[Machine] It was reported that Ibn Umar divorced his wife while she was menstruating. The Prophet ﷺ commanded him to reconcile with her until she becomes pure (finishes her menstruation). Then, when she becomes pure, he can divorce her.  

البيهقي:١٤٩٢٥أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ وَأَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ الْقَاضِي قَالَا ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ نا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ نا قَبِيصَةُ نا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ

أَنَّ ابْنَ عُمَرَ طَلَّقَ امْرَأَتَهُ وَهِيَ حَائِضٌ فَأَمَرَهُ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ أَنْ يُرَاجِعَهَا حَتَّى تَطْهُرَ فَإِذَا طَهُرَتْ طَلَّقَهَا

Ibn ‘Umar said that he divorced his wife while she was menstruating. ‘Umar mentioned the matter to the Prophet ﷺ. He (the Prophet) said “Order him, he must take her back and divorce her when she is purified (from menstrual discharge) or she is pregnant.” (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 2181)
