Jabir (Allah be pleased with him) reported Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbidding the selling (renting of) uncultivated land for two years or three.  

مسلم:١٥٣٦x – وَحَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَحْيَى أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو خَيْثَمَةَ عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ عَنْ جَابِرٍ قَالَ

نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ عَنْ بَيْعِ الأَرْضِ الْبَيْضَاءِ سَنَتَيْنِ أَوْ ثَلاَثًا
