Umm Habiba asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ about the blood (which flows beyond the period of menstruation). 'A'isha said: I saw her wash-tub full of blood. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Remain away (from prayer) equal (to the length of time) that your menses prevented you. After this (after the period of usual courses) bathe yourself and offer prayer.  

أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ إِنَّ أُمَّ حَبِيبَةَ سَأَلَتْ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ عَنِ الدَّمِ فَقَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ رَأَيْتُ مِرْكَنَهَا مَلآنَ دَمًا فَقَالَ لَهَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ امْكُثِي قَدْرَ مَا كَانَتْ تَحْبِسُكِ حَيْضَتُكِ ثُمَّ اغْتَسِلِي وَصَلِّي  

"I saw her wash tub filled with blood." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to her: "Stop (praying) for as long as your period used to last, then perform Ghusl."  

إِنَّ أُمَّ حَبِيبَةَ سَأَلَتْ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ عَنِ الدَّمِ فَقَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ رَأَيْتُ مِرْكَنَهَا مَلآنَ دَمًا فَقَالَ لَهَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ امْكُثِي قَدْرَ مَا كَانَتْ تَحْبِسُكِ حِيضَتُكِ ثُمَّ اغْتَسِلِي وَأَخْبَرَنَا بِهِ قُتَيْبَةُ مَرَّةً أُخْرَى وَلَمْ يَذْكُرْ فِيهِ جَعْفَرَ بْنَ رَبِيعَةَ  

Umm Habibah asked the prophet ﷺ about the blood (which flows beyond the period of menstruation). ‘A’ishah said: I saw her wash-tub full of blood. The apostle of Allah (May peace be upon him) said; Keep away (from prayer) equal (to the length of time) that your menses prevented you. Then wash yourself. Abu Dawud said: Qutaibah mentioned the name Jaftar b. Rabi’ah in the middle of the text of the tradition for the second time (i.e., Qutaibah, being doubtful about the narrator Jafar b. Rabi’ah, mentioned his name twice: once in the chain and again while reporting the text). Ali b. ‘Ayyash and yunus b. Muhammad reported it on the authority of al-Laith. They mentioned the name Jafar b. Rabi’ah.

[Machine] I asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ about menstrual blood. Aisha said: I saw her menstrual pad filled with blood, so the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to her, "Stay as long as the duration of your period used to prevent you from praying, then perform Ghusl (ritual bath)."
