I have a daughter who has been newly wedded. She had an attack of smallpox and thus her hair had fallen; should I add false hair to her head? Thereupon Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Allah has cursed the woman who adds some false hair and the woman who asks for it.

جَاءَتِ امْرَأَةٌ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَقَالَتْ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّ لِي ابْنَةً عُرَيِّسًا أَصَابَتْهَا حَصْبَةٌ فَتَمَرَّقَ شَعْرُهَا أَفَأَصِلُهُ فَقَالَ لَعَنَ اللَّهُ الْوَاصِلَةَ وَالْمُسْتَوْصِلَةَ

"A woman came to the Prophet and said:, My daughter is going to get married, and she had the measles and her hair has fallen out. Can I put extensions in her hair?, The Messenger of Allah said: ‘Allah has cursed the one who does hair extensions and the one who has that done.'"

جَاءَتِ امْرَأَةٌ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَقَالَتْ إِنَّ ابْنَتِي عُرَيِّسٌ وَقَدْ أَصَابَتْهَا الْحَصْبَةُ فَتَمَرَّقَ شَعْرُهَا فَأَصِلُ لَهَا فِيهِ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ لَعَنَ اللَّهُ الْوَاصِلَةَ وَالْمُسْتَوْصِلَةَ

"A woman came to the Prophet and said:, My daughter is going to get married, and she had the measles and her hair has fallen out. Can I put extensions in her hair?, The Messenger of Allah said: ‘Allah has cursed the one who does hair extensions and the one who has that done.'" (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 1988)

أَتَتِ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ امْرَأَةٌ فَقَالَتْ يَا رَسُولَاللهِ إِنَّ لِي ابْنَةً عَرِيسًا وَإِنَّهُ أَصَابَتْهَا حَصْبَةٌ فَتَمَرَّقَ شَعْرُهَا أَفَأَصِلُهُ؟ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لَعَنَ اللهُ الْوَاصِلَةَ وَالْمُسْتَوْصِلَةَ

[Machine] My daughter, a bride, fell ill and her hair became thin. Should I add extensions to it? She said: "May the Messenger of Allah ﷺ curse those who add hair extensions and those who get them added."

إِنَّ ابْنَتِي عَرُوسٌ مَرِضَتْ فَتَمَرَّقَ شَعَرُهَا أَفَأَصِلُ فِيهِ؟ فَقَالَتْ لَعَنَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ الْوَاصِلَةَ وَالْمُسْتَوْصِلَةَ أَوْ قَالَتْ الْوَاصِلَةَ

[Machine] "A woman approached the Prophet ﷺ and said, 'I have a daughter who is about to get married, but she is sick, and her hair is falling out. Should I cut it off?' The Prophet ﷺ said, 'May Allah curse those who practice hair extensions and those who have them done.'"

أَنَّ امْرَأَةً أَتَتِ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَقَالَتْ إِنَّ لِي ابْنَةً عَرُوسًا وَإِنَّهَا مَرِضَتْ فَتَمَرَّقَ شَعَرُهَا أَفَأَصِلُهُ؟ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ لَعَنَ اللهُ الْوَاصِلَةَ وَالْمُسْتَوْصِلَةَ

[Machine] A woman came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, "O Messenger of Allah, my daughter is a bride and she has been afflicted with this sore, causing her hair to fall out. Should I cut her hair short for her?" The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "May Allah curse the one who does hair extensions and the one who has it done."

جَاءَتِ امْرَأَةٌ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَقَالَتْ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنَّ ابْنَتِي عَرُوسٌ وَقَدْ أَصَابَتْهَا هَذِهِ الْقُرْحَةُ فَتَمَزَّقَ شَعْرُهَا أَفَأَصِلُ لَهَا قَصَّةً؟ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «لَعَنَ اللهُ الْوَاصِلَةَ وَالْمُسْتَوْصِلَةَ»

[Machine] A woman came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, "O Prophet of Allah, my daughter is a newlywed and she has caught the measles, causing her hair to fall out. Should I tie up her hair?" He said, "May Allah curse those who tie up hair extensions and those who have their hair extensions tied."

أَنَّ امْرَأَةً أَتَتِ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَقَالَتْ يَا نَبِيَّ اللهِ إِنَّ ابْنَتِي عَرُوسٌ وَقَدْ أَخَذَتْهَا الْحَصْبَةُ فَتَسَاقَطَ شَعْرُهَا أَفَأَصِلُهَا؟ فَقَالَ «لَعَنَ اللهُ الْوَاصِلَةَ وَالْمُسْتَوْصِلَةَ»

[Machine] A woman asked the Prophet, ﷺ , saying, "O Messenger of Allah, I married a man and she was afflicted with smallpox, so her hair fell out. We want to bring her to her husband." The Prophet, ﷺ , replied, "May Allah curse the one who tattoos and the one who has a tattoo done."

أَنَّ امْرَأَةً سَأَلَتِ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَقَالَتْ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ ابْنَةٌ لِي زَوَّجْتُهَا فَأَصَابَتْهَا الْحَصْبَةُ فَمَرَقَ شَعْرُهَا وَنَحْنُ نُرِيدُ أَنْ نُدْخِلَهَا عَلَى زَوْجِهَا فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «لَعَنَ اللهُ الْوَاصِلَةَ وَالْمُسْتَوْصِلَةَ»
