[Machine] He heard the Prophet ﷺ say, "Indeed, Allah says, 'O son of Adam, if you give the favor, then it is better for you, and if you withhold it, then it is worse for you. And begin [with charity] to those whom you provide for. And do not blame Allah for what He has given you and the higher hand is better than the lower hand."  

أحمد:٨٧٤٣ – حَدَّثَنَا زَيْدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى الدِّمَشْقِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ الْعَلَاءِ بْنِ زَبْرٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ الْقَاسِمَ مَوْلَى يَزِيدَ يَقُولُ حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ

Being able to give charity is better than receiving it

muslim:1036 – Naṣr b. ʿAlī al-Jahḍamī And Zuhayr b. Ḥarb Waʿabd b. Ḥumayd > ʿUmar b. Yūnus > ʿIkrimah b. ʿAmmār > Shaddād > Abū Umāmah

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: ˹Allah says:˺ O son of Adam, it is better for you if you spend your surplus ˹in charity˺, but if you withhold it, it is evil for you. There is, however. no reproach for you ˹if you withhold means necessary˺ for a living. Begin ˹giving charity˺ with your dependents. and the upper hand is better than the lower hand.  

مسلم:١٠٣٦ – حَدَّثَنَا نَصْرُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْجَهْضَمِيُّ وَزُهَيْرُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ وَعَبْدُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ قَالُوا حَدَّثَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ يُونُسَ حَدَّثَنَا عِكْرِمَةُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ حَدَّثَنَا شَدَّادٌ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا أُمَامَةَ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ: «يَا ابْنَ آدَمَ! إِنَّكَ أَنْ تَبْذُلَ الْفَضْلَ خَيْرٌ لَكَ، وَأَنْ تُمْسِكَهُ شَرٌّ لَكَ، وَلاَ تُلاَمُ عَلَى كَفَافٍ، وَابْدَأْ بِمَنْ تَعُولُ، وَالْيَدُ الْعُلْيَا خَيْرٌ مِنَ الْيَدِ السُّفْلَى.»

الترمذي:٢٣٤٣ – حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ حَدَّثَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ يُونُسَ هُوَ الْيَمَامِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا عِكْرِمَةُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ حَدَّثَنَا شَدَّادُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا أُمَامَةَ يَقُولُ
