6. Two ʿĪd (Eid) Ṣalāhs
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ added virtue to a gathering. Ibn Abbas informed me that the virtue was told to him by the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, that he continued to stone the Jamrat al-Aqaba until Ibn Khashram threw his own stones.
[Machine] The Prophet, ﷺ , said, "The days of Tashreeq are days of eating, drinking, and remembering Allah."
[Machine] Umar used to perform the takbir (saying "Allahu Akbar") loudly in his tent in Mina. The people in the mosque would hear him and also perform the takbir, and then the people in the market would hear and also perform the takbir. This would continue until Mina would echo with one unified takbir. It is also mentioned about Ibn Umar that he used to perform the takbir in Mina during those days, after prayers, on his bed, in his cloak, and in all places he would go during those days.
[Machine] He used to perform the Takbeer (saying "Allahu akbar") starting from the Dhuhr prayer on the day of Sacrifice (Eid al-Adha) until the Fajr prayer on the last days of Tashreeq.
[Machine] He used to shorten the time between the Dhuhr prayer on the day of sacrifice and the Asr prayer during the last days of Tashreeq.
[Machine] "To make takbeer, I do not know the interpretation of the saying of Allah (SWT): 'And remember Allah during [specific] numbered days' (Surah Al-Baqarah 2:203) or His saying: 'So when you have finished your rites' (Surah Al-Baqarah 2:200).' The Shaykh said, and it was narrated by Abdul-Hameed ibn Abi Rabah from a man from the people of Sham, from Zaid ibn Thabit, that he used to make takbeer from the Dhuhr prayer on the day of sacrifice until the last days of Tashriq. Al-Waqidi also narrated it with his chains of narrators from Uthman, Ibn Umar, Zaid ibn Thabit, and Abu Sa'eed Al-Khudri, similar to what we have narrated from Ibn Umar and Atha ibn Abi Rabah that he said: 'Indeed, the Imams used to make takbeer during the Dhuhr prayer on the day of sacrifice, starting with takbeer like that until the last days of Tashriq.'"
