The Messenger of Allah ﷺ prostrated himself at night when reciting the Qur'an. He said repeatedly: My face prostrates itself to Him Who created it and brought forth its hearing and seeing by His might and power.

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ فِي سُجُودِ الْقُرْآنِ بِاللَّيْلِ يَقُولُ فِي السَّجْدَةِ مِرَارًا سَجَدَ وَجْهِي لِلَّذِي خَلَقَهُ وَشَقَّ سَمْعَهُ وَبَصَرَهُ بِحَوْلِهِ وَقُوَّتِهِ

"When the Messenger of Allah would prostrate (for recitation of) the Qur'an, he would say: (Sajada wajhiya lilladhi khalaqahu wa shaqqa sam'ahu wa basarahu bihawlihi wa quwwatihi.) (I have prostrated my face to the One Who created it, and made its hearing and vision, though His ability and power.)"

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ فِي سُجُودِ الْقُرْآنِ بِاللَّيْلِ سَجَدَ وَجْهِيَ لِلَّذِي خَلَقَهُ وَشَقَّ سَمْعَهُ وَبَصَرَهُ بِحَوْلِهِ وَقُوَّتِهِ

“When the Messenger of Allah would prostrate (for recitation of) the Qur’an, he would say: ‘I have prostrated my face to the One Who created it, and made its hearing and vision, through His ability and power (Sajada wajhī lilladhī khalaqahū wa shaqqa samʿahū wa baṣarahū bi ḥawlihī wa quwwatih).’”

كَانَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ يَقُولُ فِي سُجُودِ الْقُرْآنِ بِاللَّيْلِ سَجَدَ وَجْهِي لِلَّذِي خَلَقَهُ وَشَقَّ سَمْعَهُ وَبَصَرَهُ بِحَوْلِهِ وَقُوَّتِهِ

When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ prostrated he would say: "Allahumma laka sajadtu wa laka aslamtu wa bika amantu sajada wajhi lilladhi khalaqahu wa sawwarahu fa ahsana suratahu wa shaqqa sam'ahu wa basarahu, tabarak Allahu ahsanul-khaliqin ( O Allah, to You I have prostrated and to You I have submitted, and in You I have believed. My face has prostrated to the One Who created it and shaped it and shaped it well, and brought forth its hearing and sight. Blessed be Allah the best of Creators.)"

My face has prostrated to the One Who created it and formed it, and brought forth its hearing and sight. Blessed be Allah the best of Creators.)"

O Allah, You are my Lord. My face has prostrated to the One Who created it and formed it, and brought forth its hearing and sight. Blessed be Allah the best of Creators.)"

[AI] The Prophet ﷺ used to say during his prostration in the night prayer of the Quran: "I prostrate my face to the One who created it and opened up his hearing and sight through His power and strength." Wahb, Khalid, and Abdul-Wahhab Al-Thaqafi narrated this with an addition from Khalid.

The Prophet ﷺ used to say, when he did a prostration that was required when reciting Quran at night: "Sajada wajhi lilladhi khalaqahu wa sawwarahu wa shaqqa sam'ahu wa basarahu bihawlihi wa quwwatih (My face has prostrated to the One Who created it and formed it, and brought forth its hearing and sight by His power and strength.)" أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ كَانَ يَقُولُ فِي سُجُودِ الْقُرْآنِ بِاللَّيْلِ «سَجَدَ وَجْهِي لِلَّذِي خَلْقَهُ وَشَقَّ سَمْعَهُ وَبَصَرَهُ بِحَوْلِهِ وَقُوَّتِهِ»

[AI] That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to, when he stood up for prayer, mention the praises of Allah and supplicate during it. And when he prostrated, he would say: "O Allah, to You I have prostrated, and in You I have believed, and to You I have submitted. My face has prostrated to the One who created it, and fashioned it, and opened its hearing and sight. Blessed is Allah, the Best of creators."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ كَانَ إِذَا قَامَ فِي الصَّلَاةِ فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ وَفِيهِ فَإِذَا سَجَدَ قَالَ اللهُمَّ لَكَ سَجَدْتُ وَبِكَ آمَنْتُ وَلَكَ أَسْلَمْتُ وَعَلَيْكَ تَوَكَّلْتُ سَجَدَ وَجْهِي لِلَّذِي خَلَقَهُ وَصَوَّرَهُ وَشَقَّ سَمْعَهُ وَبَصَرَهُ فَتَبَارَكَ اللهُ أَحْسَنُ الْخَالِقِينَ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to say during the prostration of recitation at night, he would say in prostration: "My face has prostrated to the One who created it and its hearing and sight, by His power and strength." Abu Abdullah added in his narration: "Blessed is Allah, the best of creators." And what was narrated from Ibn Abbas is elevated.
