[Machine] I divorced my wife while she was menstruating, and Umar mentioned that to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , and he said, "Tell him to take her back."  

الطبراني:١٣٣٠٥ – حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الرَّازِيُّ ثنا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْحَسَنِ الْأَسَدِيُّ ثنا يُونُسُ بْنُ بُكَيْرٍ ثنا النَّضْرُ أَبُو عُمَرَ عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ قَالَ

طَلَّقْتُ امْرَأَتِي وَهِيَ حَائِضٌ فَذَكَرَ عُمَرُ ذَلِكَ لِرَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ «مُرْهُ فَلْيُرَاجِعْهَا»

"Tell him to take her back, then divorce her while she is pure (not menstruating) or pregnant."  

النسائي:٣٣٩٧ – أَخْبَرَنَا مَحْمُودُ بْنُ غَيْلاَنَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ مَوْلَى طَلْحَةَ عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ

أَنَّهُ طَلَّقَ امْرَأَتَهُ وَهِيَ حَائِضٌ فَذَكَرَ ذَلِكَ لِلنَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَقَالَ مُرْهُ فَلْيُرَاجِعْهَا ثُمَّ لْيُطَلِّقْهَا وَهِيَ طَاهِرٌ أَوْ حَامِلٌ  

abudawud:2181 – ʿUthmān b. Abū Shaybah > Wakīʿ > Sufyān > Muḥammad b. ʿAbd al-Raḥman a freed slave of Āl Ṭalḥah > Sālim > Ibn ʿUmar

Ibn ‘Umar said that he divorced his wife while she was menstruating. ‘Umar mentioned the matter to the Prophet ﷺ. He (the Prophet) said “Order him, he must take her back and divorce her when she is purified (from menstrual discharge) or she is pregnant.”  

أبو داود:٢١٨١ – حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ مَوْلَى آلِ طَلْحَةَ عَنْ سَالِمٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ

أَنَّهُ طَلَّقَ امْرَأَتَهُ وَهِيَ حَائِضٌ فَذَكَرَ ذَلِكَ عُمَرُ لِلنَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ مُرْهُ فَلْيُرَاجِعْهَا ثُمَّ لْيُطَلِّقْهَا إِذَا طَهُرَتْ أَوْ وَهِيَ حَامِلٌ

Ibn ‘Umar said that he divorced his wife while she was menstruating. ‘Umar mentioned the matter to the Prophet ﷺ. He (the Prophet) said “Order him, he must take her back and divorce her when she is purified (from menstrual discharge) or she is pregnant.” (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 2181)

أَنَّهُ طَلَّقَ امْرَأَتَهُ وَهِيَ حَائِضٌ فَذَكَرَ ذَلِكَ عُمَرُ لِلنَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لِيُرَاجِعْهَا حَتَّى تَطْهُرَ ثُمَّ لِيُطَلِّقْهَا إِنْ شَاءَ
