[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "No fruit should be cut in half nor should it be left in abundance." Yahya said: "The 'thamar' (fruit) refers to what is at the top of the palm tree, while 'al-kathar' (abundance) refers to the fruit that is still young and green."  

البيهقي:١٧٢٠٢أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْحَسَنِ الْمُقْرِئُ أنبأ الْحَسَنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ ثنا يُوسُفُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ ثنا أَبُو الرَّبِيعِ ثنا أَبُو شِهَابٍ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يَحْيَى بْنِ حَبَّانَ عَنْ رَافِعِ بْنِ خَدِيجٍ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لَا يُقْطَعُ فِي ثَمَرٍ وَلَا كَثَرٍ قَالَ يَحْيَى الثَّمَرُ مَا كَانَ فِي رُءُوسِ النَّخْلِ وَالْكَثَرُ الْوَدِيُّ وَالْجُمَّارُ

[Machine] I heard the Prophet ﷺ saying, "There should be no cutting in the fruit nor excess." He said this while referring to the fat of the date palm, and excess refers to the fibers in it.
