The Prophet ﷺ said: "Witr is one rak'ah at the end of the night." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 1689)
عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ صَلَاةُ اللَّيْلِ مَثْنَى مَثْنَى وَالْوِتْرُ رَكْعَةٌ مِنْ آخِرِ اللَّيْلِ
The Prophet ﷺ said: "Witr is one rak'ah at the end of the night." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 1689)
عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ صَلَاةُ اللَّيْلِ مَثْنَى مَثْنَى وَالْوِتْرُ رَكْعَةٌ مِنْ آخِرِ اللَّيْلِ
A man asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ about the night prayer, so the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "The night prayer is two ˹rakahs˺, then two ˹rakahs, and so on˺. Then, when one of you fears that dawn is near, let him pray one rakah, which will make odd what he has already prayed."
أَنَّ رَجُلاً سَأَلَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ عَنْ صَلاَةِ اللَّيْلِ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ: «صَلاَةُ اللَّيْلِ مَثْنَى مَثْنَى، فَإِذَا خَشِيَ أَحَدُكُمُ الصُّبْحَ صَلَّى رَكْعَةً وَاحِدَةً تُوتِرُ لَهُ مَا قَدْ صَلَّى».
A man said, "O Messenger of Allah ﷺ! How is the prayer of the night?" He said, "Two rakʿat followed by two rakʿat and so on, and when you apprehend the approaching dawn, offer one rakʿa as witr."
يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ كَيْفَ صَلاَةُ اللَّيْلِ قَالَ مَثْنَى مَثْنَى فَإِذَا خِفْتَ الصُّبْحَ فَأَوْتِرْ بِوَاحِدَةٍ
Prayer during the night should consist of pairs of rak'ahs, but if one of you fears morning is near, he should pray one rak'ah which will make his prayer an odd number for him.
أَنَّ رَجُلاً سَأَلَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ عَنْ صَلاَةِ اللَّيْلِ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ صَلاَةُ اللَّيْلِ مَثْنَى مَثْنَى فَإِذَا خَشِيَ أَحَدُكُمُ الصُّبْحَ صَلَّى رَكْعَةً وَاحِدَةً تُوتِرُ لَهُ مَا قَدْ صَلَّى
A man stood up and said. Messenger of Allah, how is the night prayer? The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: The night prayer consists of pair, but if you apprehend the rise of dawn, make it odd number by observing one rak'ah.
يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ كَيْفَ صَلاَةُ اللَّيْلِ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ صَلاَةُ اللَّيْلِ مَثْنَى مَثْنَى فَإِذَا خِفْتَ الصُّبْحَ فَأَوْتِرْ بِوَاحِدَةٍ
Witr is a rak'ah at the end of the prayer.
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ الْوِتْرُ رَكْعَةٌ مِنْ آخِرِ اللَّيْلِ

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ الْوِتْرُ رَكْعَةٌ مِنْ آخِرِ اللَّيْلِ
A man asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ about the prayer at night. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Prayer during the night should consist of pairs of rak'ahs, but if one of you fears the morning is near he should pray one rak'ah which will make his prayer an odd number for him.
أَنَّ رَجُلاً سَأَلَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ عَنْ صَلاَةِ اللَّيْلِ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ صَلاَةُ اللَّيْلِ مَثْنَى مَثْنَى فَإِذَا خَشِيَ أَحَدُكُمُ الصُّبْحَ صَلَّى رَكْعَةً وَاحِدَةً تُوتِرُ لَهُ مَا قَدْ صَلَّى
the Prophet said: "The Salat during the night and the day is two and two."

The Prophet ﷺ said: "Prayers at night are two by two, then if you fear that dawn will come, pray witr with one rak'ah."
عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ صَلاَةُ اللَّيْلِ مَثْنَى مَثْنَى فَإِذَا خِفْتَ الصُّبْحَ فَأَوْتِرْ بِوَاحِدَةٍ
"I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ on the minbar, when he was asked about prayers at night, say: "Two by two, then if you fear that dawn will come, pray witr with one rak'ah.'"
سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ عَلَى الْمِنْبَرِ يُسْأَلُ عَنْ صَلاَةِ اللَّيْلِ فَقَالَ مَثْنَى مَثْنَى فَإِذَا خِفْتَ الصُّبْحَ فَأَوْتِرْ بِرَكْعَةٍ

"A man from among the Muslims asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ: 'How are prayers at night to be done?' He said: 'prayers at night are (offered) two by two, then if you fear that dawn will come, pray witr with one.'"
سَأَلَ رَجُلٌ مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ كَيْفَ صَلاَةُ اللَّيْلِ فَقَالَ صَلاَةُ اللَّيْلِ مَثْنَى مَثْنَى فَإِذَا خِفْتَ الصُّبْحَ فَأَوْتِرْ بِوَاحِدَةٍ

A man from among the people of the desert asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ about prayer at night. He said:"(It is) two by two, and Witr is one rak'ah at the end of the night."
أَنَّ رَجُلاً مِنْ أَهْلِ الْبَادِيَةِ سَأَلَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ عَنْ صَلاَةِ اللَّيْلِ قَالَ مَثْنَى مَثْنَى وَالْوَتْرُ رَكْعَةٌ مِنْ آخِرِ اللَّيْلِ
"The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Prayer at night is two by two, and witr is one rak'ah.'"
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ صَلاَةُ اللَّيْلِ مَثْنَى مَثْنَى وَالْوَتْرُ رَكْعَةٌ وَاحِدَةٌ
A man asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ about prayer at night and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Prayer at night is two by two, then if one of you fears that dawn will break, pray one rak'ah to make the total number that he prayed odd."
أَنَّ رَجُلاً سَأَلَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ عَنْ صَلاَةِ اللَّيْلِ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ صَلاَةُ اللَّيْلِ مَثْنَى مَثْنَى فَإِذَا خَشِيَ أَحَدُكُمُ الصُّبْحَ صَلَّى رَكْعَةً وَاحِدَةً تُوتِرُ لَهُ مَا قَدْ صَلَّى
He heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: "Prayer at night is two rak'ahs by two rak'ahs, then when you fear tat dawn will break, pray witr with one rak'ah."
عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَهُ يَقُولُ صَلاَةُ اللَّيْلِ رَكْعَتَيْنِ رَكْعَتَيْنِ فَإِذَا خِفْتُمُ الصُّبْحَ فَأَوْتِرُوا بِوَاحِدَةٍ
[AI] The Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, said: "The prayer of the night and the day is in pairs, in pairs." And one of them said, "Two units of prayer, two units of prayer."
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «صَلَاةُ اللَّيْلِ وَالنَّهَارِ مَثْنَى مَثْنَى» وَقَالَ أَحَدُهُمَا «رَكْعَتَيْنِ رَكْعَتَيْنِ»

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ صَلَاةُ اللَّيْلِ مَثْنَى مَثْنَى فَإِذَا خِفْتَ الصُّبْحَ فَأَوْتِرْ بِوَاحِدَةٍ
[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to pray the night prayer in pairs, then he would perform Witr prayer with one rak'ah at the end of the night. After that, he would stand up as if hearing the Adhan or the Iqamah in his ears.
كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يُصَلِّي اللَّيْلَ مَثْنَى مَثْنَى ثُمَّ يُوتِرُ بِرَكْعَةٍ مِنْ آخِرِ اللَّيْلِ ثُمَّ يَقُومُ كَأَنَّ الْأَذَانَ أَوِ الْإِقَامَةَ فِي أُذُنَيْهِ
The Prophet ﷺ said: "Prayers at night are two by two, then if you fear that dawn will come, pray witr with one rak'ah." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 1668)
أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ صَلَاةُ اللَّيْلِ مَثْنَى مَثْنَى فَإِذَا خَشِيتَ الْفَجْرَ فَأَوْتِرْ بِوَاحِدَةٍ

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ الْوَتْرُ آخِرُ رَكْعَةٍ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ

أَنَّ رَجُلًا سَأَلَ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ عَنِ الْوَتْرِ؟ قَالَ فَمَشَيْتُ أَنَا وَذَاكَ الرَّجُلُ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ صَلَاةُ اللَّيْلِ مَثْنَى مَثْنَى وَالْوَتْرُ رَكْعَةٌ قَالَ شُعْبَةُ لَمْ يَقُلْ مِنْ آخِرِ اللَّيْلِ
[AI] "The Prophet ﷺ said: The evening prayer is a part of the daytime prayer, so perform the evening prayer along with it. And the night prayer should be offered in odd numbers of units, and the witr prayer is a single unit at the end of the night."
أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ صَلَاةُ الْمَغْرِبِ وِتْرُ صَلَاةِ النَّهَارِ فَأَوْتِرُوا صَلَاةَ اللَّيْلِ وَصَلَاةُ اللَّيْلِ مَثْنَى مَثْنَى وَالْوَتْرُ رَكْعَةٌ مِنْ آخِرِ اللَّيْلِ

سُئِلَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ عَنْ صَلَاةِ اللَّيْلِ فَقَالَ مَثْنَى مَثْنَى فَإِذَا خَشِيتَ الصُّبْحَ فَوَاحِدَةً
The Prophet (S) said: "Salat in the night is two by two. So when you fear the dawn (is near) then make it odd by one, and make that the last of your Salat odd." (Using translation from Tirmidhī 437)

سُئِلَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ كَيْفَ صَلَاةُ اللَّيْلِ؟ فَقَالَ مَثْنَى مَثْنَى فَإِذَا خِفْتَ الصُّبْحَ فَأَوْتِرْ بِوَاحِدَةٍ
[AI] The Messenger of Allahﷺ said that the night prayer should be performed in pairs. And when the dawn approaches, complete your night prayer with an odd-numbered unit of prayer, which will serve as the Witr prayer for you. Abdullah used to perform the Witr prayer with only one unit.

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ صَلَاةُ الْمَغْرِبِ وِتْرُ صَلَاةِ النَّهَارِ فَأَوْتِرُوا صَلَاةَ اللَّيْلِ وَصَلَاةُ اللَّيْلِ مَثْنَى مَثْنَى وَالْوَتْرُ رَكْعَةٌ مِنْ آخِرِ اللَّيْلِ
[AI] I heard the Prophet ﷺ saying, "The night prayer is to be performed two by two, and when you fear the dawn, then perform one rak'ah. Indeed, Allah, the Most High, loves the odd number."
سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ يَقُولُ صَلَاةُ اللَّيْلِ مَثْنَى مَثْنَى فَإِذَا خِفْتَ الصُّبْحَ فَوَاحِدَةً إِنَّ اللهَ تَعَالَى وِتْرٌ يُحِبُّ الْوِتْرَ

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّهُ قَالَ الصَّلَاةُ مَثْنَى مَثْنَى فَذَكَرَ مِثْلَهُ
