[Machine] Narrated by the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , from his Lord, He said, "Your Lord says: When My servant comes to Me walking, I go to him running. When he comes to Me with a span, I approach him with an arm's length. And when he comes to Me walking, I meet him trotting."  

أحمد:١٤٠١٣ – حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ أَبُو إِسْمَاعِيلَ الْقَنَّادُ حَدَّثَنَا قَتَادَةُ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ يَرْوِيهِ عَنْ رَبِّهِ ﷻ قَالَ يَقُولُ رَبُّكُمْ إِذَا تَلَقَّانِي عَبْدِي شِبْرًا تَلَقَّيْتُهُ ذِرَاعًا وَإِذَا تَلَقَّانِي ذِرَاعًا تَلَقَّيْتُهُ بَاعًا وَإِذَا تَلَقَّانِي يَمْشِي تَلَقَّيْتُهُ أُهَرْوِلُ

from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ that he said, "Allah ﷻ said: 'I am as my servant expects of me and I am with him as he remembers me.'" ˹The Prophet further said,˺ "By Allah, Allah is more pleased with the repentance of His servant than what one of you would do on finding the lost camel in the waterless desert: ˹Allah said:˺ 'When he draws near Me by the span of his hand, I draw near him by the length of a cubit. And when he draws near Me by the length of a cubit, I draw near him by the length of a fathom. And when he draws near Me walking, I draw close to him running.'"  

مسلم:٢٦٧٥h – حَدَّثَنِي سُوَيْدُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ حَدَّثَنَا حَفْصُ بْنُ مَيْسَرَةَ حَدَّثَنِي زَيْدُ بْنُ أَسْلَمَ عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَنَّهُ قَالَ: «قَالَ اللَّهُ ﷻ: أَنَا عِنْدَ ظَنِّ عَبْدِي بِي، وَأَنَا مَعَهُ حَيْثُ يَذْكُرُنِي۔ وَاللَّهِ لَلَّهُ أَفْرَحُ بِتَوْبَةِ عَبْدِهِ مِنْ أَحَدِكُمْ يَجِدُ ضَالَّتَهُ بِالْفَلاَةِ۔ وَمَنْ تَقَرَّبَ إِلَىَّ شِبْرًا تَقَرَّبْتُ إِلَيْهِ ذِرَاعًا، وَمَنْ تَقَرَّبَ إِلَىَّ ذِرَاعًا تَقَرَّبْتُ إِلَيْهِ بَاعًا، وَإِذَا أَقْبَلَ إِلَىَّ يَمْشِي أَقْبَلْتُ إِلَيْهِ أُهَرْوِلُ۔»  

Journey to Allah and he will rush toward you with help, blessings, Mercy, and forgiveness

ahmad:15925 – Isḥāq b. ʿĪsá > Ibn al-Ṭabbāʿ > Jarīr / Ibn Ḥāzim > Wāṣil al-Aḥdab > Abū Wāʾil > Shurayḥ

I heard a man from the companions of the Prophet ﷺ say that the Prophet ﷺ said, "Allah Almighty said: O son of Adam, stand for Me, and I will walk to you. Walk to Me, and I will come running to you."  

أحمد:١٥٩٢٥ – حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ عِيسَى هُوَ ابْنِ الطَّبَّاعِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ حَازِمٍ عَنْ وَاصِلٍ الْأَحْدَبِ عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ عَنْ شُرَيْحٍ قَالَ

سَمِعْتُ رَجُلًا مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ يَقُولُ قَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ: «قَالَ اللهُ تَعَالَى: يَا ابْنَ آدَمَ، قُمْ إِلَيَّ، أَمْشِ إِلَيْكَ، وَامْشِ إِلَيَّ، أُهَرْوِلْ إِلَيْكَ.»  

ahmad:8193 –

When My servant draws close to me by the span of a palm, I draw close to him by the space of a cubit, and when he draws close to Me by the space of a cubit, I draw close to him by the space (covered) by two hands, and when he draws close to Me by the space (covered by) two hands, I go in hurry towards him. (Using translation from Muslim 2675c)   

أحمد:٨١٩٣ –

وَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِنَّ اللهَ ﷻ قَالَ إِذَا تَلَقَّانِي عَبْدِي بِشِبْرٍ تَلَقَّيْتُهُ بِذِرَاعٍ وَإِذَا تَلَقَّانِي بِذِرَاعٍ تَلَقَّيْتُهُ بِبَاعٍ وَإِذَا تَلَقَّانِي بِبَاعٍ جِئْتُهُ أَتَيْتُهُ بِأَسْرَعَ

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ قَالَ اللهُ ﷻ أَنَا عِنْدَ ظَنِّ عَبْدِي بِي وَأَنَا مَعَهُ حِينَ يَذْكُرُنِي وَللهُ أَفْرَحُ بِتَوْبَةِ عَبْدِهِ مِنْ أَحَدِكُمْ يَجِدُ ضَالَّتَهُ بِالْفَلَاةِ قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ أُرَاهُ ضَالَّتَهُ وَمَنْ تَقَرَّبَ إِلَيَّ شِبْرًا تَقَرَّبْتُ إِلَيْهِ ذِرَاعًا وَمَنْ تَقَرَّبَ إِلَيَّ ذِرَاعًا تَقَرَّبْتُ إِلَيْهِ بَاعًا فَإِذَا أَقْبَلَ إِلَيَّ يَمْشِي أَقْبَلْتُ إِلَيْهِ أُهَرْوِلُ  

ahmad:10498 – Abū al-Qāsim ﷺ

[Machine] "When my servant comes to Me walking, I come to him running. And when he comes to Me with an arm's length, I come to him with a fathom's length. And when he comes to Me walking, I come to him hastening."  

أحمد:١٠٤٩٨ – م قَالَ وَقَالَ أَبُو الْقَاسِمِ ﷺ قَالَ

اللهُ ﷻ إِذَا جَاءَنِي عَبْدِي شِبْرًا جِئْتُهُ بِذِرَاعٍ وَإِذَا جَاءَنِي بِذِرَاعٍ جِئْتُهُ بِبَاعٍ وَإِذَا جَاءَنِي يَمْشِي جِئْتُهُ أُهَرْوِلُ

"يَقُولُ اللَّه ﷻ: (ابْنَ آدَمَ: قُمْ إِلَىَّ أَمْشِ إِلَيْكَ، امْشِ إِلىَّ أُهَرْوِلْ إِلَيْكَ) ابْنَ آدَمَ: إِنْ دَنَوْتَ مِنِّى شِبْرًا دَنَوْتُ مِنْكَ ذِرَاعًا، وَإِنْ دَنَوْتَ مِنِّى ذِرَاعًا دَنَوْتُ مِنْكَ بَاعًا، ابْنَ آدَمَ: إِنَّ حَدَّثْتَ نَفْسَكَ بِحَسَنَةٍ فَلَمْ تَعْمَلهَا كتَبْتُهَا لَكَ حَسَنَةً، وَإِنْ عَمِلتَهَا كَتَبْتُهَا لَكَ عَشْرًا، وَإِنْ هَمَمْتَ بِسَيِّئَةٍ فَحَجَزَكَ عَنْهَا هَيْبَتِى كَتَبْتُهَا لَكَ حَسنَةً، فَإِنْ عَمِلتَهَا كَتَبْتُهَا سَيِّئَةً وَاحِدَةً".
