[Machine] A man used to write for the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. He had memorized Surah Al-Baqarah and Surah Al Imran, and when he recited them, he would become very pale, meaning he would become overwhelmed. So the Prophet ﷺ would dictate to him, saying "Write it as 'Ghafur' (the Forgiving) and 'Raheem' (the Merciful)," and he would write it as 'Aleem' (the All-Knowing) and 'Hakeem' (the Wise). The Prophet ﷺ would then say to him, "Write whatever you wish." And he would dictate to him, saying "Write it as 'Samee' (All-Hearing) and 'Baseer' (All-Seeing)?" And he would reply, "Write whatever you wish." So that man turned away from Islam and joined the polytheists, and he said, "I know better than all of you about Muhammad. If I wanted, I could write whatever I wished." That man died and the Prophet ﷺ said, "Indeed, the earth did not accept him." Anas narrated that Abu Talha went to the place where that man had died and found his grave rejected. Abu Talha asked, "What happened to this man?" They replied, "We buried him multiple times, but the earth did not accept him."
