"If she let him do that, I will flog him with one hundred stripes, and if she did not let him do that, I will stone him (to death)."  

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ فِي رَجُلٍ وَقَعَ بِجَارِيَةِ امْرَأَتِهِ إِنْ كَانَتْ أَحَلَّتْهَا لَهُ فَأَجْلِدْهُ مِائَةً وَإِنْ لَمْ تَكُنْ أَحَلَّتْهَا لَهُ فَأَرْجُمْهُ  

The Prophet ﷺ said: about a man who had (unlawful) intercourse with his wife's slave girl: If she made her lawful for him, he will be flogged one hundred lashes; if she did not make her lawful for him, I shall stone him.  

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فِي الرَّجُلِ يَأْتِي جَارِيَةَ امْرَأَتِهِ قَالَ إِنْ كَانَتْ أَحَلَّتْهَا لَهُ جُلِدَ مِائَةً وَإِنْ لَمْ تَكُنْ أَحَلَّتْهَا لَهُ رَجَمْتُهُ  

"A man was brought to An-Nu'man bin Bashir who had relations with the slave girl of his wife. He said: 'I give you judgement about her case according to the judgement of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ: If she made her lawful for him, then I will lash him one hundred times, and if she did not make her lawful, then I will stone him."  

لأَقْضِيَنَّ فِيهَا بِقَضَاءِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ لَئِنْ كَانَتْ أَحَلَّتْهَا لَهُ لأَجْلِدَنَّهُ مِائَةً وَإِنْ لَمْ تَكُنْ أَحَلَّتْهَا لَهُ رَجَمْتُهُ  

“A man who had intercourse with the slave woman of his wife was brought to Nuʿman bin Bashir. He said: 'I will pass no other judgement than that of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ He said: 'If (his wife) had made her lawful for him, then I will give him one hundred lashes, but if she has not given permission, I will stone him.' ”  

لاَ أَقْضِي فِيهَا إِلاَّ بِقَضَاءِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ إِنْ كَانَتْ أَحَلَّتْهَا لَهُ جَلَدْتُهُ مِائَةً وَإِنْ لَمْ تَكُنْ أَذِنَتْ لَهُ رَجَمْتُهُ  

[Machine] "I will decide that according to the ruling of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ . If you have permitted it for him, I will strike him with a hundred lashes, and if you have not permitted it for him, I will stone him."  

سَأَقْضِي فِي ذَلِكَ بِقَضَاءِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ إِنْ كُنْتِ أَحْلَلْتِيهَا لَهُ ضَرَبْتُهُ مِائَةَ سَوْطٍ وَإِنْ لَمْ تَكُونِي أَحْلَلْتِيهَا لَهُ رَجَمْتُهُ  

Habib ibn Salim said: A man called AbdurRahman ibn Hunayn had intercourse with his wife's slave-girl. The matter was brought to an-Nu'man ibn Bashir who was the Governor of Kufah. He said: I shall decide between you in accordance with the decision of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. If she made her lawful for you, I shall flog you one hundred lashes. If she did not make her lawful for you, I shall stone you to death. So they found that she had made her lawful for him. He, therefore, flogged him one hundred lashes. Qatadah said: I wrote to Habib b. Salim; so he wrote this (tradition) to me. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 4458)   

لَأَقْضِيَنَّ فِيكَ بِقَضَاءِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ إِنْ كَانَتْ أَحَلَّتْهَا لَكَ جَلَدْتُكَ مِائَةً وَإِنْ لَمْ تَكُنْ أَحَلَّتْهَا لَكَ رَجَمْتُكَ فَوَجَدَهَا قَدْ أَحَلَّتْهَا لَهُفَجَلَدَهُ مِائَةً  

The Prophet ﷺ said: about a man who had (unlawful) intercourse with his wife's slave girl: If she made her lawful for him, he will be flogged one hundred lashes; if she did not make her lawful for him, I shall stone him. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 4459)  

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّهُ قَالَ فِي الرَّجُلِ يَأْتِي جَارِيَةَ امْرَأَتِهِ قَالَ إِنْ كَانَتْ أَحَلَّتْهَا لَهُ جَلَدْتُهُ مِائَةً وَإِنْ لَمْ تَكُنْ أَحَلَّتْهَا لَهُ رَجَمْتُهُ

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فِي الرَّجُلِ أَتَى جَارِيَةَ امْرَأَتِهِ قَالَ «إِنْ كَانَتْ حَلَّلَتْهَا لَهُ جُلِدَ مِائَةً وَإِنْ لَمْ تَكُنْ أَحَلَّتْهَا لَهُ رَجَمْتُهُ»  

"If she let him do that, I will flog him with one hundred stripes , and if she did not let him, I will stone him (to death)." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 3360)  

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ فِي الرَّجُلِ يَأْتِي جَارِيَةَ امْرَأَتِهِ قَالَ «إِنْ كَانَتْ أَحَلَّتْهَا لَهُ جَلَدْتُهُ وَإِنْ لَمْ تَكُنْ أَحَلَّتْهَا لَهُ رَجَمْتُهُ»  

“A man who had intercourse with the slave woman of his wife was brought to Nuʿman bin Bashir. «لَأَقْضِيَنَّ فِيهَا بِقَضَاءِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ إِنْ كَانَتْ أَحَلَّتْهَا لَهُ جَلَدْتُهُ مِائَةً وَإِنْ لَمْ تَكُنْ أَحَلَّتْهَا لَهُ رَجَمْتُهُ»

“A man who had intercourse with the slave woman of his wife was brought to Nuʿman bin Bashir. عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّهُ قَالَ فِي الرَّجُلِ يَأْتِي جَارِيَةَ امْرَأَتِهِ قَالَ إِنْ كَانَتْ أَحَلَّتْهَا لَهُ جَلْدُ مِائَةٍ وَإِنْ لَمْ تَكُنْ أَحَلَّتْهَا لَهُ رَجَمْتُهُ وَرَوَاهُ قَتَادَةُ عَنْ خَالِدِ بْنِ عُرْفُطَةَ
