'A'isha reported Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbidding (the preparation of Nabidh) in varnished jar, green pitcher, gourd, and hollow stump,  

نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ عَنِ الدُّبَّاءِ وَالْحَنْتَمِ وَالنَّقِيرِ وَالْمُزَفَّتِ  

Ibn 'Abbas reported that Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade the (preparation of Nabidh) in gourd in pitcher besmeared with pitch, in varnished jar, and in hollow stumps.  

نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ عَنِ الدُّبَّاءِ وَالْحَنْتَمِ وَالْمُزَفَّتِ وَالنَّقِيرِ  

Abu Sa'id Khudri reported that Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade (the preparation) of Nabidh in gourd, in pitcher besmeared with green pitch, in hollow stump and in varnished jar.  

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ نَهَى عَنِ الدُّبَّاءِ وَالْحَنْتَمِ وَالنَّقِيرِ وَالْمُزَفَّتِ  

I bear testimony to the fact that Ibn 'Umar and Ibn 'Abbas testified to the fact that Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade (the preparation) of Nabidh in gourd in vessel besmeared with pitch and hollow stump.  

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ نَهَى عَنِ الدُّبَّاءِ وَالْحَنْتَمِ وَالْمُزَفَّتِ وَالنَّقِيرِ  

I heard Ibn 'Umar say: Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade (the preparation of Nabidh) in a pitcher besmeared with pitch, in gourd, in varnished jar. He said, I heard it from him more than once.  

سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ يَقُولُ نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ عَنِ الْحَنْتَمِ وَالدُّبَّاءِ وَالْمُزَفَّتِ قَالَ سَمِعْتُهُ غَيْرَ مَرَّةٍ  

I heard Ibn 'Umar saying: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade (the preparation of Nabidh) in a green pitcher (besmeared with pitch), in varnished jar, and in gourd, and he said: Prepare Nabidh in small waterskins.  

سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ يَقُولُ نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ عَنِ الْجَرِّ وَالدُّبَّاءِ وَالْمُزَفَّتِ وَقَالَ انْتَبِذُوا فِي الأَسْقِيَةِ  

"The Messenger of Allah [SAW] forbade Ad-Dubba' (gourds), Al-Hantam, An-Naqir, and Al-Muzaffat."  

سَمِعْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ يَقُولُ إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ نَهَى عَنِ الدُّبَّاءِ وَالْحَنْتَمِ وَالنَّقِيرِ وَالْمُزَفَّتِ  

We testify that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade (the use of) gourds, green jars, receptacles smeared with pitch, and hollowed stumps of palm-trees.  

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ نَهَى عَنِ الدُّبَّاءِ وَالْحَنْتَمِ وَالْمُزَفَّتِ وَالنَّقِيرِ  

“The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade Dubba’ and Hantam.”  

نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ عَنِ الدُّبَّاءِ وَالْحَنْتَمِ  

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade gourds and varnished jars.  

نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَنِ الدُّبَّاءِ وَالْمُزَفَّتِ  

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade gourds and varnished jars. (Using translation from Aḥmad 634)

I heard Ibn 'Umar saying: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade (the preparation of Nabidh) in a green pitcher (besmeared with pitch), in varnished jar, and in gourd, and he said: Prepare Nabidh in small waterskins. (Using translation from Muslim 1997l)  

سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ يَقُولُ نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَنِ الْجَرِّ وَالدُّبَّاءِ وَالْمُزَفَّتِ وَقَالَ انْتَبِذُوا فِي الْأَسْقِيَةِ  

I heard Ibn 'Umar saying: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade (the preparation of Nabidh) in a green pitcher (besmeared with pitch), in varnished jar, and in gourd, and he said: Prepare Nabidh in small waterskins. (Using translation from Muslim 1997l)  

سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ يَقُولُ نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَنِ الْجَرِّ وَالدُّبَّاءِ وَالْمُزَفَّتِ وَأَمَرَ أَنْ يُنْتَبَذَ فِي الْأَسْقِيَةِ  

Ibn 'Abbas reported that Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade the (preparation of Nabidh) in gourd in pitcher besmeared with pitch, in varnished jar, and in hollow stumps. (Using translation from Muslim 17e)  

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ نَهَى عَنِ الدُّبَّاءِ وَالْحَنْتَمِوَالْمُزَفَّتِ وَالنَّقِيرِ قَالَ سَعِيدٌ وَقَدْ ذُكِرَ الْمُزَفَّتُ عَنْ غَيْرِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ  

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade selling or giving away the right to inheritance by a manumitted slave. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 2919)   

سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ يَقُولُ نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَنْ بَيْعِ الْوَلَاءِ وَعَنْ هِبَتِهِ  

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade gourds and varnished jars. (Using translation from Aḥmad 634)  

نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَنِ الدُّبَّاءِ وَالْمُزَفَّتِ  

I heard Ibn 'Umar say: Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade (the preparation of Nabidh) in a pitcher besmeared with pitch, in gourd, in varnished jar. He said, I heard it from him more than once. (Using translation from Muslim 1997j)   

سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ يَقُولُ نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَنِ الدُّبَّاءِ وَالْحَنْتَمِ وَالْمُزَفَّتِ قَالَ شُعْبَةُ وَأُرَاهُ قَالَ وَالنَّقِيرِ  

'A'isha reported Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbidding (the preparation of Nabidh) in varnished jar, green pitcher, gourd, and hollow stump, (Using translation from Muslim 1995e)  

نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَنِ الدُّبَّاءِ وَالْمُزَفَّتِ وَالْحَنْتَمِ وَالنَّقِيرِ  

[Machine] Yes, indeed, the Prophet ﷺ prohibited tattooing, branding, mutilation, and ear cropping.  

نَعَمْ إِنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ نَهَى عَنِ الْحَنْتَمِ وَالدُّبَّاءِ وَالنَّقِيرِ وَالْمُزَفَّتِ  

[Machine] I have heard Aisha say that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade being buried in the Dubaa, Hantam, and Muzaffat.  

سَمِعْتُ عَائِشَةَ تَقُولُ نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أَنْ يُنْتَبَذَ فِي الدُّبَّاءِ وَالْحَنْتَمِ وَالْمُزَفَّتِ  

'A'isha reported Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbidding (the preparation of Nabidh) in varnished jar, green pitcher, gourd, and hollow stump, (Using translation from Muslim 1995e)  

نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَنِ الدُّبَّاءِ وَالْحَنْتَمِ وَالنَّقِيرِ وَالْمُزَفَّتِ  

[Machine] I heard Aisha say that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ prohibited us from seeking refuge in the Dabba, Hantam, and Muzaffat.  

سَمِعْتُ عَائِشَةَ تَقُولُ نَهَانَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أَنْ نَنْتَبِذَ فِي الدُّبَّاءِ وَالْحَنْتَمِ وَالْمُزَفَّتِ  

[Machine] I heard Aisha say that the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , prohibited seeking omens through the divination arrows, divination in the animal's liver, and divination by means of bird's feather.  

سَمِعْتُ عَائِشَةَ تَقُولُ نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أَنْ يُنْتَبَذَ فِي الدُّبَّاءِ وَالْحَنْتَمِ وَالْمُزَفَّتِ  

We testify that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade (the use of) gourds, green jars, receptacles smeared with pitch, and hollowed stumps of palm-trees. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 3690)  

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ نَهَى عَنِ الدُّبَّاءِ وَالْحَنْتَمِ وَالْمُزَفَّتِ

«نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَنِ الدُّبَّاءِ وَالْحَنْتَمِ وَالْمُزَفَّتِ»  

We testify that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade (the use of) gourds, green jars, receptacles smeared with pitch, and hollowed stumps of palm-trees. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 3690)  

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ «نَهَى عَنِ الدُّبَّاءِ وَالْمُزَفَّتِ وَالنَّقِيرِ وَالْحَنْتَمِ»  

[Machine] I heard Ibn Abbas saying, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade hunting wild animals with dogs, and he also forbade the confinement of animals for the purpose of target practice."  

سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ يَقُولُ «نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَنِ الدُّبَّاءِ وَالْحَنْتَمِ وَالنَّقِيرِ»  

Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade the selling or donating the Wala' of a freed slave. (Using translation from Bukhārī 2535)  

سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ يَقُولُ «نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَنْ بَيْعِ الْوَلَاءِ وَعَنْ هِبَتِهِ»  

"The Messenger of Allah [SAW] forbade Ad-Dubba' (gourds), Al-Hantam and Al-Muzaffat." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 5634)  

سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ يَقُولُ «نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَنِ الدُّبَّاءِ وَالْحَنْتَمِ وَالْمُزَفَّتِ»  

"The Messenger of Allah [SAW] forbade Ad-Dubba' (gourds), Al-Hantam and Al-Muzaffat." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 5634)  

سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ يَقُولُ «نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَنِ الدُّبَّاءِ وَالْحَنْتَمِ وَالْمُزَفَّتِ»  

"The Messenger of Allah [SAW] forbade Ad-Dubba' (gourds), Al-Hantam, An-Naqir, and Al-Muzaffat." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 5637)  

سَمِعْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ يَقُولُ إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ «نَهَى عَنِ الدُّبَّاءِ وَالْحَنْتَمِ وَالنَّقِيرِ وَالْمُزَفَّتِ»  

The above hadith is narrated through a different chain with slight variation in wording. (Using translation from Muslim 1992b)   

سَمِعْتُ أَنَسًا يَقُولُ نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَنِ الدُّبَّاءِ وَالْمُزَفَّتِ أَنْ يُنْتَبَذَ فِيهِ  

"عن على قال: نَهَانَا رَسُولُ الله ﷺ عَنِ الدُّبَّاءِ، وَالْحَنْتَم وَالنَّقِيرِ، وَالْمُزَفَّتِ، وَالْجِعَةِ".  

"نَهَى عن الدُّبَّاءِ، والنَقِيرِ، والمُزَفِّتِ، والَحْنتَم".
