Expressing love for children is from the Allah's mercy in the hearts

muslim:2317 – Abū Bakr b. Abū Shaybah And ʾAbū Kurayb > Abū Usāmah And Ibn Numayr > Hishām from his father > ʿĀʾishah

Some Bedouins came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said, “Do you kiss your children?” He said, “Yes.” They said, “But by Allah, we do not kiss (ours).” The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “What can I do if Allah has removed mercy from you?”

Ibn Numayr said: “(removed) mercy from your heart.”

مسلم:٢٣١٧ – حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ وَأَبُو كُرَيْبٍ قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ وَابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ عَنْ هِشَامٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ

قَدِمَ نَاسٌ مِنَ الأَعْرَابِ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَقَالُوا: أَتُقَبِّلُونَ صِبْيَانَكُمْ؟ فَقَالُوا: نَعَمْ. فَقَالُوا: لَكِنَّا وَاللَّهِ مَا نُقَبِّلُ. فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ: *«وَأَمْلِكُ إِنْ كَانَ اللَّهُ نَزَعَ مِنْكُمُ الرَّحْمَةَ؟».

وَقَالَ ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ «مِنْ قَلْبِكَ الرَّحْمَةَ».

A bedouin came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, "You (people) kiss the boys! We don't kiss them." The Prophet said, "I cannot put mercy in your heart after Allah has taken it away from it."

"Some Bedouin people came to the Prophet ﷺ and said: 'Do you kiss your children?' He said: 'Yes'. He said: 'But we, by Allah, never kiss (our children)'. The Prophet ﷺ said: 'What can I do if Allah has taken away mercy from you?'"

ابن ماجة:٣٦٦٥ – حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ

ahmad:24291 – Ibn Numayr > Hishām from his father > ʿĀʾishah

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ came across a Bedouin Arab who asked, "O Messenger of Allah, do you show affection to children?" The Prophet ﷺ replied, "By Allah, we do not kiss them." Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "I cannot control that Allah has removed mercy from your heart."

أحمد:٢٤٢٩١ – حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ

[Machine] An Arab came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said, "Do you kiss children?" He replied, "By Allah, we do not kiss them." The man said, "I cannot believe it if Allah has removed mercy from you."

جَاءَ أَعْرَابِيٌّ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَقَالَ أَتُقَبِّلُونَ الصِّبْيَانَ؟ فَمَا نُقَبِّلُهُمْ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «وَمَا أَمْلِكُ لَكَ أَنْ نَزَعَ اللَّهُ الرَّحْمَةَ مِنْ قَلْبِكَ»

adab:98 –

'A'isha said, "Some bedouins came to the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace. One of their men said to him, 'Messenger of Allah, do you kiss children? By Allah, we do not kiss them.' The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'Can I put mercy in your hearts after Allah has removed it from them?'"

عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا قَالَتْ أَتَى النَّبِيَّ ﷺ نَاسٌ مِنَ الأعْرَابِ فَقَالَ لَهُ رَجُلٌ مِنْهُمْ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ أَتُقَبِّلُونَ الصِّبْيَانَ فَوَاللَّهِ مَا نُقَبِّلُهُمْ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أَوَ أَمْلِكُ إِنْ كَانَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ نَزَعَ مِنْ قَلْبِكَ الرَّحْمَةَ؟
