[Machine] Whoever seeks knowledge for four purposes: to enter into Hell, to boast to scholars, to mock fools, to turn people's faces towards him, or to manipulate rulers.
مَنْ طَلَبَ الْعِلْمَ لِأَرْبَعٍ دَخَلَ النَّارَ أَوْ نَحْوَ هَذِهِ الْكَلِمَةِ لِيُبَاهِيَ بِهِ الْعُلَمَاءَ أَوْ لِيُمَارِيَ بِهِ السُّفَهَاءَ أَوْ لِيَصْرِفَ بِهِ وُجُوهَ النَّاسِ إِلَيْهِ أَوْ لِيَأْخُذَ بِهِ مِنَ الْأُمَرَاءِ
from his father that he heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying: "Whoever seeks knowledge to contend with the scholars, or to use it to argue with the fools, and to have people's faces turn towards him, then he shall be admitted to the Fire."
سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ مَنْ طَلَبَ الْعِلْمَ لِيُجَارِيَ بِهِ الْعُلَمَاءَ أَوْ لِيُمَارِيَ بِهِ السُّفَهَاءَ أَوْ يَصْرِفَ بِهِ وُجُوهَ النَّاسِ إِلَيْهِ أَدْخَلَهُ اللَّهُ النَّارَ
The Messenger of Allah said: "Whoever seeks knowledge in order to argue with the foolish, or to show off before the scholars, or to attract people's attention, will be in Hell."
عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ مَنْ طَلَبَ الْعِلْمَ لِيُمَارِيَ بِهِ السُّفَهَاءَ أَوْ لِيُبَاهِيَ بِهِ الْعُلَمَاءَ أَوْ لِيَصْرِفَ وُجُوهَ النَّاسِ إِلَيْهِ فَهُوَ فِي النَّارِ

«مَنْ طَلَبَ الْعِلْمَ لِيُمَارِيَ بِهِ السُّفَهَاءَ وَلِيُبَاهِيَ بِهِ الْعُلَمَاءَ أَوْ لِيَصْرِفَ بِهِ وُجُوهَ النَّاسِ إِلَيْهِ فَهُوَ فِي نَارِ جَهَنَّمَ»

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «مَنْ طَلَبَ الْعِلْمَ لِيُبَاهِيَ بِهِ الْعُلَمَاءَ أَوْ لِيُمَارِيَ بِهِ السُّفَهَاءَ أَوْ يُرِيدُ أَنْ يُقْبِلَ بِوُجُوهِ النَّاسِ إِلَيْهِ أَدْخَلَهُ اللَّهُ جَهَنَّمَ»

مَنْ طَلَبَ الْحَدِيثَ لِيُمَارِيَ بِهِ السُّفَهَاءَ أَوْ لِيُبَاهِيَ بِهِ الْعُلَمَاءَ أَوْ لِيَصْرِفَ بِهِ وُجُوهَ النَّاسِ إِلَيْهِ فَهُوَ فِي النَّارِ
"مَنْ طَلَبَ العِلْمَ لإِحْدَى ثَلاثٍ: لِيُجَارِي بِهِ العُلَمَاءَ، أَوْ لِيُمَارِي بِهِ السُّفَهَاءَ، وَيَصْرِفَ بِهِ وُجُوهَ النَّاسِ إِلَيهِ أَدْخَلَهُ اللهُ النَّارَ".
"مَنْ طَلَبَ العِلَمَ لِيُبَاهِي بِهِ العُلَمَاءَ، أَوْ لِيُمَارِي بِهِ السُّفَهَاءَ، أَوْ لِيَصْرفَ بِهِ وجُوهَ النَّاسِ إِلَيهِ فَهُوَ فِي النَّار".
"مَنْ طَلَبَ العِلْمَ لِيُمَارِي بِهِ السُّفَهَاءَ، أَوْ يُكَاثِرَ بهِ العُلَمَاءَ، أَوْ يَصْرِفَ بِهِ وجُوهَ النَّاسِ إِلَيهِ فلْيَتَبَوَّأ مَقْعَدَهُ مِنَ النَّارِ".
