When the last moment of the life of Messenger of Allah ﷺ came he started putting his 'Khamisa' on his face and when he felt hot and short of breath he took it off his face and said, "May Allah curse the Jews and Christians for they built the places of worship at the graves of their Prophets." The Prophet ﷺ was warning (Muslims) of what those had done.  

لَمَّا نَزَلَ بِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ طَفِقَ يَطْرَحُ خَمِيصَةً لَهُ عَلَى وَجْهِهِ فَإِذَا اغْتَمَّ بِهَا كَشَفَهَا عَنْ وَجْهِهِ فَقَالَ وَهْوَ كَذَلِكَ لَعْنَةُ اللَّهِ عَلَى الْيَهُودِ وَالنَّصَارَى اتَّخَذُوا قُبُورَ أَنْبِيَائِهِمْ مَسَاجِدَ يُحَذِّرُ مَا صَنَعُوا  

On his death-bed Messenger of Allah ﷺ put a sheet over his-face and when he felt hot, he would remove it from his face. When in that state (of putting and removing the sheet) he said, "May Allah's Curse be on the Jews and the Christians for they build places of worship at the graves of their prophets." (By that) he intended to warn (the Muslim) from what they (i.e. Jews and Christians) had done.  

أَنَّ عَائِشَةَ وَابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ ؓ قَالاَ لَمَّا نَزَلَ بِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ طَفِقَ يَطْرَحُ خَمِيصَةً عَلَى وَجْهِهِ فَإِذَا اغْتَمَّ كَشَفَهَا عَنْ وَجْهِهِ فَقَالَ وَهْوَ كَذَلِكَ لَعْنَةُ اللَّهِ عَلَى الْيَهُودِ وَالنَّصَارَى اتَّخَذُوا قُبُورَ أَنْبِيَائِهِمْ مَسَاجِدَ يُحَذِّرُ مَا صَنَعُوا  

ʿAisha and ʿAbdullah bin ʿAbbas said, "When Messenger of Allah ﷺ became ill seriously, he started covering his face with his woolen sheet, and when he felt short of breath, he removed it from his face and said, 'That is so! Allah's curse be on the Jews and the Christians, as they took the graves of their prophets as (places of worship),' intending to warn (the Muslims) of what they had done."  

أَنَّ عَائِشَةَ وَعَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عَبَّاسٍ ؓ قَالاَ لَمَّا نَزَلَ بِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ طَفِقَ يَطْرَحُ خَمِيصَةً لَهُ عَلَى وَجْهِهِ فَإِذَا اغْتَمَّ كَشَفَهَا عَنْ وَجْهِهِ وَهْوَ كَذَلِكَ يَقُولُ لَعْنَةُ اللَّهِ عَلَى الْيَهُودِ وَالنَّصَارَى اتَّخَذُوا قُبُورَ أَنْبِيَائِهِمْ مَسَاجِدَ يُحَذِّرُ مَا صَنَعُوا  

When the disease of Messenger of Allah ﷺ got aggravated, he covered his face with a Khamisa, but when he became short of breath, he would remove it from his face and say, "It is like that! May Allah curse the Jews Christians because they took the graves of their prophets as places of worship." By that he warned his follower of imitating them, by doing that which they did.  

أَنَّ عَائِشَةَ وَعَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عَبَّاسٍ ؓ قَالاَ لَمَّا نَزَلَ بِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ طَفِقَ يَطْرَحُ خَمِيصَةً لَهُ عَلَى وَجْهِهِ فَإِذَا اغْتَمَّ كَشَفَهَا عَنْ وَجْهِهِ فَقَالَ وَهْوَ كَذَلِكَ لَعْنَةُ اللَّهِ عَلَى الْيَهُودِ وَالنَّصَارَى اتَّخَذُوا قُبُورَ أَنْبِيَائِهِمْ مَسَاجِدَ يُحَذِّرُ مَا صَنَعُوا  

As the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was about to breathe his last, he drew his sheet upon his face and when he felt uneasy, he uncovered his face and said in that very state: Let there be curse upon the Jews and the Christians that they have taken the graves of their apostles as places of worship. He in fact warned (his men) against what they (the Jews and the Christians) did.  

أَنَّ عَائِشَةَ وَعَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عَبَّاسٍ قَالاَ لَمَّا نَزَلَتْ بِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ طَفِقَ يَطْرَحُ خَمِيصَةً لَهُ عَلَى وَجْهِهِ فَإِذَا اغْتَمَّ كَشَفَهَا عَنْ وَجْهِهِ فَقَالَ وَهُوَ كَذَلِكَ لَعْنَةُ اللَّهِ عَلَى الْيَهُودِ وَالنَّصَارَى اتَّخَذُوا قُبُورَ أَنْبِيَائِهِمْ مَسَاجِدَ يُحَذِّرُ مِثْلَ مَا صَنَعُوا  

"When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was on his deathbed, he had a Khamisah over his face. When his temperature rose, he would uncover his face. When his temperature rose, he would uncover his face. While he was like that he said: 'May Allah curse the Jews and Christians, for they took the graves of their Prophets as places of worship.'"  

أَنَّ عَائِشَةَ وَابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ قَالاَ لَمَّا نُزِلَ بِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَطَفِقَ يَطْرَحُ خَمِيصَةً لَهُ عَلَى وَجْهِهِ فَإِذَا اغْتَمَّ كَشَفَهَا عَنْ وَجْهِهِ قَالَ وَهُوَ كَذَلِكَ لَعْنَةُ اللَّهِ عَلَى الْيَهُودِ وَالنَّصَارَى اتَّخَذُوا قُبُورَ أَنْبِيَائِهِمْ مَسَاجِدَ  

[Machine] "And Aisha narrated that when the Messenger of Allah ﷺ became ill, he would toss and turn and spread a cloth over his face. So when it became dark, we would remove it from him, and he would say, 'May Allah curse the Jews and Christians, for they have taken the graves of their prophets as places of worship.' Aisha said, 'He warned them against what they had done.'"  

وَعَنْ عَائِشَةَ أَنَّهُمَا قَالا لَمَّا نُزِلَ بِرَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ طَفِقَ يُلْقِي خَمِيصَةً عَلَى وَجْهِهِ فَلَمَّا اغْتَمَّ رَفَعْنَاهَا عَنْهُ وَهُوَ يَقُولُ لَعَنَ اللهُ الْيَهُودَ وَالنَّصَارَى اتَّخَذُوا قُبُورَ أَنْبِيَائِهِمْ مَسَاجِدَ تَقُولُ عَائِشَةُ يُحَذِّرُهُمْ مِثْلَ الَّذِي صَنَعُوا  

[Machine] "And Aisha narrated that when the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was lying down, he would throw his garment over his face. And when it became darker, we would remove it from him while he would be saying, 'May Allah curse the Jews and Christians, for they have taken the graves of their Prophets as places of worship.' Aisha would say, 'He warned against what they had done.'"  

وَعَنْ عَائِشَةَ أَنَّهُمَا قَالَا لَمَّا نَزَلَ بِرَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ طَفِقَ يُلْقِي خَمِيصَتَهُ عَلَى وَجْهِهِ فَإِذَا اغْتَمَّ رَفَعْنَاهَا عَنْهُ وَهُوَ يَقُولُ لَعَنَ اللهُ الْيَهُودَ وَالنَّصَارَى اتَّخَذُوا قُبُورَ أَنْبِيَائِهِمْ مَسَاجِدَ تَقُولُ عَائِشَةُ يُحَذِّرُ مِثْلَ الَّذِي صَنَعُوا  

"When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was on his deathbed, he had a Khamisah over his face. When his temperature rose, he would uncover his face. When his temperature rose, he would uncover his face. أَنَّ عَائِشَةَ وَعَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَا لَمَّا نُزِلَ بِرَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ طَفِقَ يُلْقِي خَمِيصَةً عَلَى وَجْهِهِ فَإِذَا اغْتَمَّ كَشَفَهَا عَنْ وَجْهِهِ قَالَ وَهُوَ كَذَلِكَ لَعْنَةُ اللهِ عَلَى الْيَهُودِ وَالنَّصَارَى اتَّخَذُوا قُبُورَ أَنْبِيَائِهِمْ مَسَاجِدَ يُحَذِّرُهُمْ مِثْلَ مَا صَنَعُوا  

[Machine] "When the Prophet ﷺ descended upon it, he would throw a cloak over his face. When he becomes angry, he uncovers it from his face and says, 'May the curse of Allah be upon the Jews and Christians who have taken the graves of their prophets as places of worship.' Aisha said, 'He warns against doing the same as they have done.'"  

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ حِينَ نَزَلَ بِهِ جَعَلَ يُلْقِي خَمِيصَةً لَهُ عَلَى وَجْهِهِ فَإِذَا اغْتَمَّ كَشَفَهَا عَنْ وَجْهِهِ وَهُوَيَقُولُ لَعْنَةُ اللهِ عَلَى الْيَهُودِ وَالنَّصَارَى اتَّخَذُوا قُبُورَ أَنْبِيَائِهِمْ مَسَاجِدَ قَالَ تَقُولُ عَائِشَةُ يُحَذِّرُ مِثْلَ الَّذِي صَنَعُوا  

[Machine] "When the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , was approaching death, he would lay a corner of his cloak on his face. And when it dimmed (became dark) he would remove it from his face and say, 'May the curse of Allah be upon the Jews and Christians for they have taken the graves of their prophets as places of worship.'"  

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ لَمَّا حَضَرَتْهُ الْوَفَاةُ جَعَلَ يُلْقِي عَلَى وَجْهِهِ طَرَفَ خَمِيصَةٍ فَإِذَا اغْتَمَّ بِهَا كَشَفَهَا عَنْ وَجْهِهِ وَهُوَ يَقُولُ «لَعْنَةُ اللَّهِ عَلَى الْيَهُودِ وَالنَّصَارَى اتَّخَذُوا قُبُورَ أَنْبِيَائِهِمْ مَسَاجِدَ»

[Machine] When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ came down, he found a cloth covering his face, so he removed it from his face and said, "May the curse of Allah be upon the Jews and Christians for they have taken the graves of their prophets as places of worship." He warned them against doing the same.  

لَمَّا نَزَلَ بِرَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ طَفِقَ يُلْقِي خَمِيصَةً عَلَى وَجْهِهِ فَإِذَا اغْتَمَّ كَشَفَهَا عَنْ وَجْهِهِ فَقَالَ وَهُوَ كَذَلِكَ «لَعْنَةُ اللهِ عَلَى الْيَهُودِ وَالنَّصَارَى اتَّخَذُوا قُبُورَ أَنْبِيَائِهِمْ مَسَاجِدَ» يُحَذِّرُهُمْ مِثْلَ مَا صَنَعُوا  

[Machine] When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ came down, he woke up and threw a garment on his face. When he became alert, he uncovered his face and said, while doing so: "May Allah curse the Jews and Christians; they took the graves of their prophets as mosques." He warned his nation against what they did. This hadith was narrated by Al-Zuhri from Sa'id bin Al-Musayyib from Abu Hurayrah.  

أَنَّهُ لَمَّا نَزَلَ بِرَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ طَفِقَ يَطْرَحُ خَمِيصَةً عَلَى وَجْهِهِ فَإِذَا اغْتَمَّ كَشَفَهَا عَنْ وَجْهِهِ فَقَالَ وَهُوَ يَفْعَلُ ذَلِكَ «لَعْنَةُ اللهِ عَلَى الْيَهُودِ وَالنَّصَارَى اتَّخَذُوا قُبُورَ أَنْبِيَائِهِمْ مَسَاجِدَ» حَذَرًا عَلَى أُمَّتِهِ مَا صَنَعُوا وَقَدْ رَوَى هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ الزُّهْرِيُّ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ

وَعَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ عَبَّاسٍ ؓ قَالَا لَمَّا نَزَلَ بِرَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ طَفِقَ يَطْرَحُ خَمِيصَةً لَهُ عَلَى وَجْهِهِ فَإِذَا اغْتَمَّ بِهَا كَشَفَهَا عَنْ وَجْهِهِ ثُمَّ قَالَ وَهُوَ كَذَلِكَ لَعْنَةُ اللهِ عَلَى الْيَهُودِ وَالنَّصَارَى اتَّخَذُوا قُبُورَ أَنْبِيَائِهِمْ مَسَاجِدَ يُحَذِّرُ مِثْلَ مَا صَنَعُوا  

"عَنْ عَبْدِ الله بْنِ عَبْدِ الله قَالَ: أَخْبَرَتْنِى عَائِشَةُ وَابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ أَنَّ رَسُولَ الله

ﷺ لَمَّا حَضَرَتْهُ الْوَفَاةُ جَعَلَ يُلقِى عَلَى وَجْهِهِ طَرَفَ خَمِيصَة (*) لَهُ فَإِذَا اغْتَمَّ بِهَا كشَفَهَا عَنْ وَجْهِهِ وَهُوَ يَقُولُ: لَعْنَةُ الله عَلَى الْيَهُودِ وَالنَّصَارَى اتَّخَذُوا قُبُورَ أَنْبِيَائِهِمْ مَسَاجِدَ، قَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ: يُحَذِّرُ مثْلَ الَّذى فَعَلُوا".
