A man asked the Prophet ﷺ : "What (kinds of clothes) should a Muhrim (a Muslim intending to perform ʿUmra or Hajj) wear? He replied, "He should not wear a shirt, a turban, trousers, a head cloak or garment scented with saffron or Wars (kinds of perfumes). And if he has no slippers, then he can use Khuffs (socks made from thick fabric or leather) but the socks should be cut short so as to make the ankles bare." (See Hadith No. 615, Vol. 2).

Messenger of Allah ﷺ was asked what sort of clothes a Muhrim should wear. He replied, "He should not wear a shirt, turbans, trousers, a hooded cloak, or a dress perfumed with saffron or Wars; and if slippers are not available he can wear Khuffs (socks made from thick fabric or leather) but he should cut them so that they reach below the ankles.

A man got up and said, O Messenger of Allah ﷺ! What do you order us to wear when we assume the state of Ihram?" The Prophet ﷺ said, "A Muhrim should not wear a shirt, a turban, trousers, hooded cloaks, a garment touched with (perfumes) of saffron or wars, or Khuffs (socks made from thick fabric or leather) except if one has no sandals in which case he should cut short the Khuffs below the ankles."

Do not put on a shirt or a turban, or trousers or a cap, or leather stockings except one who does not find shoes; he may put on stockings but he should trim them below the ankles. And do not wear clothes to which saffron or wars is applied.

A Muhrim should not wear a shirt, or a turban, or a cap, or trousers, or a cloth touched with wars or with saffron, nor (should he wear) stockings, but in case he does not find shoes, but (before wearing stockings) be should trim them (in such a way) that these should become lower than the ankles.

"The Messenger of Allah was asked what clothes the Muhrim may wear. He said: 'He should not wear a shirt, or a burnous, or pants, or an 'Imamah (turban, or any garment that has been touched by (dyed with) Wars or saffron, or Khuffs except for one who cannot find sandals. If he cannot find sandals, then let him cut them until they come lower than the ankles, (sahih)

‘Abd Allaah bin Umar said A man asked the Apostle of Allaah ﷺ What clothing one should put on if one intend to put on ihram? He said He should not wear shirts, turbans, trousers, garments with head coverings and clothing which has any dye of waras or saffron; one should not put on shoes unless one cannot get sandals. If one cannot get sandals, one should wear the shoes, in which case one must cut them to come below the ankles.  

أبو داود:١٨٢٣حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ وَأَحْمَدُ بْنُ حَنْبَلٍ قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ سَالِمٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ

He said: 'He should not wear a shirt, or a burnous, or pants, or an 'Imamah (turban, or any garment that has been touched by (dyed with) Wars or saffron, or Khuffs except for one who cannot find sandals. If he cannot find sandals, then let him cut them until they come lower than the ankles, (sahih) (Using translation from Nasāʾī 2667)

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The one in a state of Ihram should not wear the brunus, the qamees, the imamah, the sarawil, or the khuffain, except if he is compelled to, then he may cut it from the area between the ankles. He should not wear a garment that is scented with waras or za'faran, except if it is washed."

‘Abd Allaah bin Umar said A man asked the Apostle of Allaah ﷺ What clothing one should put on if one intend to put on ihram? He said He should not wear shirts, turbans, trousers, garments with head coverings and clothing which has any dye of waras or saffron; one should not put on shoes unless one cannot get sandals. If one cannot get sandals, one should wear the shoes, in which case one must cut them to come below the ankles. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 1823)

[Machine] A man stood up to the Prophet ﷺ and said, "O Messenger of Allah, what clothing is prohibited for the pilgrim to wear?" The pilgrim should not wear shoes unless he cannot find two sandals, in which case he cuts them below the ankles with their meaning."
