tabarani:13300ʿAbdān b. Aḥmad > Sahl b. ʿUthmān al-Nahratīrī > ʿAmr b. ʿAbd al-Ghaffār > al-Aʿmash > Abū Ṣāliḥ > Ibn ʿUmar

[Machine] The Prophet of Allah, ﷺ , prohibited staying for more than three days, and they said, "But you frequently visit Yahya (John)." He replied, "I still have the shade of my Lord, who feeds and quenches me."  

الطبراني:١٣٣٠٠حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَانُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ ثنا سَهْلُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ النَّهْرَتِيرِيُّ ثنا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَبْدِ الْغَفَّارِ عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ

نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَنْ وِصَالِ ثَلَاثَةِ أَيَّامٍ فَقَالُوا إِنَّكَ تُوَاصِلُ قَالَ «إِنِّي أَظَلُّ يُطْعِمُنِي رَبِّي وَيَسْقِينِي»

Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade Al-Wisal. The people said (to him), "But you practice it?" He said, "I am not like you, for I am given food and drink by Allah."

[Machine] "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade seeking proximity through acts of worship. It was said, 'But you constantly engage in acts of worship.' He replied, 'Indeed, I spend the night while my Lord feeds me and provides me with drink.'"  

أحمد:١٣٥٨٢حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ حَدَّثَنَا قَتَادَةُ عَنْ أَنَسٍ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ نَهَى عَنِ الْوِصَالِ قَالَ فَقِيلَ إِنَّكَ تُوَاصِلُ قَالَ إِنِّي أَبِيتُ يُطْعِمُنِي رَبِّي وَيَسْقِينِي  

ahmad:14080Bahz > Hammām > Qatādah > Anas

[Machine] It was narrated that the Prophet ﷺ forbade being in constant companionship. It was said to him, "You associate with others." He said, "Indeed, I spend the night being fed and quenched by my Lord."  

أحمد:١٤٠٨٠حَدَّثَنَا بَهْزٌ حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا قَتَادَةُ عَنْ أَنَسٍ

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ نَهَى عَنِ الْوِصَالِ قَالَ قِيلَ لَهُ إِنَّكَ تُوَاصِلُ قَالَ إِنِّي أَبِيتُ يُطْعِمُنِي رَبِّي وَيَسْقِينِي

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ prohibited mingling. It was said, "O Messenger of Allah, you engage in mingling." He replied, "I am not like you, indeed, I remain in the company of my Lord and He feeds me and gives me drink."  

أحمد:٨٩٠٢حَدَّثَنَا أَسْوَدُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ عَنْ عَاصِمٍ عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ

نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَنِ الْوِصَالِ قَالَ قِيلَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنَّكَ تُوَاصِلُ قَالَ إِنِّي لَسْتُ مِثْلَكُمْ إِنِّي أَظَلُّ عِنْدَ رَبِّي يُطْعِمُنِي وَيَسْقِينِي

[Machine] The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ forbade meeting together. It was said, "Don't you communicate?" He said, "Indeed, I am fed and given drink."  

أحمد:٥٩١٧حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكٌ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ

نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَنِ الْوِصَالِ فَقِيلَ أَوَلَسْتَ تُوَاصِلُ؟ قَالَ إِنِّي أُطْعَمُ وَأُسْقَى  

ahmad:26211And Hb b. Jarīr > Shuʿbah > ʿĀṣim a freed slave of Quraybah > Quraybah b. Muḥammad b. ʿAbd al-Raḥman b. Abū Bakr > ʿĀʾishah

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade being in constant contact. So, it was asked, "O Messenger of Allah, do you not maintain relationships?" He replied, "Indeed, I spend my nights being fed and provided with drink by my Lord."  

أحمد:٢٦٢١١حَدَّثَنَا وَهْبُ بْنُ جَرِيرٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ عَاصِمٍ مَوْلَى قُرَيْبَةَ عَنْ قُرَيْبَةَ بِنْتِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ نَهَى عَنِ الْوِصَالِ فَقِيلَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ فَإِنَّكَ تُوَاصِلُ؟ قَالَ إِنِّي أَبِيتُ يُطْعِمُنِي رَبِّي وَيَسْقِينِي  

bayhaqi:8266Abū ʿAbdullāh al-Ḥāfiẓ > Abū al-ʿAbbās Muḥammad b. Yaʿqūb > al-Ḥasan b. ʿAlī b. ʿAffān > Abū Dāwud al-Ḥafarī > Sufyān > ʿAbd al-Raḥman b. ʿĀbis > ʿAbd al-Raḥman b. Abū Laylá > a man from Aṣḥāb Muḥammad ﷺ

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , prohibited continuous blood-letting and cupping for the fasting person to keep him healthy, but he did not forbid them. It was said to him (the Prophet), "You experience cupping." He replied, "Indeed, my Lord has kept me nourished and quenched."  

البيهقي:٨٢٦٦أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ ثنا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ عَفَّانَ ثنا أَبُو دَاوُدَ الْحَفَرِيُّ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَابِسٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى عَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ مُحَمَّدٍ ﷺ قَالَ

نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَنِ الْمُوَاصَلَةِ وَالْحِجَامَةِ لِلصَّائِمِ إِبْقَاءً عَلَى أَصْحَابِهِ وَلَمْ يُحَرِّمْهُمَا فَقِيلَ لَهُ إِنَّكَ تُوَاصِلُ فَقَالَ إِنِّي أَظَلُّ يُطْعِمُنِي رَبِّي وَيَسْقِينِي
