last ten nights." So I said, "In which of the last ten nights?" He said, "In the twenty-third night."
[Machine] He asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ about the Night of Decree, and he said, "I saw it but then I forgot it, so seek it in the last ten nights." Then he asked him again and he said, "It is in the twenty-third night of the month." Abdul Aziz said, "My mother informed me that Abdullah ibn Unais used to observe the Night of Decree from the sixteenth night until the twenty-third night."
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , said: "The greatest of major sins are associating partners with Allah, disobedience to parents, false oath, and to swear by the moon. By the One who holds my life in His hand, no one swears an oath, even if it is as small as the wing of a gnat, except that it leaves a mark on his heart until the Day of Resurrection."
[Machine] "That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ sent him on a secret mission alone."
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , said, "I saw myself on the Night of Decree prostrating in water and clay." The Prophet, ﷺ , prayed with us for twenty-three nights and I saw him prostrating in water and clay.
[Machine] On the authority of Abdullah bin Unais, companion of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , he was asked about the Night of Decree (Laylat al-Qadr). He replied, "I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, 'Seek it on the 27th night.' That night is the twenty-seventh night of Ramadan.' A man asked, 'O Messenger of Allah, is it then the first of the eight nights?' He replied, 'No, it is the first of the seven (odd nights) because the month does not complete its count.'"
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ told us that there is an hour on Friday during which a Muslim who is engaged in prayer and asks Allah for something good will be given it. Abu Huraira minimized it with his hand. When Abu Huraira passed away, I said, "If I went to Abu Sa'eed and asked him?" So I went to him and asked him. Then I left him and went to Abdullah ibn Salam and asked him. He said, "Allah created Adam on a Friday and took his soul on a Friday, and the Hour will occur on a Friday, which is the last hour." I said, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'in prayer,' not the hour of prayer." He said, "Do you not know that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'The supplication of the person awaiting the prayer is granted during the prayer?' I said, 'Yes.' He said, 'By Allah, it is the same hour.'"
[Machine] Abdullah bin Salam said, "O Messenger of Allah, I have embraced Islam and I would like to ask you about some things." The Prophet replied, "Ask me whatever comes to your mind." So I said, "O Messenger of Allah, tell me about the resemblance between a man and his mother, knowing that the sperm comes from the man." The Prophet said, "The sperm of a man is white and thick, while the sperm of a woman is red and thin. Whichever of the two overpowers the other, the child will resemble the one whose sperm prevailed." I then said, "O Messenger of Allah, what do the people of Paradise eat when they enter it?" He replied, "The enlargement of a liver from a whale." I asked, "O Messenger of Allah, inform me about the signs of the Hour." He said, "A fire will come out from the east and drive people to their gathering place." Then he said, "I bear witness that you are indeed a Prophet."

[Machine] "Once, a man from the companions of the Prophet ﷺ narrated to me a hadith that he had heard from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , but I had not heard it directly from him. I was afraid that either he or I would die before I could hear it from him. So, I went and got a camel, and I firmly set my luggage on it, then I traveled on it for a month until I reached Sham (Greater Syria). There, I came to Abdullah ibn Unais al-Ansari, and I stood and sought permission from him. When I entered, I said to him: 'Jabir ibn Abdullah.' He came out to meet me and embraced me, and I embraced him. I said to him: 'I have heard that you heard a hadith from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ regarding injustices, and I was afraid that either you or I would die before I could hear it.' He said: 'I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: "Allah will gather His slaves and He will lean to one side with His hand towards Sham, exposing them naked, barefoot, and uncircumcised." I said: "What does uncircumcised mean?" He said: "They will have nothing with them and a caller will call out with a voice that will be heard by those far away just as it is heard by those nearby: 'I am the King who does not befit anyone from the people of Paradise to enter Paradise while someone from the people of the Fire is seeking justice from him, nor does it befit anyone from the people of the Fire to enter the Fire while someone from the people of Paradise is seeking justice from him, even until the final strike.'" I said: 'How is it that we will come naked, barefoot, and uncircumcised?' He said: 'Through good deeds and bad deeds.'"

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Who will go to Sufyan Al-Hudhali? They insult me, curse me, and harm me." I said to him, "I will go to him, O Messenger of Allah." So he sent him to him. When he came to him at night, he entered his house and called out, "Where is Sufyan?" He noticed him looking at him from among his people, so he said, "What do you want?" He said, "I want Sufyan. Command him to come down and see me." Sufyan came down to him and said, "What do you want?" He said, "I want you to come down to me because I have a shield that I want to show you." He asked, "Where is it?" He said, "Here it is." So come down to me with your dome (tent) and come out with me to see it." He came out with him and asked for his sword, then he struck him until he killed him. He went back to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ who was in the gathering, and he informed him that he had killed him. So I went to strike her with a sword, but then I remembered the prohibition of killing women and children that was mentioned by the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, so I refrained. [Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said one day, "Who is Khalid ibn Nubayh from these people?" He was at Arafat that day. Abdullah said, "It is me, O Messenger of Allah." Enquire about him for me. The Prophet ﷺ said, "If you see him, you will be frightened." Abdullah said, "By the One who has honored you, I have never been frightened of anything." So I went out until I met him in the mountains of Arafat before the sun set. I met him and I was intimidated by him. Then I recognized what the Prophet ﷺ had mentioned about him. The Prophet ﷺ said, "Who is this man?" I said, "One who has a need." He asked, "Does he have a place to stay?" I said, "Yes, he does." He said, "Follow me." So I followed him, prayed Asr, performed two light units of prayer, then I left and was worried that he would see me. Then I caught up with him, struck him with a sword, and the mountain enveloped me. I lost consciousness until the people had gone. Then I went out until I reached the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in Madinah. I informed him of the news. Muhammad ibn Ka'b said, "The Prophet ﷺ gave him a waistband." He said, "Tie it with this until you meet me on the Day of Judgment, and the fewest of people on that day will be those who are wearing waistbands." Muhammad ibn Ka'b said, "When Abdullah ibn Unays passed away, he ordered that it be placed on his stomach, he be wrapped in it, and it be buried with him."

Then, the Prophet ﷺ went out to perform the Maghrib prayer and I prayed with him. He went out and I went out with him until he entered his house, and I was with him. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ then made a Du'a (supplication) for a tear-drop, asking for Allah's aid, until I witnessed myself being mentioned by the Messenger of Allah ﷺ due to his scarcity of food. [Machine] While we were walking with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , the people asked him, "Which actions are the best, O Messenger of Allah?" The Messenger of Allah ﷺ replied, "Belief in Allah and His Messenger, striving in the cause of Allah, and performing the accepted Hajj." Then, he heard a call in the valley saying, "I bear witness that there is no god but Allah and that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "I also bear witness, and whoever bears witness to it shall be saved from polytheism." The wording of the hadith is from Ahmad ibn Salih.

[Machine] I was with the Prophet ﷺ in the presence of some of his companions when Uthman ibn Affan came with a camel carrying two sacks, and he was holding the reins of his camel. The Prophet ﷺ asked him, "What is in these two sacks?" He replied, "They contain fine flour, fat, and honey." The Prophet ﷺ then said to him, "Unpack it." So, Uthman unpacked the sacks and the Prophet ﷺ called for a bowl, and he put some of the flour, fat, and honey into it, then he ate from it. He then said to his companions, "Eat from what is called Farris al-Khabeeth."

[Machine] Zaid bin Sa'na went out with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ one day from the chambers, and with him was Ali bin Abi Talib. Then a man came to him riding a camel like a Bedouin, and he said: "O Messenger of Allah, the people of the village of Banu Fulan have embraced Islam and entered into Islam, and I have told them that if they embrace Islam, provision will come to them in abundance. However, they have been afflicted with a year of drought, hardship, and scarcity of rain. So, I fear, O Messenger of Allah, that they will leave Islam out of greed just as they entered it out of greed. If you see fit to send something to them that will help them, then do so." Then the Messenger of Allah glanced at a man beside him, whom I think was Ali, and said to him: "O Messenger of Allah, there is nothing left of it." So, Zaid bin Sa'na approached him and said: "O Muhammad, can you sell me some dates for a known time in the wall of Banu Fulan for such and such a period?" He responded: "No, O Jew, but I will sell you some dates for a known time for such and such a period, and do not mention the wall of Banu Fulan." So, I said, "Yes," then he took my hand and I abandoned what I was doing. I gave him eighty mithqals of gold in known dates for such and such a period, and the man accepted them and said: "Do justice to them and announce it to them." Zaid bin Sa'na said: "So, when two or three days remained before the appointed time, the Messenger of Allah went out and Abu Bakr, Umar, and Uthman came out with him in a group of his companions. So, when he finished the funeral prayer, and came close to a wall to sit down, I went to him and took hold of the edges of his shirt and his cloak, and I looked at him with a stern face. I said to him, "Will you not fulfill my right, O Muhammad? By Allah, I know your clan, the Banu Abd al-Muttalib, very well. Rather, I have known you through my association with you. I looked at Umar, and his eyes were rolling in his head like a revolving wheel. Then he cast a quick glance at me with his eye and said: "O enemy of Allah! Do you say to the Messenger of Allah what I hear and do what I see? By the One Who sent him with the truth, had I not feared that I would miss out on something, I would have struck you on the head with this sword of mine." The Messenger of Allah remained silent, looking at Umar calmly and with a sweet smile on his face. Then he said: "O Umar, he and I were in more need of something other than this. You should have commanded me to do well, and commanded him to follow well. O Umar, go to him and give him his right, and add twenty sa's of dates to the place where they were kept." Zaid said: "So Umar went with me and gave me my right and added twenty sa's of dates to the place where they were kept. I said: "What is this increase, O Umar?" He said: "The Messenger of Allah has ordered me to increase it to the place where it was kept." I asked him, "Do you know me, O Umar?" He said, "No." I said, "What led you to treat the Messenger of Allah as you did?" He asked, "O Umar, whenever something occurred to him from among the signs of Prophethood, I recognized it in his face when I looked at it, except for two signs that I did not tell him about which his forbearance outweighed his ignorance, nor would an increase in his ignorance cause his forbearance to decrease. I have informed him of both of them, and I bear witness to you, O Umar, that I am pleased with Allah as my Lord, Islam as my religion, and Muhammad as my Prophet. And I bear witness to you that half of my wealth, even though most of it comes in the form of charity given to the Ummah of Muhammad." Umar said, "Or to some of them, for it is not suitable for all of them." I said, "Or to some of them." So Umar and Zaid returned to the Messenger of Allah, and Zaid said, "I bear witness that there is no god but Allah, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger. I believed in him, confirmed him, followed him, and witnessed many things with him." Then he died

[Machine] "For the Jewish scholars, I am a visitor to the mosque of our father Ibrahim and Ismail, making a covenant. I went to the messenger of Allah ﷺ while he was in Makkah, and I met him when he had just finished performing Hajj. The messenger of Allah ﷺ found me in Mina with the people, and I stood among them. When the messenger of Allah ﷺ looked at me, he said, 'Are you Abdullah ibn Salam?' I said, 'Yes.' He said, 'Come closer.' So, I approached him. He asked, 'By Allah, I ask you, O Abdullah ibn Salam, do you find me in the Torah as the messenger of Allah?' I said, 'Our Lord, describe him.' He said, 'Then Jibril came to him until he stood in front of the messenger of Allah ﷺ, then he recited to him, "Say: He is Allah, [who is] One, Allah, the Eternal Refuge. He neither begets nor is born, nor is there to Him any equivalent."' Then the messenger of Allah ﷺ recited it to us. Ibn Salam said, 'I bear witness that there is no god but Allah and that you are the messenger of Allah.' Then he went to Madinah and kept his Islam hidden. When the messenger of Allah ﷺ migrated to Madinah, I was on top of a palm tree, and I heard a noise in the city. I said, 'What is this?' They said, 'It is the messenger of Allah who has arrived.' So, I threw myself down from the top of the palm tree and then I approached him and greeted him. Then I went back, and my mother said, 'By Allah, if Musa ibn Imran (Moses) was here, he would not have thrown himself down from the top of the palm tree like that.' I said, 'By Allah, I went down because I am eager for the arrival of the messenger of Allah ﷺ, just as Musa ibn Imran was sent.'"
