Indeed, the worker may spend a portion of his life or a moment of his time performing righteous deeds, and if he dies upon that, he enters Paradise. Then, he may change and perform evil deeds. Similarly, a servant may spend a portion of his life performing evil deeds, and if he dies upon that, he enters the Fire. Then, he may change and perform righteous deeds. And when Allah intends good for a servant, He employs him before his death.' They said, 'O Messenger of Allah, how does He employ him?' He said, 'He gives him success in performing righteous deeds, then He seizes him upon that.'"

أحمد:١٢٢١٤حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ أَخْبَرَنَا حُمَيْدٌ عَنْ أَنَسٍ

[Machine] Do not be astonished by a person's actions until you know what will be sealed for him by them. A man may perform a good deed momentarily in his lifetime or for a period of time, even if he dies upon it, he dies upon evil. Then he may turn to performing righteous deeds and be sealed with them. And a servant may perform a good deed momentarily in his lifetime or for a period of time, even if he dies upon it, he dies upon good. Then he may turn to performing evil deeds and be sealed with them. Hamid said, and he recited it once, then stopped.

[Machine] A man used to write for the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. He had memorized Surah Al-Baqarah and Surah Al Imran, and when he recited them, he would become very pale, meaning he would become overwhelmed. So the Prophet ﷺ would dictate to him, saying "Write it as 'Ghafur' (the Forgiving) and 'Raheem' (the Merciful)," and he would write it as 'Aleem' (the All-Knowing) and 'Hakeem' (the Wise). The Prophet ﷺ would then say to him, "Write whatever you wish." And he would dictate to him, saying "Write it as 'Samee' (All-Hearing) and 'Baseer' (All-Seeing)?" And he would reply, "Write whatever you wish." So that man turned away from Islam and joined the polytheists, and he said, "I know better than all of you about Muhammad. If I wanted, I could write whatever I wished." That man died and the Prophet ﷺ said, "Indeed, the earth did not accept him." Anas narrated that Abu Talha went to the place where that man had died and found his grave rejected. Abu Talha asked, "What happened to this man?" They replied, "We buried him multiple times, but the earth did not accept him."

[Machine] Steadfast, it was as if I detested that, so I said, "O Abu Hamzah, if you were to call them by their names." He replied, "There is no harm in that. Shall I inform you about your brothers whom we used to call the Qurraa' during the time of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ? They were seventy in number. When nightfall came upon them, they would go to a teacher in Al-Madinah and study the Quran until morning. Then, whoever had strength would fetch water, and others would bring firewood. Those who had the means would contribute and they would buy a sheep, which they would slaughter and prepare. In the morning, they would hang it at the door of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ . When Khubayb (may Allah be pleased with him) was martyred, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ sent them to ask for blood money. They came to a settlement of Banu Sulaym, among whom there was Haram. Haram forbade their Amir from speaking to them and said, 'Leave me so that I may inform these people that we do not need them until they show their faces.' 'Affan said, 'They will show their faces.' Haram told them, 'We have no need for you,' and a man approached them with a spear and pierced him with it. When he discovered the spear in his stomach, he said, 'Allahu Akbar! By the Lord of the Ka'bah, I have succeeded!' Then, they attacked them and none of them survived. Anas said, 'I have never seen the Messenger of Allah ﷺ so happy about anything I did not see anything on them except a small sword, which the Prophet ﷺ did not find upon them. Whenever he prayed Fajr, he raised his hands and invoked curses upon them. After that, whenever Abu Talhah said, 'May you perish in the fight of the forbidden,' I would say to him, 'May Allah deal with him as He wills' and it would be that Allah had already dealt with him. 'Affan said, 'Wait, for he has accepted Islam.' 'Affan said, 'He raised his hands and invoked curses upon them.' Abu An-Nadir said, 'He raised his hands.'

[Machine] Sabit asked Anas, "Did the Messenger of Allah ﷺ have white hair on his head and beard when he passed away?" Anas replied, "Allah (glory be to Him) took His Messenger while there were not more than thirty white hairs on his head and beard. So, how can you consider that a disgrace? As for you, you count it as a disgrace, but as for us, we considered it as a decoration."

[Machine] Al-Ala' bin Ziyad al-Adawi, O Abu Hamza, at what age was the Prophet of Allah ﷺ when he was sent? He said, "At the age of forty." He asked, "And what did he do?" He said, "He was in Makkah for ten years, and in Madinah for ten years, making a total of sixty years, then Allah took him unto Himself." He asked, "What was his appearance like at that time?" He said, "He had the most beautiful, handsome, and well-built appearance among men." He said, "O Abu Hamza, did you fight alongside the Prophet of Allah ﷺ?" He said, "Yes, I fought with him on the day of Hunayn. The disbelievers came in large numbers and overwhelmed us, so we saw our own horses behind us, and amongst the disbelievers was a man who would attack and damage us. When the Prophet of Allah ﷺ saw that, he descended, and Allah granted us victory over them, so they turned away. The Prophet of Allah ﷺ then stood up upon seeing the victory, and the captives were brought to him, one by one, so they pledged allegiance to him on Islam. A man from amongst the companions of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'I have made a vow that if the man who has been attacking us all day is brought to me, I will strike his neck.' The Prophet of Allah ﷺ remained silent. The man was brought to the Prophet of Allah ﷺ. When the Prophet of Allah ﷺ saw him, he said, 'O Messenger of Allah, I repent to Allah, O Messenger of Allah, I repent to Allah.' The Prophet of Allah ﷺ then held him back and did not pledge allegiance to him, in order to fulfill the other man's vow. He said, 'O Messenger of Allah, should I not strike him?' The Prophet of Allah ﷺ said, 'I have not held him back since today, except to fulfill your vow.' He then said, 'O Messenger of Allah, did you not look at me?' He replied, 'It is not for a Prophet to kill."

[Machine] There were seventy young men from the Ansar called the Qurrā who used to stay in the mosque. When it was evening, they would go to a area of the city, where they would study and pray. Their families thought they were in the mosque, and the people of the mosque thought they were with their families. When it was almost dawn, they would fetch water and collect firewood, which they would bring to the Prophet's chamber. The Prophet sent them all on a mission, and they were ambushed at the well of Ma'ūnah. The Prophet then prayed against their killers for fifteen days during the morning prayer.

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ came to us while I was among a group of servants, so he greeted us and took me by the hand. He sent me with a message and sat in the shade of a wall or within a wall until I returned to him. When I came to Umm Sulaim, she said, "What detained you?" I said, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ sent me with a message." She asked, "What is it?" I said, "It is a secret." She said, "Keep the secret of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and do not inform anyone else." Therefore, I never told anyone about it afterwards.
