6. Two ʿĪd (Eid) Ṣalāhs
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to go out on the day of Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha walking, and a spear would be carried before him. Then it would be set up in front of him during the prayer, and he would take it as a barrier. This was before the buildings were constructed in the mosque. He did this in Arafat as well. The statement "walking" is strange, as I have not written it from the narration of Ibn 'Umar except through this chain, and it is not strong. As for the rest of his words, they are well-known.
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ used to go out walking and come back walking. Abu Sa'd al-Malini informed us, Abu Ahmad ibn 'Adi informed us, Abu Yahya al-Harrani narrated to us, Hisham ibn 'Ammar narrated to us, 'Abdul Rahman ibn Sa'd ibn 'Ammar informed me, my father told me about his forefathers and he mentioned it, Abu al-Husayn ibn al-Fadl al-Qattan informed me, Ahmad ibn 'Uthman ibn Ja'far al-Muqri narrated to us, Abu Ja'far Muhammad ibn 'Ali al-Warraq narrated to us, Abu Ghassan and Mu'awiya ibn 'Amr said narrated to us, Zuhayr narrated to us, Abu Ishaq narrated from al-Harith from Ali who said: It is from the Sunnah for a man to walk to the mosque.
[Machine] To come to the Eid walking, Abu Dawood added in his narration, then you ride when you return.
