"I came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said: 'O Messenger of Allah, tell me of a (good) deed, for I have become old and weak and overweight.' He said: 'Proclaim the greatness of Allah (say Allahu Akbar) one hundred times, praise Allah (say Al-Hamdu Lillah) one hundred times, and glorify Allah (say Subhan-Allah) one hundred times. (That is) better than one hundred horses bridled and saddled for the sake of Allah, better than one hundred sacrificial camels, and better than (freeing) one hundred slaves.'"

أَتَيْتُ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ دُلَّنِي عَلَى عَمَلٍ فَإِنِّي قَدْ كَبِرْتُ وَضَعُفْتُ وَبَدَّنْتُ فَقَالَ كَبِّرِي اللَّهَ مِائَةَ مَرَّةٍ وَاحْمَدِي اللَّهَ مِائَةَ مَرَّةٍ وَسَبِّحِي اللَّهَ مِائَةَ مَرَّةٍ خَيْرٌ مِنْ مِائَةِ فَرَسٍ مُلْجَمٍ مُسْرَجٍ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ وَخَيْرٌ مِنْ مِائَةِ بَدَنَةٍ وَخَيْرٌ مِنْ مِائَةِ رَقَبَةٍ

[AI] I came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, "O Messenger of Allah, I am a pregnant woman and I am experiencing difficulty. Teach me something to say while I am sitting." He said, "Say 'Allahu Akbar' (Allah is the Greatest) one hundred times, for it is better for you than one hundred adorned and accepted body sacrifices. And say 'Alhamdulillah' (Praise be to Allah) one hundred times, for it is better for you than one hundred saddled and bridled horses that you carry in the cause of Allah. And say 'Subhanallah' (Glory be to Allah) one hundred times, for it is better for you than one hundred liberated slaves from the descendants of Ismail whom you set free. And say 'La ilaha illa Allah' (There is no god but Allah) one hundred times, it will be a protection for you from sins and actions will follow it."

جِئْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنِّي امْرَأَةٌ قَدْ ثَقُلْتُ فَعَلِّمْنِي شَيْئًا أَقُولُهُ وَأَنَا جَالِسَةٌ قَالَ قُولِي اللهُ أَكْبَرُ مِائَةَ مَرَّةٍ فَهُوَ خَيْرٌ لَكِ مِنْ مِائَةِ بَدَنَةٍ مُجَلَّلَةٍ مُتَقَبَّلَةٍ وَقُولِي الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ مِائَةَ مَرَّةٍ فَإِنَّهُ خَيْرٌ لَكِ مِنْ مِائَةِ فَرَسٍ مُسْرَجَةٍ مُلْجَمَةٍ حَمَلْتِيهَا فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ وَقُولِي سُبْحَانَ اللهِ مِائَةَ مَرَّةٍ هُوَ خَيْرٌ لَكِ مِنْ مِائَةِ رَقَبَةٍ مِنْ بَنِي إِسْمَاعِيلَ تُعْتِقِينَهُنَّ وَقُولِي لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ مِائَةَ مَرَّةٍ لَا تَذَرُذَنْبًا وَلَا يَسْبِقُهُ الْعَمَلُ

[AI] I said, "O Prophet of Allah, I am a woman who has become old and weak, so guide me towards a deed." He said, "Glorify Allah one hundred times, praise Allah one hundred times, and exalt Allah one hundred times. It is better for you than offering one hundred acceptable sacrifices, better than riding one hundred well-trained horses for the sake of Allah, and better than freeing one hundred slaves whose freedom is accepted. Saying 'there is no god but Allah' does not leave any sin or action similar to it."

قُلْتُ يَا نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ إِنِّي امْرَأَةٌ قَدْ كَبِرْتُ وَضَعُفْتُ فَدُلَّنِي عَلَى عَمَلٍ قَالَ «كَبِّرِي اللَّهَ مِائَةَ مَرَّةٍ وَاحْمَدِي اللَّهَ مِائَةَ مَرَّةٍ وَسَبِّحِي اللَّهَ مِائَةَ مَرَّةٍ فَهُوَ خَيْرٌ لَكِ مِنْ مِائَةِ بَدَنَةٍ مُتَقَبَّلَةٍ وَخَيْرٌ مِنْ مِائَةِ فَرَسٍ مُسْرَجٍ مُلْجَمٍ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ وَخَيْرٌ مِنْ مِائَةِ رَقَبَةٍ مُتَقَبَّلَةٍ وَقَوْلُ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ لَا يَتْرُكُ ذَنْبًا وَلَا يُشْبِهُهَا عَمَلٌ»

He said, "Say 'Allahu Akbar' (Allah is the greatest) one hundred times. It is better for you than one hundred adorned, accepted bodies. And say 'SubhanAllah' (glory be to Allah) one hundred times. It is better for you than one hundred saddled, bridled horses that you ride in the cause of Allah. And say 'Alhamdulillah' (praise be to Allah) one hundred times. It is better for you than one hundred slaves whom you free from the descendants of Isma'il. And say 'La ilaha illallah' (there is no deity but Allah) one hundred times. They will not leave any religion or deed ahead of it."

جِئْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنِّي امْرَأَةٌ قَدْ ثَقُلْتُ فَعَلِّمْنِي شَيْئًا أَقُولُهُ وَأَنَا جَالِسَةٌ قَالَ قُولِي اللهُ أَكْبَرُ مِائَةَ مَرَّةٍ فَهُوَ خَيْرٌ لَكِ مِنْ مِائَةِ بَدَنَةٍ مُجَلِّلَةٍ مُتَقَبَّلَةٍ وَقُولِي سُبْحَانَ اللهِ مِائَةَ مَرَّةٍ فَهُوَ خَيْرٌ لَكِ مِنْ مِائَةِ فَرَسٍ مُسْرَجَةٍ مُلْجَمَةٍ تَحْمِلِينَ عَلَيْهَا فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ وَقُولِي الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ مِائَةَ مَرَّةٍ فَهُوَ خَيْرٌ لَكِ مِنْ مِائَةِ رَقَبَةٍ تُعْتِقِينَهَا مِنْ بَنِي إِسْمَاعِيلَ وَقُولِي لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ مِائَةَ مَرَّةٍ لَا يَذَرُونَ دِينًا وَلَا يَسْبِقُهُنَّ عَمَلٌ

"قُولِى: الله أَكْبَرُ مِائَةَ مَرَّة فَإِنَّهُ خَيرٌ لَكِ مِن مائَة بَدَنَة مُجَلَّلَةٍ مُتَقَبَّلَةٍ، وَقُولِى: الْحَمْدُ لله مِائَةَ مَرَّةٍ فَإِنَّه خَيرٌ لَكِ مِنْ مائَةِ فَرَسٍ مُسْرُجَةِ مُلْجَمَةَ حَمَّلْتِيَها () في سَبِيلِ الله، وَقُولِى: سُبْحَان الله مِائَةَ مَرَّةٍ هُوَ خَيرٌ لَكِ مِنْ مِائَةِ رَقَبَة مِنْ وَلَدِ إِسْمَاعِيلَ تَعْتِقِين () لله ﷻ، وَقُولِى: لَا إِلهَ إلَّا الله مِائَة مَرَّة لَا تَذَر ذَنْبًا وَلَا يَسْبِقُه الْعَمَلُ".

"قُولِى: سُبْحَانَ الله مِائَة مَرَّة، تَعْدِلُ مِائَةَ رَقَبَةٍ تُعْتَقُ لله - ﷻ - وَاحْمَدِى الله مِائَةَ مَرَّة، تَعْدِلُ مِائَةَ فَرَسٍ مُلْجَمٍ يُحْمَلُ عَلَيهَا فِي سَبِيلِ الله، وَكَبِّرِى الله مِائَةَ مَرَّةٍ تَعْدِلُ مِائَةَ بَدَنَة مُقَلَّدَةً تُهْدَى إِلَى بَيتِ الله، وَوَحِّدِى الله مِائَةَ مَرَّةٍ، لَا يُدْرِكُكِ ذَنْبٌ بَعْدَ الشِّرْكِ".

"مَنْ قَال: سُبْحَانَ الله وَبِحَمْدِهِ، كَانَ مِثْلَ مِائَةِ رَقَبَةٍ تُعْتَقُ إِذَا قَالهَا مِائَةَ مَرَّةٍ، وَمَنْ قَال: الحَمْدُ لله مِائَةَ مَرَّةٍ، كَانَ عِدْلَ مِائةِ فَرَسٍ تُسْرَجُ في سَبِيلِ الله، وَمَنْ قَال: الله أَكْبَرُ مِائَةَ مَرَّةٍ، كَانَ عِدْلَ مِائَةِ بَدَنَةِ تُنْحَرُ بِمَكَّةَ".
