The Prophet ﷺ said, "(Allah said), 'Every good deed of Adam's son is for him except fasting; it is for Me. and I shall reward (the fasting person) for it.' Verily, the smell of the mouth of a fasting person is better to Allah than the smell of musk."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ كُلُّ عَمَلِ ابْنِ آدَمَ لَهُ إِلاَّ الصَّوْمَ فَإِنَّهُ لِي وَأَنَا أَجْزِي بِهِ وَلَخَلُوفُ فَمِ الصَّائِمِ أَطْيَبُ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ مِنْ رِيحِ الْمِسْكِ

[Machine] From the Prophet ﷺ, narrating from your Lord, He said: “For every deed there is an expiation; fasting is for Me, and I will reward for it. And the odor from the mouth of the fasting person is more pleasing to Allah than the fragrance of musk.”

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ يَرْوِيهِ عَنْ رَبِّكُمْ قَالَ: «لِكُلِّ عَمَلٍ كَفَّارَةٌ وَالصَّوْمُ لِي وَأَنَا أَجْزِي بِهِ وَلَخَلُوفُ فَمِ الصَّائِمِ أَطْيَبُ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ مِنْ رِيحِ الْمِسْكِ».

Allah, the Exalted and Majestic, said: Fast (is exclusively) meant for Me and I would give its reward. There are two (occasions) of joy for the observer of fast. He feels joy when he breaks the fast and he is happy when he meets Allah. By Allah in Whose Hand is the life of Muhammad, the breath of the observer of fast is sweeter to Allah than the fragrance of musk.

عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ وَأَبِي سَعِيدٍ ؓ قَالاَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ إِنَّ اللَّهَ ﷻ يَقُولُ إِنَّ الصَّوْمَ لِي وَأَنَا أَجْزِي بِهِ إِنَّ لِلصَّائِمِ فَرْحَتَيْنِ إِذَا أَفْطَرَ فَرِحَ وَإِذَا لَقِيَ اللَّهَ فَرِحَ وَالَّذِي نَفْسُ مُحَمَّدٍ بِيَدِهِ لَخُلُوفُ فَمِ الصَّائِمِ أَطْيَبُ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ مِنْ رِيحِ الْمِسْكِ

"The Prophet said: 'Allah, may He be blessed and exalted, says: Fasting is for me I shall reward for it. The fasting person has two moments of joy: When he breaks his fast and when he meets his Lord. By the One in Whose hand is the soul of Muhammad, the smell that comes from the mouth of the fasting person is better before Allah than the fragrance of musk." '

قَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ إِنَّ اللَّهَ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى يَقُولُ الصَّوْمُ لِي وَأَنَا أَجْزِي بِهِ وَلِلصَّائِمِ فَرْحَتَانِ إِذَا أَفْطَرَ فَرِحَ وَإِذَا لَقِيَ اللَّهَ فَجَزَاهُ فَرِحَ وَالَّذِي نَفْسُ مُحَمَّدٍ بِيَدِهِ لَخُلُوفُ فَمِ الصَّائِمِ أَطْيَبُ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ مِنْ رِيحِ الْمِسْكِ

"The Messenger of Allah said: 'Allah, the Mighty and sublime, said: Every deed of the son of Adam is for him, except fasting; it is for me and I shall reward for it. Fasting is a shield. If any one of you is observing a fast, let him not utte obscene a fast, let him not utter obscene talk or raise his voice in anger, and if anyone insults him or wants to fight, let him say: I am a person who is fasting. By the One in Whose hand is the soul of Muhammad, the smell coming from the mouth of the fasting person is better before Allah than the fragrance of musk." ' (Sahih) This Hadith was narrated from Abu Hurairah by Saeed bin Al-Musayyab.

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ اللَّهُ ﷻ كُلُّ عَمَلِ ابْنِ آدَمَ لَهُ إِلاَّ الصِّيَامَ هُوَ لِي وَأَنَا أَجْزِي بِهِ الصِّيَامُ جُنَّةٌ فَإِذَا كَانَ يَوْمُ صَوْمِ أَحَدِكُمْ فَلاَ يَرْفُثْ وَلاَ يَصْخَبْ فَإِنْ شَاتَمَهُ أَحَدٌ أَوْ قَاتَلَهُ فَلْيَقُلْ إِنِّي امْرُؤٌ صَائِمٌ وَالَّذِي نَفْسُ مُحَمَّدٍ بِيَدِهِ لَخُلُوفُ فَمِ الصَّائِمِ أَطْيَبُ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ مِنْ رِيحِ الْمِسْكِ وَقَدْ رَوَى هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ سَعِيدُ بْنُ الْمُسَيَّبِ

"I heard the Messenger of Allah say: 'Allah, the mighty and sublime, said: Every deed of the son of Adam is for him, except fasting; it is for me and I shall reward for it. By the one in whose hand is the soul of Muhmmad, the smell coming from the mouth of the fasting person is better before Allah than the fragrance of musk." '

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ قَالَ اللَّهُ ﷻ كُلُّ عَمَلِ ابْنِ آدَمَ لَهُ إِلاَّ الصِّيَامَ هُوَ لِي وَأَنَا أَجْزِي بِهِ وَالَّذِي نَفْسُ مُحَمَّدٍ بِيَدِهِ لَخِلْفَةُ فَمِ الصَّائِمِ أَطْيَبُ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ مِنْ رِيحِ الْمِسْكِ

"Fasting is a shield against the Fire. Whoever starts the day of fasting, let him not act in an ignorant manner during that day. If anyone treats him in an ignorant maner, let him not insult him or curse him, rather let him say: "I am fasting.' By the One in whole hand is the soul of Muhammad, the smell that comes from the mouth of a fasting person is better before Allah than the fragrance of musk."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ الصِّيَامُ جُنَّةٌ مِنَ النَّارِ فَمَنْ أَصْبَحَ صَائِمًا فَلاَ يَجْهَلْ يَوْمَئِذٍ وَإِنِ امْرُؤٌ جَهِلَ عَلَيْهِ فَلاَ يَشْتِمْهُ وَلاَ يَسُبَّهُ وَلْيَقُلْ إِنِّي صَائِمٌ وَالَّذِي نَفْسُ مُحَمَّدٍ بِيَدِهِ لَخُلُوفُ فَمِ الصَّائِمِ أَطْيَبُ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ مِنْ رِيحِ الْمِسْكِ

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "By the one in whose hand is the soul of Muhammad, the odor of the mouth of a fasting person is more pleasant to Allah than the fragrance of musk."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ وَالَّذِي نَفْسُ مُحَمَّدٍ بِيَدِهِ لَخُلُوفُ فَمِ الصَّائِمِ أَطْيَبُ عِنْدَ اللهِ مِنْ رِيحِ الْمِسْكِ

"The Prophet said: 'Allah, may He be blessed and exalted, says: Fasting is for me I shall reward for it. The fasting person has two moments of joy: When he breaks his fast and when he meets his Lord. By the One in Whose hand is the soul of Muhammad, the smell that comes from the mouth of the fasting person is better before Allah than the fragrance of musk." ' (Using translation from Nasāʾī 2213)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِنَّ اللهَ ﷻ يَقُولُ إِنَّ الصَّوْمَ لِي وَأَنَا أَجْزِي بِهِ إِنَّ لِلصَّائِمِفَرْحَتَيْنِ إِذَا أَفْطَرَ فَرِحَ وَإِذَا لَقِيَ اللهَ فَجَزَاهُ فَرِحَ وَالَّذِي نَفْسُ مُحَمَّدٍ بِيَدِهِ لَخُلُوفُ فَمِ الصَّائِمِ أَطْيَبُ عِنْدَ اللهِ مِنْ رِيحِ الْمِسْكِ

[Machine] And the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "By the One in whose hand is the soul of Muhammad, the breath of the fasting person is sweeter to Allah than the fragrance of musk. The fasting person abstains from their desires, food, and drink for My sake, and I will reward them for it."

وَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ وَالَّذِي نَفْسُ مُحَمَّدٍ بِيَدِهِ لَخُلُوفُ فَمِ الصَّائِمِ أَطْيَبُ عِنْدَ اللهِ مِنْ رِيحِ الْمِسْكِ يَذَرُ شَهْوَتَهُ وَطَعَامَهُ وَشَرَابَهُ مِنْ جَرَّايَ فَالصِّيَامُ لِي وَأَنَا أَجْزِي بِهِ

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "By the One in whose hand is the soul of Muhammad, the breath of the fasting person is more pleasant to Allah than the scent of musk."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ وَالَّذِي نَفْسُ مُحَمَّدٍ بِيَدِهِ لَخُلُوفُ فَمِ الصَّائِمِ أَطْيَبُ عِنْدَ اللهِ مِنْ رِيحِ الْمِسْكِ

"The Prophet said: 'Allah, may He be blessed and exalted, says: Fasting is for me I shall reward for it. The fasting person has two moments of joy: When he breaks his fast and when he meets his Lord. By the One in Whose hand is the soul of Muhammad, the smell that comes from the mouth of the fasting person is better before Allah than the fragrance of musk." ' (Using translation from Nasāʾī 2213)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِنَّ اللهَ يَقُولُ إِنَّ الصَّوْمَ لِي وَأَنَا أَجْزِي بِهِ إِنَّ لِلصَّائِمِ فَرْحَتَيْنِإِذَا أَفْطَرَ فَرِحَ وَإِذَا لَقِيَ اللهَ فَجَزَاهُ فَرِحَ وَالَّذِي نَفْسُ مُحَمَّدٍ بِيَدِهِ لَخُلُوفُ فَمِ الصَّائِمِ أَطْيَبُ عِنْدَ اللهِ مِنْ رِيحِ الْمِسْكِ

"I heard the Messenger of Allah say: 'Allah, the mighty and sublime, said: Every deed of the son of Adam is for him, except fasting; it is for me and I shall reward for it. By the one in whose hand is the soul of Muhmmad, the smell coming from the mouth of the fasting person is better before Allah than the fragrance of musk." ' (Using translation from Nasāʾī 2218)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ اللهُ ﷻكُلُّ عَمَلِ ابْنِ آدَمَ لَهُ إِلَّا الصِّيَامَ الصِّيَامُ لِي وَأَنَا أَجْزِي بِهِ وَلَخُلُوفُ فَمِ الصَّائِمِ أَطْيَبُ عِنْدَ اللهِ مِنْ رِيحِ الْمِسْكِ

The Prophet ﷺ said that your Lord said, "Every (sinful) deed can be expiated; and the fast is for Me, so I will give the reward for it; and the smell which comes out of the mouth of a fasting person, is better in Allah's Sight than the smell of musk." (See Hadith No. 584) (Using translation from Bukhārī 7538)

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ يَرْوِيهِ عَنْ رَبِّكُمْ ﷻ كُلُّ الْعَمَلِ كَفَّارَةٌ وَالصَّوْمُ لِي وَأَنَا أَجْزِي بِهِ وَلَخُلُوفُ فَمِ الصَّائِمِ أَطْيَبُ عِنْدَ اللهِ مِنْ رِيحِ الْمِسْكِ

[Machine] "Narrated by the Prophet ﷺ that Allah says, 'Fasting is for Me and I alone reward for it. The smell from the mouth of a fasting person is more pleasant to Allah than the fragrance of musk.'"

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّهُ قَالَ يَعْنِي اللهَ يَقُولُ اللهُ ﷻ الصَّوْمُ هُوَ لِي وَأَنَا أَجْزِي بِهِ وَلَخُلُوفُ فَمِ الصَّائِمِ أَطْيَبُ عِنْدَ اللهِ مِنْ رِيحِ الْمِسْكِ

"The Messenger of Allah said: '(Allah says) Every deed of the son of Adam is for him, except fasting; it is for me and I shall reward for it. Fasting is a shield. If any one of you is fasting, let him no utter obscene talk or raise his voice in anger, and if anyone insults him or wants to fight, let him say: I am fasting. By the One in whose hand is the soul of Muhammad, the smell coming from the mouth of the fasting person is better before Allah than the fragrance of musk. The fasting person has two moments of joy: When he breaks his fast he rejoices at breaking his fast and when he meets his Lord, the Mighty and Sublime, he will rejoice at having fasted." ' (Using translation from Nasāʾī 2216)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ كُلُّ عَمَلِ ابْنِ آدَمَ لَهُ إِلَّا الصِّيَامَ فَهُوَ لِي وَأَنَا أَجْزِي بِهِ وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ لَخُلُوفُ فَمِ الصَّائِمِ أَطْيَبُ عِنْدَ اللهِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ مِنْ رِيحِ الْمِسْكِ وَالصِّيَامُ جُنَّةٌ وَلِلصَّائِمِ فَرْحَتَانِ يَفْرَحُهُمَا إِذَا أَفْطَرَ فَرِحَ بِفِطْرِهِ وَإِذَا لَقِيَ رَبَّهُ ﷻ فَرِحَ بِصَوْمِهِ

"Allah, may He be exalted, said: 'Fasting is for me and I shall reward for it. The fasting person has two moments of joy: When he breaks his fast and when he meets his Lord. And the smell that comes from the mouth of the fasting person is better before Allah than the fragrance of musk."' ' (Using translation from Nasāʾī 2212)

اللهُ ﷻ الصَّوْمُ لِي وَأَنَا أَجْزِي بِهِ وَلِلصَّائِمِ فَرْحَتَانِ؛ فَرْحَةٌ حِينَ يُفْطِرُ وَفَرْحَةٌ حِينَ يَلْقَى رَبَّهُ وَلَخُلُوفُ فَمِ الصَّائِمِ أَطْيَبُ عِنْدَ اللهِ مِنْ رِيحِ الْمِسْكِ

"Allah, may He be blessed and exalted, says: 'Fasting is for me and I shall reward for it. The fasting person has two moments of joy: When he breaks his fast and when he meets his Lord.' By the One in whose hand is my soul, the smell that comes from the mouth of the fasting person is better before Allah than the fragrance of musk." ' (Using translation from Nasāʾī 2211)

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ إِنَّ اللهَ يَقُولُ الصَّوْمُ لِي وَأَنَا أَجْزِي بِهِ وَلِلصَّائِمِ فَرْحَتَانِ حِينَ يُفْطِرُ وَحِينَ يَلْقَى رَبَّهُ وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ لَخُلُوفُ فَمِ الصَّائِمِ أَطْيَبُ عِنْدَ اللهِ مِنْ رِيحِ الْمِسْكِ

"The Prophet said: 'Allah, may He be blessed and exalted, says: Fasting is for me I shall reward for it. The fasting person has two moments of joy: When he breaks his fast and when he meets his Lord. By the One in Whose hand is the soul of Muhammad, the smell that comes from the mouth of the fasting person is better before Allah than the fragrance of musk." ' (Using translation from Nasāʾī 2213)

"(Allah says) fasting is for me and I shall reward for it. The fasting person rejoices twice: when he breaks his fast and the day when he meets his Lord. And the smell that come from the mouth of the fasting person is better before Allah than the fragrance of musk." ' (Using translation from Nasāʾī 2214)

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ قَالَ اللهُ الصِّيَامُ لِي وَأَنَا أَجْزِي بِهِ وَالصَّائِمُ يُفْرَحُ مَرَّتَيْنِ عِنْدَ فِطْرِهِ وَيَوْمَ يَلْقَى اللهَ وَلَخُلُوفُ فَمِ الصَّائِمِ أَطْيَبُ عِنْدَ اللهِ مِنْ رِيحِ الْمِسْكِ

Allah, the Majestic and the Exalted, said: Every act of the son of Adam is for him except fasting. It is done for My sake, and I will give a reward for it. By Allah in Whose Hand is the life of Muhammad, the breath of the observer of fast is sweeter to Allah than the fragrance of musk. (Using translation from Muslim 1151b)

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "By Him in whose hand is the soul of Muhammad, the breath of the fasting person is more pleasing to Allah than the scent of musk."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «وَالَّذِي نَفْسُ مُحَمَّدٍ بِيَدِهِ لَخُلُوفُ فَمِ الصَّائِمِ أَطْيَبُ عِنْدَ اللهِ مِنْ رِيحِ الْمِسْكِ»

[Machine] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, "Allah ﷻ says: Every action of the son of Adam is for himself except for fasting, it is for Me and I am the one who rewards it. By the One in whose hand is the soul of Muhammad, the breath of the one who fasts is more pleasant to Allah ﷻ than the fragrance of musk."

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ يَقُولُ اللهُ ﷻ كُلُّ عَمَلِ ابْنِ آدَمَ هُوَ لَهُ إِلَّا الصَّوْمَ هُوَ لِي وَأَنَا أَجْزِي بِهِ وَالَّذِي نَفْسُ مُحَمَّدٍ بِيَدِهِ لَخُلُوفُ فَمِ الصَّائِمِ أَطْيَبُ عِنْدَ اللهِ مِنْ رِيحِ الْمِسْكِ

عَلَيه وَسَلَّم يرويه عن ربه قال تبارك وتعالى كل عمل ابن آدم له إلاَّ الصوم لي وَأنا أجزي به ولخلوف فم الصائم أطيب عند الله من ريح المسك

اللَّهُ عَلَيه وَسَلَّم قال قال الله تبارك وتعالى الصوم لي وَأنا أجزي به ولخلوف فم الصائم أطيب عند الله من ريح المسك

اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قال لخلوف فم الصائم أطيب عند الله من ريح المسك وللصائم فرحتان فرحة عند فطره وفرحة حين يلقى ربه وكل عمل ابن آدم له إلا الصوم فإنه لي وأنا أجزي به

Allah, the Exalted and Majestic, said: Fast (is exclusively) meant for Me and I would give its reward. There are two (occasions) of joy for the observer of fast. He feels joy when he breaks the fast and he is happy when he meets Allah. By Allah in Whose Hand is the life of Muhammad, the breath of the observer of fast is sweeter to Allah than the fragrance of musk. (Using translation from Muslim 1151f)

"إِنَّ الله ﷻ يقولُ إِنَّ: الصومَ لِيَ، وَأنَا أجْزِى بِهِ. إِن

لِلصائم فَرْحَتَين إِذَا أفْطَرَ فَرِحَ، وَإذا لَقِيَ الله فجزاهُ فَرحَ، والذي نَفْسُ مُحَمدٍ بِيَدِهِ لَخُلُوفُ فَم الصائِم أطيَبُ عِنْدَ الله مِنْ ريحِ المِسْكِ".

"كُلُّ عَمَلِ ابْنِ آدَمَ لَه إلا الصِّيامَ، وَالصِّيامُ (* *) لي وَأَنَا أَجزى به، وَلَخُلُوفُ فَم الصَّائِم أطيَبُ عِنْدَ الله مِن رِيح الْمِسْكِ".

"قَال اللهُ ﷻ كُل عَمَلِ ابْن آدَمَ هُوَ لَهُ إلَّا الصومَ، هوَ لِي وأنا أجْزِى بِهِ، ولِلصَائِم فرحَتَانِ، فرحَةٌ حينَ يُمطرُ، وَفرحَةٌ حينَ يَلقَى رَبَهُ، ولخلوف فَم الصائِم أطيبُ عَندَ اللهِ مِنْ رَيح المِسْكِ".

"وَالَّذِي نَفْسُ مُحَمَّد بِيَدهِ لَخُلوفُ فَم الصَّائِم أَطيَبُ عِنْدَ اللهِ مِن ريِح المِسْكِ".

"عن علىٍّ عنِ النبىِّ ﷺ قَالَ: إِنَّ الله يَقُولُ: الصَّوْمُ لِى وَأَنَا أَجْزِى بِهِ، وَللصَّائِمِ فَرْحَتَانِ عِنْدَ الْفِطْرِ، وَحِينَ يَلْقَى رَبَّهُ - ﷻ - وَالَّذِى نَفْسُ مُحَمَّدٍ بِيَدِهِ لَخَلُوفُ فَمِ الصَّائِمِ أَطْيَبُ عِنْدَ الله مِنْ رِيحِ الْمِسْكِ".
