There is none whose deeds alone would entitle him to get into Paradise. It was said to him: And, Messenger of Allah, not even you? Thereupon he said: Not even I, but that my Lord wraps me in Mercy.

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ مَا مِنْ أَحَدٍ يُدْخِلُهُ عَمَلُهُ الْجَنَّةَ فَقِيلَ وَلاَ أَنْتَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ قَالَ وَلاَ أَنَا إِلاَّ أَنْ يَتَغَمَّدَنِي رَبِّي بِرَحْمَةٍ

There is none whose deeds alone can'secure salvation for him. They said: Messenger of Allah, not even you? Thereupon he said: Not even I, but that, the Mercy of Allah should take hold of me.

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ لَيْسَ أَحَدٌ يُنْجِيهِ عَمَلُهُ قَالُوا وَلاَ أَنْتَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ قَالَ وَلاَ أَنَا إِلاَّ أَنْ يَتَدَارَكَنِيَ اللَّهُ مِنْهُ بِرَحْمَةٍ

None amongst you can get. into Paradise by virtue of his deeds alone. They said: Messenger of Allah, not even you? Thereupon he said: Not even I, but that Allah should wrap me in His Grace and Mercy.

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ لَنْ يُدْخِلَ أَحَدًا مِنْكُمْ عَمَلُهُ الْجَنَّةَ قَالُوا وَلاَ أَنْتَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ قَالَ وَلاَ أَنَا إِلاَّ أَنْ يَتَغَمَّدَنِيَ اللَّهُ مِنْهُ بِفَضْلٍ وَرَحْمَةٍ

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “Be upright and do your best to be close to what is right, and receive glad tidings, for no one’s deeds alone will admit him into Paradise.” They said, “Not even you, O Messenger of Allah?” He said: “Not even me, unless Allah envelops me in mercy from Him. And know that the most beloved deeds to Allah are those that are done consistently, even if they are few.”

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ: «سَدِّدُوا وَقَارِبُوا وَأَبْشِرُوا، فَإِنَّهُ لَنْ يُدْخِلَ الْجَنَّةَ أَحَدًا عَمَلُهُ۔» قَالُوا: وَلاَ أَنْتَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ؟ قَالَ: «وَلاَ أَنَا، إِلاَّ أَنْ يَتَغَمَّدَنِيَ اللَّهُ مِنْهُ بِرَحْمَةٍ۔ وَاعْلَمُوا أَنَّ أَحَبَّ الْعَمَلِ إِلَى اللَّهِ أَدْوَمُهُ وَإِنْ قَلَّ۔»

“Be moderate and adhere to moderation, for there is no one among you who will be saved by his deeds.” They said: “Not even you, O Messenger of Allah?” He said: “Not even me. Unless Allah encompasses me with mercy and grace from Him.”

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَارِبُوا وَسَدِّدُوا فَإِنَّهُ لَيْسَ أَحَدٌ مِنْكُمْ بِمُنْجِيهِ عَمَلُهُ قَالُوا وَلاَ أَنْتَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ قَالَ وَلاَ أَنَا إِلاَّ أَنْ يَتَغَمَّدَنِيَ اللَّهُ بِرَحْمَةٍ مِنْهُ وَفَضْلٍ

None amongst you can get. into Paradise by virtue of his deeds alone. They said: Messenger of Allah, not even you? Thereupon he said: Not even I, but that Allah should wrap me in His Grace and Mercy. (Using translation from Muslim 2816f)

وَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لَيْسَ وَاحِدٌ مِنْكُمْ بِمُنْجِيهِ عَمَلُهُ وَلَكِنْ سَدِّدُوا وَقَارِبُوا قَالُوا وَلَا أَنْتَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ؟ قَالَ وَلَا أَنَا إِلَّا أَنْ يَتَغَمَّدَنِي اللهُ مِنْهُ بِرَحْمَةٍ وَفَضْلٍ

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "None of you will enter Paradise solely by their deeds, nor will their deeds save them from the Fire." It was asked, "Not even you, O Messenger of Allah?" He replied, "Not even me, unless my Lord envelops me in His mercy." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said while indicating with his hand, "Like this," and then he closed his hand and opened it again.

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مَا مِنْكُمْ أَحَدٌ يُدْخِلُهُ عَمَلُهُ الْجَنَّةَ وَلَا يُنَجِّيهِ مِنَ النَّارِ قِيلَ وَلَا أَنْتَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ؟ قَالَ وَلَا أَنَا إِلَّا أَنْ يَتَغَمَّدَنِي رَبِّي بِرَحْمَةٍ مِنْهُ وَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ بِيَدِهِ هَكَذَا وَأَشَارَ وَهْبٌ يَقْبِضُهَا وَيَبْسُطُهَا

[Machine] I heard Abu Al-Qasim ﷺ saying, "By the One in whose hand is my soul, there is none among you but that his deeds will admit him into Paradise." They said, "Not even you, O Messenger of Allah?" He said, "Not even me, unless Allah envelops me in His mercy and grace and places His hand on my head."

سَمِعْتُ أَبَا الْقَاسِمِ ﷺ يَقُولُ وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ إِنْ مِنْكُمْ مِنْ أَحَدٍ يُدْخِلُهُ عَمَلُهُ الْجَنَّةَ قَالُوا وَلَا أَنْتَ؟ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ قَالَ وَلَا أَنَا إِلَّا أَنْ يَتَغَمَّدَنِي اللهُ بِرَحْمَةٍ مِنْهُ وَفَضْلٍ وَوَضَعَ يَدَهُ عَلَى رَأْسِهِ

سَمِعْتُ أَبَا الْقَاسِمِ ﷺ يَقُولُ مَا مِنْكُمْ مِنْ أَحَدٍ يُدْخِلُهُ عَمَلُهُ الْجَنَّةَ؟ قَالُوا وَلَا أَنْتَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ؟قَالَ وَلَا أَنَا إِلَّا أَنْ يَتَغَمَّدَنِي اللهُ بِرَحْمَةٍ مِنْهُ قَالَ بَهْزٌ وَفَضْلٌ وَوَضَعَ يَدَهُ عَلَى رَأْسِهِ

Observe moderation in deeds (and if it is not possible, try to be near moderation) and understand that none amongst you can attain salvation because of his deeds alone. They said: Messenger of Allah, not even you? Thereupon he said: Not even I, but that Allah should wrap me in His Mercy and Grace. (Using translation from Muslim 2816g)

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ أَنَّهُ قَالَ لَنْ يُنْجِيَأَحَدًا مِنْكُمْ عَمَلُهُ فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ وَلَا أَنْتَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ؟ فَقَالَ وَلَا أَنَا إِلَّا أَنْ يَتَغَمَّدَنِي اللهُ بِرَحْمَتِهِ وَلَكِنْ سَدِّدُوا

Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The deeds of anyone of you will not save you (from the (Hell) Fire)." They said, "Even you (will not be saved by your deeds), O Messenger of Allah ﷺ?" He said, "No, even I (will not be saved) unless and until Allah bestows His Mercy on me. Therefore, do good deeds properly, sincerely and moderately, and worship Allah in the forenoon and in the afternoon and during a part of the night, and always adopt a middle, moderate, regular course whereby you will reach your target (Paradise). (Using translation from Bukhārī 6463)

He said, "No, even I (will not be saved) unless and until Allah bestows His Mercy on me. [Machine] "He heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, 'None of you shall enter Paradise based solely on his deeds, nor will his deeds alone save him from the Fire.' It was asked, 'Not even you, O Messenger of Allah?' He ﷺ replied, 'Not even me, unless Allah showers me with His mercy.'"

أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ لَا يُدْخِلُ أَحَدَكُمُ الْجَنَّةَ عَمَلُهُ وَلَا يُنَجِّيهِ عَمَلُهُ مِنَ النَّارِ قِيلَ وَلَا أَنْتَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ؟ قَالَ وَلَا أَنَا إِلَّا بِرَحْمَةِ اللهِ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ قَارِبُوا وَسَدِّدُوا فَإِنَّهُ لَيْسَ أَحَدٌ مِنْكُمْ يُنَجِّيهِ عَمَلُهُ قَالَوا وَلَا إِيَّاكَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ؟ قَالَ وَلَا إِيَّايَ إِلَّا أَنْ يَتَغَمَّدَنِي اللهُ بِرَحْمَتِهِ

[Machine] Narrated Aisha, the wife of the Prophet (PBUH), she used to say: "The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, 'Be steadfast, approach (good deeds), and give glad tidings. For nobody shall enter Paradise due to their deeds alone.'" They said, "Not even you, O Messenger of Allah?" He replied, "Not even me, unless Allah envelops me in His mercy. And know that the most beloved deed to Allah is the one that is done consistently, even if it is small."

عَنْ عَائِشَةَ زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّهَا كَانَتْ تَقُولُ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ سَدِّدُوا وَقَارِبُوا وَأَبْشِرُوا فَإِنَّهُ لَنْ يُدْخِلَ الْجَنَّةَ أَحَدًاعَمَلُهُ قَالُوا وَلَا أَنْتَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ؟ قَالَ وَلَا أَنَا إِلَّا أَنْ يَتَغَمَّدَنِي اللهُ ﷻ مِنْهُ بِرَحْمَةٍ وَاعْلَمُوا أَنَّ أَحَبَّ الْعَمَلِ إِلَى اللهِ ﷻ أَدْوَمُهُ وَإِنْ قَلَّ

وَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «لَيْسَ أَحَدٌ مِنْكُمْ يُنْجِيهِ عَمَلُهُ وَلَكِنْ سَدِّدُوا وَقَارِبُوا» قَالُوا وَلَا أَنْتَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ؟ قَالَ «وَلَا أَنَا إِلَّا أَنْ يَتَغَمَّدَنِي بِمَغْفِرَةٍ وَفَضْلٍ» *

None amongst you can get. into Paradise by virtue of his deeds alone. They said: Messenger of Allah, not even you? Thereupon he said: Not even I, but that Allah should wrap me in His Grace and Mercy. (Using translation from Muslim 2816f)

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said, "None of you will enter Paradise by his deeds alone." They said, "Not even you, O Messenger of Allah?" He said, "Not even me, unless Allah envelops me in His mercy."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «لَا يَدْخُلُ الْجَنَّةَ أَحَدٌ مِنْكُمْ بِعَمَلٍ» قَالُوا وَلَا أَنْتَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ؟ قَالَ «وَلَا أَنَا إِلَّا يَتَغَمَّدَنِيَ اللهُ بِرَحْمَةٍ»

There is none whose deeds alone would entitle him to get into Paradise. It was said to him: And, Messenger of Allah, not even you? Thereupon he said: Not even I, but that my Lord wraps me in Mercy. (Using translation from Muslim 2816c)

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «مَا مِنْكُمْ مِنْ أَحَدٍ يُدْخِلُهُ عَمَلُهُ الْجَنَّةَ» قَالُوا وَلَا أَنْتَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ؟ قَالَ «وَلَا أَنَا إِلَّا يَتَغَمَّدَنِي اللهُ مِنْهُ بِرَحْمَةٍ»

[Machine] I heard the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , saying, "No one will enter Paradise by their deeds alone." We asked, "Not even you, O Messenger of Allah?" He said, "No, not even me unless Allah, may He be glorified and exalted, bestows His mercy upon me." And he placed his hand on his head.

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «مَا مِنْ أَحَدٍ يَدْخُلُ الْجَنَّةَ بِعَمَلٍ» قُلْنَا وَلَا أَنْتَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ؟ قَالَ «لَا وَلَا أَنَا إِلَّا أَنْ يَتَغَمَّدَنِي اللهُ ﷻ بِرَحْمَةٍ مِنْهُ» وَوَضَعَ يَدَهُ عَلَى رَأْسِهِ

[Machine] To me, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "O Asad ibn Kurz, you will not enter Paradise by your deeds, but by the mercy of Allah." I said, "And not even you, O Messenger of Allah?" He said, "Not even me, unless Allah encompasses me with His mercy or envelops me with His mercy."

لِي رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «يَا أَسَدُ بْنَ كُرْزٍ لَا تَدْخُلُ الْجَنَّةَ بِعَمَلٍ وَلَكِنْ بِرَحْمَةِ اللهِ» قُلْتُ وَلَا أَنْتَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ؟ قَالَ «وَلَا أَنَا إِلَّا أَنْ يَتَلَافَانِي اللهُ أَوْ يَتَغَمَّدَنِي اللهُ مِنْهُ بِرَحْمَةٍ»

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "None of you will be saved by his actions alone." They said, "Not even you, O Messenger of Allah?" He said, "Not even me, unless Allah covers me with His mercy. So strive, draw near, and seek closeness. And in the morning and evening, walk and take measured steps. Aim for your goal and you will reach it."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مَا مِنْكُمْ أَحَدٌ يُنَجِّيهِ عَمَلُهُ قَالُوا وَلَا أَنْتَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ؟ قَالَ وَلَا أَنَا إِلَّا أَنْ يَتَغَمَّدَنِي اللهُ مِنْهُ بِرَحْمَةٍ سَدِّدُوا وَقَارِبُوا أَوْ قَرِّبُوا وَرُوحُوا وَاغْدُوا وَخُطًى مِنَ الدُّلْجَةِ وَالْقَصْدَ الْقَصْدَ تَبْلُغُوا

Abu Hurayra reported that the Prophet ﷺ said, "None of you will be saved by his actions?" "Not even you, Messenger of Allah?" they asked. "Not even me," he replied, "unless Allah covers me with mercy from Him. But act correctly and wisely and worship in the morning and evening and during part of the night. Keep to a middle path and you will arrive."

قَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ لَنْ يُنَجِّي أَحَدًا مِنْكُمْ عَمَلٌ قَالُوا وَلاَ أَنْتَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ قَالَ وَلاَ أَنَا إِلاَّ أَنْ يَتَغَمَّدَنِي اللَّهُ مِنْهُ بِرَحْمَةٍ فَسَدِّدُوا وَقَارِبُوا وَاغْدُوا وَرُوحُوا وَشَيْءٌ مِنَ الدُّلْجَةِ وَالْقَصْدَ الْقَصْدَ تَبْلُغُوا

Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The deeds of anyone of you will not save you (from the (Hell) Fire)." They said, "Even you (will not be saved by your deeds), O Messenger of Allah ﷺ?" He said, "No, even I (will not be saved) unless and until Allah bestows His Mercy on me. Therefore, do good deeds properly, sincerely and moderately, and worship Allah in the forenoon and in the afternoon and during a part of the night, and always adopt a middle, moderate, regular course whereby you will reach your target (Paradise). قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «إِنَّ أَحَدًا مِنْكُمْ لَا يُنْجِيهُ عَمَلُهُ» قَالُوا وَلَا أَنْتَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ؟ قَالَ «وَلَا أَنَا إِلَّا أَنْ يَتَغَمَّدَنِي اللَّهُ بِرَحْمَتِهِ وَلَكِنْ اغْدُوا وَرُوحُوا وَشَيْئًا مِنَ الدُّلْجَةِ الْقَصْدَ الْقَصْدَ تَبْلُغُونَ»

"مَا مِنْكُمْ مِنْ أَحَدٍ يُدْخِلُهُ عَمَلُهُ الجَنَّةَ، قِيلَ: وَلَا أَنْتَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ؟ قَال: وَلَا أَنَا إلا أَنْ يَتَغَمَّدنى اللهُ منْهُ برَحْمَةٍ".

"مَا مِنْكُمْ مِنْ أَحَدٍ يُنْجيهِ عَمَلُهُ، قِيلَ: وَلَا أَنْتَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ؟ قَال: وَلَا أَنَا إلا أَنْ يَتَغَمَّدَنِى اللهُ برَحْمَتِهِ، وَلَكِنْ سَدِّدُوا".

"مَا مِنْكُمْ مِنْ أَحدٍ إلا وَلَهُ شَيطَانٌ، قَالُوا: وَلَك يا رَسُولَ الله؟ ، قال: وَلِى، وَلَكِنَّ اللهَ أَعَانَنِى فأَسْلَمَ، وَما مِنْكُمْ منْ أَحَدٍ يُدْخِلُهُ عَملُه الْجَنَّة، قَالُوا: وَلَا أنْتَ يا رَسُولَ اللهِ؟ قال: ولا أَنَا إلا أَنْ يَتَغَمَّدَنِى رَبِّى بِرَحْمَتِهِ".

"مَا مِنْ أَحَد يَدْخُلُ الْجَنَّةَ بِعَمَلِه، قَالُوا وَلا أَنْتَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ؟ قَال وَلا أَنَا إلا أنْ يَتَغَمَّدَنِي اللهُ بِرَحْمَة (*) منْه".

"لَنْ يُنجِّي أَحدًا مِنكُمْ عَمَلُهُ، قَالُوا: ولا أنْتَ؟ ، قال: ولا أَنا إِلَّا أنْ يَتَغَمَّدَنِى اللهُ بِرَحْمَتِهِ، وَلكِنْ سَدِّدُوا، وَقَارِبُوا، واغدوا، وَروحوا، وَشَئٌ مِنْ الدُّلجَةِ، والقَصْدَ القَصْدَ تَبَلُغُوا".

"لَنْ يَدْخلَ الجَنَّةَ أَحَدٌ مِنْكُمْ بِعَمَلٍ، قَالُوا: ولا أنْتَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ؟ ، قال: وَلَا أَنا إِلَّا أَنْ يَتَغَمَدَنِى مِنْهُ بِرَحْمَةٍ وَفضْلٍ".

"قَارِبُوا، وَسَدِّدُوا، وَأَبْشِرُوا، وَاعْلَمُوا أَنَّهُ لَنْ يَنْجُوَ أحَدٌ مِنْكُمْ بِعَمَلِهِ، قَالُوا: وَلَا أَنْتَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ؟ قَال: وَلَا أَنَا إِلَّا أَنْ يَتَغَمَّدَنِى اللهُ ﷻ برَحْمَةٍ مِنْهُ، وَفَضْلٍ".

"سَدِّدُوا وَقَاربُوا وَأَبْشِرُوا، وَاعْلَمُوا أنَّهُ لَنْ يُدْخِلَ أَحَدَكُمْ عَمَلُهُ الْجَنَّةَ، قَالُوا: وَلَا أَنْتَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ؟ قَالَ: وَلَا أَنَا إِلَّا أَنْ يتَغَمْدَنِى الله بِمَغْفِرَةٍ وَرَحْمَةٍ".

"سَدِّدُوا وَقَارِبُوا، وَلَا يُنْجى أَحَدًا مِنْكُمْ عَمَلُهُ، قَالُوا: وَلَا أَنْت يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ؟ قَالَ: وَلَا أنَا إِلَّا أنْ يَتَغمَّدَنِى اللهُ مِنْهُ برَحْمَة".

"عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ سَدِّدُوا وَقَارِبُوا وَبَشِّرُوا فَإِنَّ أَحَدَكُمْ لَنْ يُنْجِيَهُ عَمَلُهُ، قَالُوا: وَلَا أَنْتَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ؟ قَالَ: وَلَا أَنَا (إلا) أَنْ يَتَغَمَّدَنِي اللهُ بِرَحْمتِهِ".
