I saw the Prophet ﷺ near the Jamra and the people were asking him questions (about religious problems). A man asked, "O Messenger of Allah ﷺ! I have slaughtered the Hadi (animal) before doing the Rami." The Prophet ﷺ replied, "Do the Rami (now) and there is no harm." Another person asked, "O Messenger of Allah ﷺ! I got my head shaved before slaughtering the animal." The Prophet ﷺ replied, "Do the slaughtering (now) and there is no harm." So on that day, when the Prophet ﷺ was asked about anything as regards the ceremonies of Hajj performed before or after its due time his reply was, "Do it (now) and there is no harm."  

رَأَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ عِنْدَ الْجَمْرَةِ وَهُوَ يُسْأَلُ فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ نَحَرْتُ قَبْلَ أَنْ أَرْمِيَ قَالَ ارْمِ وَلاَ حَرَجَ قَالَ آخَرُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ حَلَقْتُ قَبْلَ أَنْ أَنْحَرَ قَالَ انْحَرْ وَلاَ حَرَجَ فَمَا سُئِلَ عَنْ شَىْءٍ قُدِّمَ وَلاَ أُخِّرَ إِلاَّ قَالَ افْعَلْ وَلاَ حَرَجَ  

Yahya related to me from Malik from Ibn Shihab from clsa ibn Talha that Abdullah ibn Amr ibn al-As said, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ stopped for the people at Mina, and they questioned him and a man came and said to him, 'Messenger of Allah, I was unclear about what to do and I shaved before sacrificing,' and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'Sacrifice, and don't worry.' Then another came to him and said 'Messenger of Allah, I was unclear about what to do and I sacrificed before throwing the stones.' He advised, 'Throw, and don't worry.' " Amr continued, saying that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was not asked about anything done before or after without his saying, "Do it, and don't worry."  

أَنَّهُ قَالَ وَقَفَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ لِلنَّاسِ بِمِنًى وَالنَّاسُ يَسْأَلُونَهُ فَجَاءَهُ رَجُلٌ فَقَالَ لَهُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ لَمْ أَشْعُرْ فَحَلَقْتُ قَبْلَ أَنْ أَنْحَرَ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ انْحَرْ وَلاَ حَرَجَ ثُمَّ جَاءَهُ آخَرُ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ لَمْ أَشْعُرْ فَنَحَرْتُ قَبْلَ أَنْ أَرْمِيَ قَالَ ارْمِ وَلاَ حَرَجَ قَالَ فَمَا سُئِلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ عَنْ شَىْءٍ قُدِّمَ وَلاَ أُخِّرَ إِلاَّ قَالَ افْعَلْ وَلاَ حَرَجَ  

[Machine] I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ standing on his ride in Mina, and a man came to him and said, "O Messenger of Allah, I used to think that shaving the head should be done before slaughtering the animal, so I shaved before slaughtering." The Prophet ﷺ said, "Slaughter, and there is no harm." Then another man came to him and said, "O Messenger of Allah, I used to think that the animal should be slaughtered before stoning, so I slaughtered before stoning." The Prophet ﷺ said, "Stone, and there is no harm." He said, "Whenever someone asked the Prophet ﷺ about something he had already done (in a particular order), he would say, 'Do it, and there is no harm.'"  

رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ وَاقِفًا عَلَى رَاحِلَتِهِ بِمِنًى فَأَتَاهُ رَجُلٌ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنِّي كُنْتُ أُرَى أَنَّ الْحَلْقَ قَبْلَ الذَّبْحِ فَحَلَقْتُ قَبْلَ أَنْ أَذْبَحَ؟ قَالَ اذْبَحْ وَلَا حَرَجَ ثُمَّ جَاءَهُ آخَرُ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنِّي كُنْتُ أُرَى أَنَّ الذَّبْحَ قَبْلَ الرَّمْيِ فَذَبَحْتُ قَبْلَ أَنْ أَرْمِيَ؟ فَقَالَ ارْمِ وَلَا حَرَجَ قَالَ فَمَا سُئِلَ عَنْ شَيْءٍ قَدَّمَهُ رَجُلٌ قَبْلَ شَيْءٍ إِلَّا قَالَ افْعَلْ وَلَا حَرَجَ  

As Messenger of Allah (may peace be'upon him) was standing near the jamra, a person came to him on the Day of Nahr and said: Messenger of Allah, I got (my head shaved) before throwing pebbles, whereupon he (the Holy Prophet) said: Throw pebbles (now) ; there is no harm in it. Another man (then) came and said: I have sacrificed before throwing the stones. He said: Throw stones (now) and there is no harm. Another came to him and said: I have observed the circumambulation of Ifada of the House before throwing pebbles. He said: Throw pebbles (now) ; there is no harm in it, He (the narrator) said: I did not see that he (the Holy Prophet) was asked about anything on that day, but he said: Do, and there is no harm in it. [Machine] I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ standing on his mount in Mina. So, I shaved my head before slaughtering it." The Prophet ﷺ said, "Slaughter it and there is no harm." Then, another man came to him and said, "O Messenger of Allah, I used to think that the slaughter (dhabh) should be done before the stoning of the pillars (ramy). So, I slaughtered before stoning." He ﷺ said, "Stone and there is no harm." `Abd ar-Razzaq said, "Whenever a man asked about something he did before something else, the Prophet ﷺ would say, 'Do it and there is no harm.'" Then, another man came to him and said, "O Messenger of Allah, I used to think that shaving the head (halq) should be done before the stoning of the pillars (ramy). So, I shaved before stoning." A man came to him and said, "O Messenger of Allah, I used to think that shaving the head before sacrificing is better, so I shaved before sacrificing." He replied, "Sacrifice and there is no harm." Then another man came to him and said, "O Messenger of Allah, I used to think that sacrificing should be done before stoning the pillars, so I sacrificed before stoning." He replied, "Stone and there is no harm." Whenever someone asked him about doing something before something else, he would say, "Do it and there is no harm."

He said: "Stone and there is no harm." Whenever someone asked him about doing something before another act, he would say: "Do it and there is no harm."
