[Machine] About the Prophet ﷺ that he said, "Prayer is performed in pairs, in pairs, so he mentioned its likeness."  

أحمد:١٧٥٢٤ – حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ شُعْبَةَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ رَبِّهِ بْنَ سَعِيدٍ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ أَبِي أَنَسٍ مِنْ أَهْلِ مِصْرَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ نَافِعِ ابْنِ الْعَمْيَاءِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ عَنْ الْمُطَّلِبِ

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَنَّهُ قَالَ صَلاَةُ اللَّيْلِ وَالنَّهَارِ مَثْنَى مَثْنَى  

ذِكْرُ الْخَبَرِ الدَّالِّ عَلَى أَنَّ الْأَمْرَ بِأَرْبَعِ رَكَعَاتٍ فِي عَقِبِ صَلَاةِ الْجُمُعَةِ إِنَّمَا أُمِرَ بِذَلِكَ بِتَسْلِيمَتَيْنِ لَا بِتَسْلِيمَةٍ وَاحِدَةٍ

The Prophet ﷺ said: Prayer by night and day should consist of pairs of rak'ahs. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 1295)
