[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to point with his index finger when he sat at the end of his prayer. The polytheists used to say that he was using magic, but they were lying. However, it was actually a sign of monotheism.

So whoever encounters it, they should walk with their sword towards As-Safa and strike it until it breaks, then they should lie down until it clears up."

[Machine] On the authority of Khurashah ibn al-Harithah, the Companon of the Prophet Muhammad, ﷺ , who said that the Prophet Muhammad, ﷺ , said, "None of you should witness the killing of a person (in battle) who died patiently, for it may be that he is killed unjustly and the punishment descends upon those who killed him, and they are afflicted with it as well."

[Machine] We accompanied the Messenger of Allah ﷺ on a journey to the outskirts of Dhahran. I went out of my hiding place and saw some women conversing. They caught my attention and I returned to my hiding place, taking off my dirty clothes and replacing them with clean ones. Then I approached the women and sat with them. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ came out of his tent and said, "Abu Abdullah, what made you sit with them?" When I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , I was filled with awe and confusion. I said, "O Messenger of Allah, my camel strayed away and I was looking for it, so I followed it. Then it stopped and threw its saddle off, so I picked it up and followed it. The camel then entered the groves and I saw the white of its back amidst the greenery of the groves. It relieved itself and performed ablution, then it turned towards me and water dripped from its beard onto its chest, or he said water dripped from his beard onto his chest. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Abu Abdullah, what did your camel do?" Then we departed, and every time he caught up with me during the journey he would say, "Peace be upon you, Abu Abdullah. What did your camel do?" When I saw this, I hastened back to Medina, avoiding the mosque and the gatherings until I reached the Prophet's ﷺ home. When that situation lasted too long, I waited for a moment of privacy in the mosque and then I entered the mosque and stood up to pray. Suddenly, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ emerged from one of his rooms and performed two light Rak'ahs (units of prayer). I hoped that he would leave and leave me alone, but he said, "Take your time, Abu Abdullah, for as long as you wish, I won't leave until you finish." In my heart, I said: "By Allah, I will apologize to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and I will ease his mind." When he said, "Peace be upon you, Abu Abdullah. What did your camel do?" I said, "By the One who sent you with the truth, that camel has not strayed since it became Muslim." He said, "May Allah have mercy on you," three times and then he did not mention anything about what had happened.

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "People are of four types, and deeds are of six types. Deeds are of two types: the equivalent of an act and the reward of ten times that act, and seven hundred times the reward of that act. Whosoever dies as a Muslim, Paradise is obligatory (for him), and whosoever dies as a disbeliever, Hell is obligatory (for him). The servant is concerned with a good deed, so it is recorded for him as one good deed; and the servant is concerned with an evil deed, so he does not get recompensed except for its equivalent. The servant performs a good deed, so it is recorded for him as ten good deeds; and the servant spends in the cause of Allah, so it is multiplied for him by seven hundred times. People are of four types: one to whom the worldly life is expansive and the Hereafter is expansive (i.e., both are good for him); one to whom the worldly life is expansive and the Hereafter is straitened (i.e., only the worldly life is good for him); one to whom the worldly life is straitened and the Hereafter is expansive (i.e., only the Hereafter is good for him); and one to whom the worldly life is straitened and the Hereafter is straitened (i.e., both are bad for him).

Among them are those who have ample provision in this world and in the Hereafter, and among them are those who have ample provision in this world, but are limited in the Hereafter. And among them are those who are limited in this world, but have ample provision in the Hereafter. And among them are those who are wretched in this world and in the Hereafter. The two types of actions are as follows: the one who dies without associating partners with Allah will enter Paradise, and the one who dies while associating partners with Allah will enter Hell. Whoever intends to commit an evil but does not do it, a good deed will be recorded for him. And whoever intends to commit a good deed and does not do it, a good deed will be recorded for him. [Machine] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying and the Prophet ﷺ looked at the Angel of Death, ﷺ , by the head of a man from the Ansar, and said, "O Angel of Death, be kind to my companion, for he is a believer." The Angel of Death, ﷺ , said, "Calm his soul, soothe his eyes, and know that I am a companion to every believer. And know, O Muhammad, that I am the one who takes the soul of the son of Adam. So when he screams, a scream comes from his people, I rise in his home with his soul. I ask, "What is this scream?" By Allah, we did not wrong him, nor did we postpone his appointed time, nor did we hasten his fate. And we have no sin on him in his death. If you are satisfied with what Allah has done, you will be rewarded. And if you are saddened and resentful, you will sin and be supported. We have no grievances against you, and we have a return to you over and over again, so be careful. And there is no household, O Muhammad, whether they have a strand of hair, a patch of land, a plain or a mountain, except that I visit them every day and night. For I know the young and old among them better than themselves. By Allah, O Muhammad, if I wanted to take the soul of a mosquito, I would not be able to until Allah gives permission for its demise." Ja'far informed me that he was told that the Angel of Death only visits people at the times of prayer. So when he looks at someone at the time of death, if he was someone who maintained the prayers, the Angel of Death draws near to him, pushes away Satan, and teaches him that there is no god but Allah and that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah. And that is the great situation.

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ sent a small group of soldiers and commanded Asim bin Thabit, the grandfather of Asim bin Umar, to lead them. They set out until they reached a place between Usfan and Mecca, where they encountered a tribe called Banu Lihyan. They followed their tracks closely, led by a skilled tracker. They followed their tracks until they reached a settlement where they found a date palm tree that provided them with dates from Madinah. They said, "These dates are from Yathrib (Madinah)." They continued to follow their tracks until they caught up with them. When Asim bin Thabit and his companions caught up with them, they sought refuge in a mountain called Fadfad. The people surrounded them and said, "We have a treaty and a pact that if you come to us, we will not kill any of you." Asim bin Thabit said, "As for me, I will not enter into the protection of a disbeliever. O Allah, inform Your Messenger about us." So they fought against them until they killed Asim and seven others. There remained Khuwaybir bin Adi and Zaid bin Dathinah, whom they sold in Mecca. Khuwaybir bin Harith bin Amir bin Nawfal bought Khuwaybir from them. The day of the Battle of Badr, he remained with them as a prisoner. When they agreed to kill him, Musa, one of the daughters of Harith, allowed him to use her for protection. I (the narrator) had neglected my young son, so he crawled towards him until he reached him. When Musa saw him, she became frightened and started screaming. She recognized me and saw Musa in his hand. She said, "Are you afraid that I will kill him? I would never do such a thing, if Allah wills." She said, "I have never seen a good captive better than Khuwaybir. I saw him eating grapes that are not even available in Mecca at that time. He was shackled in iron, and his survival was only by the provision that Allah had given him." Then they took him outside the sanctuary to kill him, and he said, "Let me pray two units (rak'at) of prayer." He prayed the two units of prayer, and then he said, "Had it not been for you seeing my anxiety about death, I would have prayed more." He was the first to establish the two units of prayer before being killed. Then he said, "O Allah, count them and deal with them accordingly."

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ sent me to Caesar, the ruler of the Romans, with a letter. So I said, "Get permission from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ." So they took me to Caesar and it was said to him, "There is a man at the door who claims to be the Messenger of Allah's ﷺ Messenger." They became alarmed at this, so he said, "Let him in." So I was brought in to him and he had his bishops with him. So I gave him the letter and he began to read it. In it was written, "In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful, from Muhammad, the Messenger of Allah, to Caesar, the ruler of the Romans." Then his red-faced cousin, who was a Christian monk, knelt down and said to him, "Do not read this letter today, for today it has started with something that you may dislike." The letter was read until the end, and then he told them to go out. Then he sent for me and I went in to him and he asked me and I told him. Then he sent for the bishops and gathered them together. When he read the letter, the bishop said, "By Allah, this is the same one whom Moses and Jesus (peace be upon them) gave glad tidings of. We have been waiting for him." Caesar said, "What do you command me to do?" He said, "As for me, I believe in him and I follow him." Caesar said, "I know that he is the Prophet, but if I were to follow him, my kingdom would be taken away and I would be killed by the Romans."

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ took my hand and gave me a piece of cloth, then he said, "Cut it into two halves and give one half to your wife so she can wear it to consecrate herself." When I turned to leave, he said, "Tell your wife not to place a garment under her split cloth."
