'A'isha said, "A bedouin came to the Prophet ﷺ and asked, "Do you kiss your children? We do not kiss them.' The Prophet ﷺ said, 'Can I put mercy in your hearts after Allah has removed it from them?'"

جَاءَ أَعْرَابِيٌّ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَقَالَ أَتُقَبِّلُونَ صِبْيَانَكُمْ؟ فَمَا نُقَبِّلُهُمْ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ أَوَ أَمْلِكُ لَكَ أَنْ نَزَعَ اللَّهُ مِنْ قَلْبِكَ الرَّحْمَةَ؟

'A'isha said, "Some bedouins came to the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace. One of their men said to him, 'Messenger of Allah, do you kiss children? By Allah, we do not kiss them.' The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'Can I put mercy in your hearts after Allah has removed it from them?'"

عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا قَالَتْ أَتَى النَّبِيَّ ﷺ نَاسٌ مِنَ الأعْرَابِ فَقَالَ لَهُ رَجُلٌ مِنْهُمْ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ أَتُقَبِّلُونَ الصِّبْيَانَ فَوَاللَّهِ مَا نُقَبِّلُهُمْ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أَوَ أَمْلِكُ إِنْ كَانَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ نَزَعَ مِنْ قَلْبِكَ الرَّحْمَةَ؟

Some Bedouins came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said, “Do you kiss your children?” He said, “Yes.” They said, “But by Allah, we do not kiss (ours).” The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “What can I do if Allah has removed mercy from you?”

قَدِمَ نَاسٌ مِنَ الأَعْرَابِ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَقَالُوا: أَتُقَبِّلُونَ صِبْيَانَكُمْ؟ فَقَالُوا: نَعَمْ. فَقَالُوا: لَكِنَّا وَاللَّهِ مَا نُقَبِّلُ. فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ: «وَأَمْلِكُ إِنْ كَانَ اللَّهُ نَزَعَ مِنْكُمُ الرَّحْمَةَ؟».

"Some Bedouin people came to the Prophet ﷺ and said: 'Do you kiss your children?' He said: 'Yes'. He said: 'But we, by Allah, never kiss (our children)'. The Prophet ﷺ said: 'What can I do if Allah has taken away mercy from you?'"

قَدِمَ نَاسٌ مِنَ الأَعْرَابِ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَقَالُوا أَتُقَبِّلُونَ صِبْيَانَكُمْ قَالُوا نَعَمْ فَقَالُوا لَكِنَّا وَاللَّهِ مَا نُقَبِّلُ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ وَأَمْلِكُ أَنْ كَانَ اللَّهُ قَدْ نَزَعَ مِنْكُمُ الرَّحْمَةَ

[AI] The Prophet ﷺ came across a Bedouin Arab who asked, "O Messenger of Allah, do you show affection to children?" The Prophet ﷺ replied, "By Allah, we do not kiss them." Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "I cannot control that Allah has removed mercy from your heart."

أَتَى النَّبِيَّ ﷺ أَعْرَابِيٌّ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ أَتُقَبِّلُ الصِّبْيَانَ؟ فَوَاللهِ مَا نُقَبِّلُهُمْ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مَا أَمْلِكُ أَنَّ اللهَ ﷻ نَزَعَ مِنْ قَلْبِكَ الرَّحْمَةَ

[AI] An Arab came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said, "Do you kiss children?" He replied, "By Allah, we do not kiss them." The man said, "I cannot believe it if Allah has removed mercy from you."

جَاءَ أعراب إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ قَالوا أَتُقَبِّلُونَ الصِّبْيَانَ؟ قَالَ وَاللهِ مَا نُقَبِّلُهُمْ قَالَ لَا أَمْلِكُ إِنْ كَانَ اللهُ ﷻ نَزَعَ مِنْكَ الرَّحْمَةَ

A bedouin came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, "You (people) kiss the boys! We don't kiss them." The Prophet said, "I cannot put mercy in your heart after Allah has taken it away from it." (Using translation from Bukhārī 5998)

جَاءَ أَعْرَابِيٌّ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَقَالَ أَتُقَبِّلُونَ الصِّبْيَانَ؟ فَمَا نُقَبِّلُهُمْ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «وَمَا أَمْلِكُ لَكَ أَنْ نَزَعَ اللَّهُ الرَّحْمَةَ مِنْ قَلْبِكَ»

[AI] An Arab man came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, "Do you accept young children?" The Messenger of Allah ﷺ replied, "Would I have power over Allah to remove mercy from your heart?"

جَاءَ أَعْرَابِيٌّ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَقَالَ أَتُقَبِّلُونَ الصِّبْيَانَ فَمَا نُقَبِّلُهُمْ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أَوَأَمْلِكُ لَكَ أَنْ نَزَعَ اللهُ الرَّحْمَةَ مِنْ قَلْبِكَ

" أَوَ أَمْلِكُ لَكَ أَنْ نَزَعَ اللَّهُ من قَلبك الرَّحْمَة "؟ ! . .
