a man came to the Prophet accompanied by a son of his. He said to him: "Do you love him?" He said: "May Allah love you as I love him." Then he (the son) died and he noticed his absence and asked about him. He said: "Will it not make you happy to know that you will not come to any of the gates of Paradise but you will find him there, trying to open it for you?"

أَنَّ رَجُلاً أَتَى النَّبِيَّ ﷺ وَمَعَهُ ابْنٌ لَهُ فَقَالَ لَهُ أَتُحِبُّهُ فَقَالَ أَحَبَّكَ اللَّهُ كَمَا أُحِبُّهُ فَمَاتَ فَفَقَدَهُ فَسَأَلَ عَنْهُ فَقَالَ مَا يَسُرُّكَ أَنْ لاَ تَأْتِيَ بَابًا مِنْ أَبْوَابِ الْجَنَّةِ إِلاَّ وَجَدْتَهُ عِنْدَهُ يَسْعَى يَفْتَحُ لَكَ

[Machine] A man used to come to the Prophet ﷺ with his son. The Prophet ﷺ asked him, "Do you love him?" The man replied, "O Messenger of Allah, may Allah love you as I love him." The Prophet ﷺ then lost the child and asked, "What happened to the son of so-and-so?" They replied, "O Messenger of Allah, he passed away." The Prophet ﷺ said to his father, "Do you not want to find him waiting for you at the gate of Paradise whenever you enter?" A man asked, "O Messenger of Allah, is this specific to him or for all of us?" The Prophet ﷺ replied, "No, it is for all of you."

أَنَّ رَجُلًا كَانَ يَأْتِي النَّبِيَّ ﷺ وَمَعَهُ ابْنٌ لَهُ فَقَالَ لَهُ النَّبِيّ ﷺ أَتُحِبُّهُ؟ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ أَحَبَّكَ اللهُ كَمَا أُحِبُّهُ فَفَقَدَهُ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ فَقَالَ مَا فَعَلَ ابْنُ فُلَانٍ؟ قَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ مَاتَ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ لِأَبِيهِ أَمَا تُحِبُّ أَنْ لَا تَأْتِيَ بَابًا مِنْ أَبْوَابِ الْجَنَّةِ إِلَّا وَجَدْتَهُ يَنْتَظِرُكَ؟ فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ أَلَهُ خَاصَّةً أَمْ لِكُلِّنَا؟ قَالَ بَلْ لِكُلِّكُمْ

[Machine] A man used to come to the Prophet ﷺ with his son. The Prophet ﷺ asked him, "Do you love him?" The man replied, "O Messenger of Allah, may Allah love you as I love him." The Prophet ﷺ lost the boy, so he asked, "What happened to the son of so-and-so?" They replied, "O Messenger of Allah, he passed away." The Prophet ﷺ said to his father, "Would you not want to enter any of the gates of Paradise and find him waiting for you?" A man then asked, "O Messenger of Allah, is this privilege for him only or for all of us?" The Prophet ﷺ replied, "Rather, it is for all of you."

إِنَّ رَجُلًا كَانَ يَأْتِي النَّبِيَّ ﷺ وَمَعَهُ ابْنٌ لَهُ فَقَالَ لَهُ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ أَتُحِبُّهُ؟ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ أَحَبَّكَ اللهُ كَمَا أُحِبُّهُ فَفَقَدَهُ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ فَقَالَ مَا فَعَلَ ابْنُ فُلَانٍ؟ قَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ مَاتَ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ لِأَبِيهِ أَمَا تُحِبُّ أَنْ لَا تَأْتِيَ بَابًا مِنْ أَبْوَابِ الْجَنَّةِ إِلَّا وَجَدْتَهُ يَنْتَظِرُكَ؟ فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ أَلَهُ خَاصَّةً أَوْ لِكُلِّنَا؟ قَالَ بَلْ لِكُلِّكُمْ

[Machine] A man came to the Prophet ﷺ with his sons and the Prophet ﷺ lost him. They said, "He has died, O Messenger of Allah." The Prophet ﷺ said to his father, "Are you not pleased that you would not come to any gate of Paradise except that you would find him waiting for you?"

كَانَ رَجُلٌ يَخْتَلِفُ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ مَعَ بُنَيٍّ لَهُ فَفَقَدَهُ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ فَقَالُوا مَاتَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ لِأَبِيهِ «أَمَا يَسُرُّكَ أَلَا تَأْتِي بَابًا مِنْ أَبْوَابِ الْجَنَّةِ إِلَّا وَجَدْتَهُ يَنْتَظِرُكَ»

[Machine] A man used to come to the Prophet ﷺ, and with him was his son. The Prophet ﷺ asked him, "Do you love him?" He replied, "I love him for the sake of Allah as I love you." Then his son passed away, and the Prophet ﷺ asked, "Where is so-and-so?" They replied, "O Messenger of Allah, his son has passed away." The Prophet ﷺ said to him, "Does it not please you that you should not come to any of the gates of paradise except that he will open it for you?" They asked, "O Messenger of Allah, is this particular to him or for all of us?" He replied, "No, it is for all of you." [This wording is from the hadith of 'Amr ibn Marzouq']

أَنَّ رَجُلًا كَانَ يَخْتَلِفُ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ وَمَعَهُ ابْنٌ لَهُ فَقَالَ لَهُ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «أَتُحِبُّهُ؟» قَالَ أَحَبَّكَ اللهُ كَمَا أُحِبُّهُ فَتُوُفِّيَ ابْنُهُ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «أَيْنَ فُلَانٌ؟» قَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ مَاتَ ابْنُهُ فَقَالَ لَهُ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «أَوَ لَا يَسُرُّكَ أَنْ لَا تَأْتِيَ بَابًا مِنْ أَبْوَابِ الْجَنَّةِ إِلَّا جَاءَ حَتَّى يَفْتَحَهُ لَكَ» قَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ أَلَهُ خَاصَّةً أَمْ لَنَا كُلُّنَا؟ قَالَ «لَا بَلْ لَكُمْ كُلُّكُمْ» «وَاللَّفْظُ لِحَدِيثِ عَمْرِو بْنِ مَرْزُوقٍ»

النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَتُحِبُّهُ فَقَالَ أَحَبَّكَ اللَّهُ كَمَا أُحِبُّهُ فَفَقَدَهُ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَسَأَلَ عَنْهُ فَقَالُوا مَاتَ ابْنُهُ فَأَتَاهُ فَقَالَ مَا يَسُرُّكَ أَلَّا تَأْتِي بَابًا مِنْ أَبْوَابِ الْجَنَّةِ إِلَّا وَجَدْتَهُ عِنْدَهُ يَفْتَحُ لَكَ وَهَذَا الْكَلَامُ لَا نَعْلَمُ رَوَاهُ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِلَّا قُرَّةُ بْنُ إِيَاسَ
