Uqbah consulted the Prophet ﷺ about his sister who took a vow to perform hajj barefooted and bareheaded. So he said: Command her to cover her head and to ride, and to fast three days.

أَنَّهُ سَأَلَ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ عَنْ أُخْتٍ لَهُ نَذَرَتْ أَنْ تَحُجَّ حَافِيَةً غَيْرَ مُخْتَمِرَةٍ فَقَالَ مُرُوهَا فَلْتَخْتَمِرْ وَلْتَرْكَبْ وَلْتَصُمْ ثَلاَثَةَ أَيَّامٍ

"I said: 'O Messenger of Allah! My sister vowed that she would walk to the House barefoot and without Khimar (covering).' The Prophet ﷺ said: 'Verily Allah will not do anything with the misery of your sister. She should ride, and cover, and fast three days.'"

قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّ أُخْتِي نَذَرَتْ أَنْ تَمْشِيَ إِلَى الْبَيْتِ حَافِيَةً غَيْرَ مُخْتَمِرَةٍ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ إِنَّ اللَّهَ لاَ يَصْنَعُ بِشَقَاءِ أُخْتِكَ شَيْئًا فَلْتَرْكَبْ وَلْتَخْتَمِرْ وَلْتَصُمْ ثَلاَثَةَ أَيَّامٍ قَالَ وَفِي الْبَابِ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ

"Tell her to cover her head and ride, and fast for three days."

أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّهُ سَأَلَ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ عَنْ أُخْتٍ لَهُ نَذَرَتْ أَنْ تَمْشِيَ حَافِيَةً غَيْرَ مُخْتَمِرَةٍ فَقَالَ لَهُ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ مُرْهَا فَلْتَخْتَمِرْ وَلْتَرْكَبْ وَلْتَصُمْ ثَلاَثَةَ أَيَّامٍ

[AI] "To perform Hajj for Allah on foot, without riding an animal that has been prepared. So, I mentioned this to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , and he said, 'Go, sister, and prepare (the animal) and ride it, and observe fasting for three days.'"

أَنْ تَحُجَّ لِلَّهِ مَاشِيَةً غَيْرَ مُخْتَمِرَةٍ فَذَكَرْتُ ذَلِكَ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ «مُرْ أُخْتَكَ فَلْتَخْتَمِرْ وَلْتَرْكَبْ وَلْتَصُمْ ثَلَاثَةَ أَيَّامٍ»

A man came to Prophet ﷺ and said: Messenger of Allah, my sister has taken a vow to perform hajj on foot. The Prophet ﷺ said: Allah gets no good from the affliction your sister imposed on herself, so let her perform hajj riding and make atonement for her oath. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 3295)

جَاءَتِ امْرَأَةٌ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَقَالَتْ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنَّ أُخْتِي نَذَرَتْ أَنْ تَحُجَّ مَاشِيَةً؟ قَالَ إِنَّ اللهَ لَا يَصْنَعُ بِشَقَاءِ أُخْتِكِ شَيْئًا لِتَخْرُجْ رَاكِبَةً وَلْتُكَفِّرْ عَنْ يَمِينِهَا

[AI] "To walk barefoot without fermenting, the Prophet ﷺ was asked, and he said: Allah does not bring any hardship upon your sister, so wear shoes, ride, and fast for three days."

أَنْ تَمْشِيَ حَافِيَةً غَيْرَ مُخْتَمِرَةٍ فَسَأَلَ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَقَالَ إِنَّ اللهَ لَا يَصْنَعُ بِشَقَاءِ أُخْتِكَ شَيْئًا مُرْهَا فَلْتَخْتَمِرْ وَلْتَرْكَبْ وَلْتَصُمْ ثَلَاثَةَ أَيَّامٍ

[AI] To walk barefoot and not wearing yeast (leavened dough) was a difficulty for the Messenger of Allah ﷺ . The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Go and tell your sister to ride and wear yeast and fast for three days."

أَنْ تَمْشِيَ حَافِيَةً غَيْرَ مُخْتَمِرَةٍ فَذَكَرَ ذَلِكَ عُقْبَةُ لِرَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ وَأَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ مُرْ أُخْتَكَ فَلْتَرْكَبْ وَلْتَخْتَمِرْ وَلْتَصُمْ ثَلَاثَةَ أَيَّامٍ

"Tell her to cover her head and ride, and fast for three days." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 3815)

أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّهُ سَأَلَ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ عَنْ أُخْتٍ لَهُ نَذَرَتْ أَنْ تَمْشِيَ حَافِيَةً غَيْرَ مُخْتَمِرَةٍ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ فَلْتَخْتَمِرْ وَلْتَرْكَبْ وَلْتَصُمْ ثَلَاثَةَ أَيَّامٍ

[AI] To walk barefoot without being menstruating, Uqbah asked the Prophet ﷺ about this matter. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ replied, "Indeed, Allah is self-sufficient from your sister's distress. Therefore, instruct her to become menstruating, perform Ghusl (ritual bath), and fast for three days."

أَنْ تَمْشِيَ حَافِيَةً غَيْرَ مُخْتَمِرَةٍ فَسَأَلَ عُقْبَةُ عَنْ ذَلِكَ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «إِنَّ اللهَ غَنِيٌّ عَنْ شَقَاءِ أُخْتِكَ فَمُرْهَا فَلْتَخْتَمِرْ وَلْتَرْكَبْ وَلْتَصُمْ ثَلَاثَةَ أَيَّامٍ»

[AI] To perform Hajj with non-fermented transportation, Uqbah asked the Prophet ﷺ, who replied, "Sharpen it, ride it, and fast for three days."

أَنْ تَحُجَّ مَاشِيَةً غَيْرَ مُخْتَمِرَةٍ فَسَأَلَ عُقْبَةُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَقَالَ «مُرْهَا فَلْتَخْتَمِرْ وَلْتَرْكَبْ وَلْتَصُمْ ثَلَاثَةَ أَيَّامٍ»
