I was in Hims when some of the people asked me to recite the Qur'an to them. So I recited Surah Yusuf to them. One of the persons among the people said: By Allah, this is not how it has been sent down. I said: Woe upon you! By Allah, I recited it to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and he said to me: You have (recited) it well. I was talking with him (the man who objected to my recitation) that I sensed the smell of wine from him. So I said to him. Do you drink wine and belie the Book (of Allah)? You would not depart till I would whip you. So I lashed him according to the prescribed punishment (for the offence of drinking wine). (Using translation from Muslim 801a)   

الكبرى للنسائي:٨٠٢٦ – أَخْبَرَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ خَشْرَمٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا عِيسَى عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ قَالَ

بَيْنَا أَنَا بِالشَّامِ بِحِمْصَ فَقِيلَ لِي اقْرَأْ سُورَةَ يُوسُفَ فَقَرَأْتُهَا فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ «مَا كَذَا أُنْزِلَتْ» فَقُلْتُ وَاللهِ لَقَدْ قَرَأْتُهَا عَلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ أَحْسَنْتَ فَبَيْنَا أَنَا أُكَلِّمُهُ إِذْ وَجَدْتُ رِيحَ الْخَمْرِ قُلْتُ أَتُكَذِّبُ بِكِتَابِ اللهِ وَتَشْرَبُ الْخَمْرَ وَاللهِ لَا تَبْرَحُ حَتَّى أَجْلِدَكَ الْحَدَّ

مسلم:٨٠١a – حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرٌ عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ كُنْتُ بِحِمْصَ فَقَالَ

لِي بَعْضُ الْقَوْمِ اقْرَأْ عَلَيْنَا فَقَرَأْتُ عَلَيْهِمْ سُورَةَ يُوسُفَ قَالَ فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ مِنَ الْقَوْمِ وَاللَّهِ مَا هَكَذَا أُنْزِلَتْ قَالَ قُلْتُ وَيْحَكَ وَاللَّهِ لَقَدْ قَرَأْتُهَا عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ لِي أَحْسَنْتَ فَبَيْنَمَا أَنَا أُكَلِّمُهُ إِذْ وَجَدْتُ مِنْهُ رِيحَ الْخَمْرِ قَالَ فَقُلْتُ أَتَشْرَبُ الْخَمْرَ وَتُكَذِّبُ بِالْكِتَابِ لاَ تَبْرَحُ حَتَّى أَجْلِدَكَ قَالَ فَجَلَدْتُهُ الْحَدَّ  

ahmad:4033 – Ibn Numayr And Yaʿlá > al-Aʿmash > Ibrāhīm > ʿAlqamah > Atá ʿAbdullāh al-Shām

[Machine] There were people from the people of Homs. He said, "Read to us." So he recited Surah Yusuf to them. Then a man from the people stood up and said, "By Allah, it was not revealed like this." Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) said, "Woe to you, I have recited it to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in this way." He said, "You have done well." While he was reviewing it, he found the smell of alcohol coming from him. So he said, "Do you drink the impure and deny the Quran? By Allah, I will not leave you alone until I flog you." And he flogged him with the prescribed punishment.  

أحمد:٤٠٣٣ – حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ وَيَعْلَى عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ قَالَ أَتَى عَبْدُ اللهِ الشَّامَ فَقَالَ
