6. Two ʿĪd (Eid) Ṣalāhs
٦۔ كِتَابُ صَلَاةِ الْعِيدَيْنِ
[Machine] I was informed by a close relative of mine from the Ansar, who was a companion of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , that the sighting of the Shawwal crescent was obscured from us, so we began fasting. Then, a group arrived at the end of the day and testified before the Messenger of Allah ﷺ that they had seen the crescent the previous day. He commanded them to break their fast and to go out for their Eid the next day. This is an authentic narration and it has a similar meaning.
حَدَّثَنِي عُمُومَةٌ لِي مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ أُغْمِيَ عَلَيْنَا هِلَالُ شَوَّالٍ فَأَصْبَحْنَا صِيَامًا فَجَاءَ رَكْبٌ مِنْ آخِرِ النَّهَارِ فَشَهِدُوا عِنْدَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ أَنَّهُمْ رَأَوَا الْهِلَالَ بِالْأَمْسِ فَأَمَرَهُمْ أَنْ يُفْطِرُوا مَنْ يَوْمِهِمْ وَأَنْ يَخْرُجُوا لِعِيدِهِمْ مِنَ الْغَدِ هَذَا إِسْنَادٌ صَحِيحٌ وَبِمَعْنَاهُ
[Machine] "And they would go out for their celebration from tomorrow."
