The Prophet ﷺ said, "Do not wish to be like anyone except in two cases. (The first is) A person, whom Allah has given wealth and he spends it righteously; (the second is) the one whom Allah has given wisdom (the Holy Qur'an) and he acts according to it and teaches it to others." (Fath-al-Bari page 177 Vol. 1)

قَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ لاَ حَسَدَ إِلاَّ فِي اثْنَتَيْنِ رَجُلٌ آتَاهُ اللَّهُ مَالاً فَسُلِّطَ عَلَى هَلَكَتِهِ فِي الْحَقِّ وَرَجُلٌ آتَاهُ اللَّهُ الْحِكْمَةَ فَهْوَ يَقْضِي بِهَا وَيُعَلِّمُهَا

Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Not to wish to be the like except of two men. A man whom Allah has given the knowledge of the Book and he recites it during the hours of the night, and a man whom Allah has given wealth, and he spends it in charity during the night and the hours of the day."

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ لاَ حَسَدَ إِلاَّ عَلَى اثْنَتَيْنِ رَجُلٌ آتَاهُ اللَّهُ الْكِتَابَ وَقَامَ بِهِ آنَاءَ اللَّيْلِ وَرَجُلٌ أَعْطَاهُ اللَّهُ مَالاً فَهْوَ يَتَصَدَّقُ بِهِ آنَاءَ اللَّيْلِ وَالنَّهَارِ

The Prophet ﷺ said, "Not to wish to be the like of except the like of two (persons): a man whom Allah has given the knowledge of the Qur'an and he recites it during the hours of the night and the hours of the day; and a man whom Allah has given wealth and he spends it (in Allah's Cause) during the hours of the night and during the hours of the day."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ لاَ حَسَدَ إِلاَّ فِي اثْنَتَيْنِ رَجُلٌ آتَاهُ اللَّهُ الْقُرْآنَ فَهْوَ يَتْلُوهُ آنَاءَ اللَّيْلِ وَآنَاءَ النَّهَارِ وَرَجُلٌ آتَاهُ اللَّهُ مَالاً فَهْوَ يُنْفِقُهُ آنَاءَ اللَّيْلِ وَآنَاءَ النَّهَارِ سَمِعْتُ سُفْيَانَ مِرَارًا لَمْ أَسْمَعْهُ يَذْكُرُ الْخَبَرَ وَهْوَ مِنْ صَحِيحِ حَدِيثِهِ

Envy is not justified but in case of two persons only: one who, having been given (knowledge of) the Qur'an by Allah, recites it during the night and day (and also acts upon it) and a man who, having been given wealth by God, spends it during the night and the day (for the welfare of others. seeking the pleasure of the Lord).

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ لاَ حَسَدَ إِلاَّ فِي اثْنَتَيْنِ رَجُلٌ آتَاهُ اللَّهُ الْقُرْآنَ فَهُوَ يَقُومُ بِهِ آنَاءَ اللَّيْلِ وَآنَاءَ النَّهَارِ وَرَجُلٌ آتَاهُ اللَّهُ مَالاً فَهُوَ يُنْفِقُهُ آنَاءَ اللَّيْلِ وَآنَاءَ النَّهَارِ

Envy is not justified but in case of two persons only: one who, having been given (knowledge of) the Qur'an by Allah, recites it during the night and during the day (and acts upon it), and the person who, having been given wealth by God, gives it in charity during the night and the day.

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ لاَ حَسَدَ إِلاَّ عَلَى اثْنَتَيْنِ رَجُلٌ آتَاهُ اللَّهُ هَذَا الْكِتَابَ فَقَامَ بِهِ آنَاءَ اللَّيْلِ وَآنَاءَ النَّهَارِ وَرَجُلٌ آتَاهُ اللَّهُ مَالاً فَتَصَدَّقَ بِهِ آنَاءَ اللَّيْلِ وَآنَاءَ النَّهَارِ

There should be no envy but only in case of two persons: one having been endowed with wealth and power to spend it in the cause of Truth, and (the other) who has been endowed with wisdom and he decides cases with the help of it and teaches it (to others).

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ لاَ حَسَدَ إِلاَّ فِي اثْنَتَيْنِ رَجُلٌ آتَاهُ اللَّهُ مَالاً فَسَلَّطَهُ عَلَى هَلَكَتِهِ فِي الْحَقِّ وَرَجُلٌ آتَاهُ اللَّهُ حِكْمَةً فَهُوَ يَقْضِي بِهَا وَيُعَلِّمُهَا

"There is to be no envy except for two: A man to whom Allah grants wealth and he spends from it during the hours of the night and the hours of the day. And a man to whom Allah grants (memorization of) the Quran so he stands with it (in prayer) during the hours of the night and the hours of the day."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ لاَ حَسَدَ إِلاَّ فِي اثْنَتَيْنِ رَجُلٌ آتَاهُ اللَّهُ مَالاً فَهُوَ يُنْفِقُ مِنْهُ آنَاءَ اللَّيْلِ وَآنَاءَ النَّهَارِ وَرَجُلٌ آتَاهُ اللَّهُ الْقُرْآنَ فَهُوَ يَقُومُ بِهِ آنَاءَ اللَّيْلِ وَآنَاءَ النَّهَارِ

“There is no (permissible) envy except in two cases: A man whom Allah has given wealth and caused him to dispose of it in a proper manner, and a man to whom Allah has given wisdom, and he acts in accordance with it and teaches it (to others).”

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ لاَ حَسَدَ إِلاَّ فِي اثْنَتَيْنِ رَجُلٌ آتَاهُ اللَّهُ مَالاً فَسَلَّطَهُ عَلَى هَلَكَتِهِ فِي الْحَقِّ وَرَجُلٌ آتَاهُ اللَّهُ حِكْمَةً فَهُوَ يَقْضِي بِهَا وَيُعَلِّمُهَا

[AI] From the Messenger of Allahﷺ that he said: "Indeed, envy is only felt towards the one who is envied, or as Allah wills that one may say about two qualities of a man: one to whom Allah the Almighty has given the Quran, and he recites it day and night, and a man to whom Allah has given wealth, and he spends it."

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ أَنَّهُ قَالَ إِنَّمَا يُحْسَدُ مَنْ يُحْسَدُ أَوْ كَمَا شَاءَ اللهُ أَنْ يَقُولَ عَلَى خَصْلَتَيْنِ رَجُلٌ أَعْطَاهُ اللهُ تَعَالَى الْقُرْآنَ فَهُوَ يَقُومُ بِهِ آنَاءَ اللَّيْلِ وَالنَّهَارِ وَرَجُلٌ أَعْطَاهُ اللهُ مَالًا فَهُوَ يُنْفِقُهُ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "There is no envy except in two cases: a man to whom Allah, the Almighty, has given this Book and he recites it day and night, and a man to whom Allah, the Almighty, has given wealth and he gives it in charity day and night."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ لَا حَسَدَ إِلَّا فِي اثْنَتَيْنِ رَجُلٌ آتَاهُ اللهُ تَعَالَى هَذَا الْكِتَابَ فَهُوَ يَقُومُ بِهِ آنَاءَ اللَّيْلِ وَآنَاءَ النَّهَارِ وَرَجُلٌ أَعْطَاهُ اللهُ تَعَالَى مَالًا فَتَصَدَّقَ بِهِ آنَاءَ اللَّيْلِ وَآنَاءَ النَّهَارِ

"إِنَّمَا يُحسَدُ من يُحْسَدُ على خصلتين: رجلٌ أتاه اللَّه القرآن فهو يقومُ به آناءَ الليلِ وآناءَ النهارِ، ورجلٌ آتاهُ اللَّه مالًا فهو ينفِقُهُ".

"لاَ حَسَدَ إِلَّا في اثْنَتَيْنِ: رَجُلٌ آتَاهُ الله الْقُرآنَ، فَهُوَ يَقُومُ بِهِ آنَاءَ اللَّيْلِ وآنَاءَ النَّهَارِ، وَرَجُلٌ آتَاهُ الله مَالًا فَهُوَ يُنْفِقُهُ آنَاءَ اللَّيْلِ وآنَاءَ النَّهَارِ".

"لاَ حَسدَ إِلَّا عَلَى اثْنَتَيْنِ: رَجُلٌ أَعْطَاهُ الله القُرْآنَ فَهُوَ يَقرَأُ بِهِ في اللَّيْلِ وَالنَّهَارِ، وَرَجُلٌ أَعْطَاهُ الله مَالًا فَأَنْفَقَهُ في سَبِيلِ الله".
