[Machine] Indeed, the disbeliever will be restrained with his sweat on the Day of Resurrection from the length of that day until he says, "My Lord, send me back so that I may do righteousness in that which I left behind."

[Machine] "If one wants to ask [anything], then let him begin with praise and commendation of Allah, with what He deserves. Then let him send blessings upon the prophet ﷺ , and then let him ask [his request] afterwards, for it is more likely for him to succeed."

[Machine] Verily, the believer's devil encounters the disbeliever's devil and sees the believer's devil pale, grey, and weak. The disbeliever's devil says, "What is wrong with you? Woe to you, you are ruined!" The believer's devil says, "No, By Allah, I do not get along with him at all. Whenever he eats, he mentions the name of Allah, and whenever he drinks, he mentions the name of Allah, and whenever he enters his home, he mentions the name of Allah." The other devil says, "But I eat from his food, drink from his drink, and sleep on his bed. So, he has a spacious place, while I am neglected."

[Machine] The man from the Children of Israel, when he sinned, he would wake up to find a written message at his door, stating, "You have sinned in such and such a way, and the atonement for your sin is such and such an action, so that he may increase in knowledge." Ibn Mas'ud said, "I do not like that Allah has given us this instead of this verse: 'Whoever does evil or wrongs himself, then seeks forgiveness from Allah, will find Allah Forgiving, Merciful.'"

If he is killed, he will be a martyr. That is who Allah looks upon with laughter. And a man who gets up in the night, and no one knows about it. He performs ablution and prays to Muhammad and praises Allah, then he starts reciting the Quran. Allah looks upon him with laughter, saying, "Look at My servant, no one sees him except Me."

[Machine] Abdullah met a man from the companions of Muhammad ﷺ , and they engaged in a wrestling match. The Muslim overpowered him and pinned him down. The man tried to free himself by poking Abdullah with his thumb, and he said, "Let me teach you a verse that no one among us hears without benefiting from it." So he sent him, but the man refused to be taught. When he returned and wrestled with Abdullah again, the Muslim pinned him down once more. The man tried again to free himself by poking Abdullah with his thumb, and he said, "Tell me the verse." Again, he refused to be taught. When he came back for the third time, he recited the verse that is found in Surah Al-Baqarah, "Allah, there is no deity except Him, the Ever-Living, the Sustainer of existence, and so on." When Abdullah finished reciting, it was said to him, "O Abu Abdur-Rahman, who is that man?" He said, "Who else could it be except Umar ibn Al-Khattab?"

The man agreed on the condition that the jinn teach him something beneficial if he overpowered him for a third time. The man overpowered the jinn again, and the jinn said, "I see you as weak and thin, like the offspring of a dog. That is how you and the jinn are." The man replied, "No, by Allah, I am not one of them. Rather, let me overpower you for the third time, and if I do, you must teach me something beneficial." The man overpowered the jinn again, and then he asked the jinn to teach him. The man asked, "Can you recite the Ayat al-Kursi?" The jinn replied, "Yes." The man said, "You will not recite it inside a house, but the Shaytan will leave the house with a noise like that of a donkey. It will not enter the house until morning." A man from the people asked, "O Abu Abdullah! Who is that man from the companions of Muhammad ﷺ ?" Abdullah ibn Mas'ud frowned and approached him, saying, "Who could it be but Umar?"
