The Prophet ﷺ said the salam, then he spoke, then he performed two prostrations of forgetfulness. (Using translation from Nasāʾī 1329)  

الكبرى للنسائي:١٢٥٣أَخْبَرَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ آدَمَ عَنْ حَفْصٍ عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ «سَلَّمَ ثُمَّ تَكَلَّمَ ثُمَّ سَجَدَ سَجْدَتَيِ السَّهْوِ»

The Apostle of Allah ﷺ performed two prostrations for forgetfulness after salutation and talking.  

مسلم:٥٧٢mوَحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ وَأَبُو كُرَيْبٍ قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ ح قَالَ وَحَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ حَدَّثَنَا حَفْصٌ وَأَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ سَجَدَ سَجْدَتَىِ السَّهْوِ بَعْدَ السَّلاَمِ وَالْكَلاَمِ

Abu Hurairah reported; He then made two prostration on account of forgetfulness after he had given the salutation.  

أبو داود:١٠١٦حَدَّثَنَا هَارُونُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ حَدَّثَنَا هَاشِمُ بْنُ الْقَاسِمِ حَدَّثَنَا عِكْرِمَةُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ عَنْ ضَمْضَمِ بْنِ جَوْسٍ الْهِفَّانِيِّ حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ بِهَذَا الْخَبَرِ قَالَ

ثُمَّ سَجَدَ سَجْدَتَىِ السَّهْوِ بَعْدَ مَا سَلَّمَ
