ذِكْرُ مَا لِلْمَرْءِ أَنْ يَسْتَعْمِلَ فِي أَسْبَابِهِ كُلِّهَا

The Messenger of Allah [SAW] liked to start on the right whenever possible; when purifying himself, when putting on his shoes, and when combing his hair. (Using translation from Nasāʾī 5240)  

ابن حبّان:١٠٩١أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ خُزَيْمَةَ وَعُمَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْأَعْلَى حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدُ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ حَدَّثَنَا الْأَشْعَثُ بْنُ سُلَيْمٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبِي يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ

«أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ كَانَ يُحِبُّ التَّيَامُنَ مَا اسْتَطَاعَ فِي طُهُورِهِ وَتَنَعُّلِهِ وَتَرَجُّلِهِ»

The Prophet ﷺ used to start every thing from the right (for good things) whenever it was possible in all his affairs; for example: in washing, combing or wearing shoes.

The Prophet ﷺ used to love to start doing things from the right side whenever possible, in performing ablution, putting on his shoes, and combing his hair. (Al-Ash'ath said: The Prophet ﷺ used to do so in all his affairs.)

The Prophet ﷺ used to like starting from the right in performing ablution, combing his hair and putting on his shoes.

muslim:268bʿUbaydullāh b. Muʿādh from my father > Shuʿbah > al-Ashʿath from his father > Masrūq > ʿĀʾishah

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ loved to start from the right-hand side in his every act i. e. in wearing shoes, in combing (his hair) and in performing ablution.

"The Prophet ﷺ used to like to start with the right as much as he could when purifying himself, putting on sandals and combing his hair" - and he (the narrator) said in Wasit (a place in Iraq): "And in all his affairs."

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , used to prefer the right in all his affairs, whether in his purification, wearing his shoes, or mounting his animal. Then I asked him about performing ablution with the Kufiyyah (headshawl), and he said, "Prefer the right as much as you can."  

أحمد:٢٤٩٩٠حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ قَالَ أَشْعَثُ بْنُ سُلَيْمٍ أَخْبَرَنِي أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَاهُ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يُحِبُّ التَّيَمُّنَ فِي شَأْنِهِ كُلِّهِ فِي طُهُورِهِ وَتَرَجُّلِهِ وَنَعْلِهِ قَالَ ثُمَّ سَأَلْتُهُ بِالْكُوفَةِ فَقَالَ التَّيَمُّنَ مَا اسْتَطَاعَ

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ used to like being conscious and careful in his purification, shoes, and walking.  

أحمد:٢٥٦٦٤حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى عَنْ شُعْبَةَ عَنْ أَشْعَثَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يُحِبُّ التَّيَامُنَ فِي طُهُورِهِ وَنَعْلِهِ وَفِي تَرَجُّلِهِ

[Machine] She said, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to prefer the right side in all his affairs. Then Al-Ash'ath said, "Finally, he used to prefer the right side as much as he could in his mounting, shoes, and purification."
