Once the Prophet ﷺ embraced me (pressed me to his chest) and said, "O Allah, teach him wisdom (i.e. the understanding of the knowledge of Qur'an).

"The Messenger of Allah ﷺ pulled me close to him and said: 'O Allah, teach him Al-Hikmah (wisdom)."  

الترمذي:٣٨٢٤ – حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ قَال حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ الثَّقَفِيُّ قَال أَخْبَرَنَا خَالِدٌ الْحَذَّاءُ عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ

ضَمَّنِي إِلَيْهِ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ وَقَالَ اللَّهُمَّ عَلِّمْهُ الْحِكْمَةَ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ  

ibnmajah:166 – Muḥammad b. al-Muthanná And ʾAbū Bakr b. Khalāad al-Bāhilī > ʿAbd al-Wahhāb > Khālid al-Ḥadhhāʾ > ʿIkrimah > Ibn ʿAbbās

ذِكْرُ دُعَاءِ الْمُصْطَفَى ﷺ لِابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ بِالْحِكْمَةِ

ibnhibban:7054 – Shabāb b. Ṣāliḥ > Wahbb. Baqiyyah > Khālid > Khālid > ʿIkrimah > Ibn ʿAbbās

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ guaranteed me and said, "O Allah, teach him wisdom."
