[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said, "Do not curse while you are fasting. If someone curses you, say: 'I am fasting.' And if you are standing, then sit down. By the One in Whose hand is the soul of Muhammad, the breath of the fasting person is more fragrant to Allah than the scent of musk."  

أحمد:١٠٥٦٤ – حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ وَأَبُو عَامَرٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ عَنِ عَجْلَانَ مَوْلَى الْمُشْمَعِلِّ وَقَالَ أَبُو عَامَرٍ مَوْلَى حَكِيمٍ وَقَالَ أَبُو أَحْمَدَ الزُّبَيْرِيُّ مَوْلَى حَمَاسٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ لَا تَسَابَّ وَأَنْتَ صَائِمٌفَإِنْ سَبَّكَ أَحَدٌ فَقُلْ إِنِّي صَائِمٌ وَإِنْ كُنْتَ قَائِمًا فَاقْعُدْ وَالَّذِي نَفْسُ مُحَمَّدٍ بِيَدِهِ لَخُلُوفُ فَمِ الصَّائِمِ أَطْيَبُ عِنْدَ اللهِ مِنْ رِيحِ الْمِسْكِ

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "By the one in whose hand is the soul of Muhammad, the odor of the mouth of a fasting person is more pleasant to Allah than the fragrance of musk."  

أحمد:٢٦٠٣٥ – حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ بُرْدٍ عَنْ أُمِّ سَالِمٍ الرَّاسِبِيَّةِ قَالَتْ سَمِعْتُ عَائِشَةَ تَقُولُ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ وَالَّذِي نَفْسُ مُحَمَّدٍ بِيَدِهِ لَخُلُوفُ فَمِ الصَّائِمِ أَطْيَبُ عِنْدَ اللهِ مِنْ رِيحِ الْمِسْكِ  

ذِكْرُ الْخَبَرِ الدَّالِّ عَلَى أَنَّ قَوْلَ الصَّائِمِ لِمَنْ جَهِلَ عَلَيْهِ: إِنِّي صَائِمٌ، إِنَّمَا أُمِرَ أَنْ يَقُولَ بِقَلْبِهِ دُونَ النُّطْقِ بِهِ

ibnhibban:3483 – Ibn Khuzaymah > Muḥammad b. Bashhār > ʿUthmān b. ʿUmar > Ibn Abū Dhiʾb > ʿAjlān a freed slave of al-Mushmaʿil > Abū Hurayrah

[Machine] On the authority of the Prophet ﷺ, he said, "Do not insult others while you are fasting. And if someone insults you, say, 'I am fasting.' And if you are standing, then sit down."  

ابن حبّان:٣٤٨٣ – أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ خُزَيْمَةَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عُمَرَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ عَنْ عَجْلَانَ مَوْلَى الْمُشْمَعِلِّ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «لَا تَسَابَّ وَأَنْتَ صَائِمٌ وَإِنْ سَابَّكَ أَحَدٌ فَقُلْ إِنِّي صَائِمٌ وَإِنْ كُنْتَ قَائِمًا فَاجْلِسْ»  

nasai-kubra:3245 – Muḥammad b. Yazīd > Maʿn > Khārijah b. Sulaymān > Yazīd b. Rūmān > ʿUrwah > ʿĀʾishah

"Fasting is a shield against the Fire. Whoever starts the day of fasting, let him not act in an ignorant manner during that day. If anyone treats him in an ignorant maner, let him not insult him or curse him, rather let him say: "I am fasting.' By the One in whole hand is the soul of Muhammad, the smell that comes from the mouth of a fasting person is better before Allah than the fragrance of musk." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 2234)  

الكبرى للنسائي:٣٢٤٥ – أَخْبَرَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مَعْنٌ عَنْ خَارِجَةَ بْنِ سُلَيْمَانَ عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ رُومَانَ عَنْ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «الصِّيَامُ جُنَّةٌ مِنَ النَّارِ فَمَنْ أَصْبَحَ صَائِمًا فَلَا يَجْهَلْ يَوْمَئِذٍ وَإِنْ جَهِلَ عَلَيْهِ فَلَا يَشْتُمْهُ وَلَا يَسُبَّهُ وَلْيَقُلْ إِنِّي صَائِمٌ وَالَّذِي نَفْسُ مُحَمَّدٍ بِيَدِهِ لَخُلُوفُ فَمِ الصَّائِمِ أَطْيَبُ عِنْدِ اللهِ مِنْ رِيحِ الْمِسْكِ»  

nasai-kubra:3246 – Muḥammad b. Ḥātim > Ḥibbān > ʿAbdullāh > Ibn Abū Dhiʾb > ʿAjlān > Abū Hurayrah

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ لَا تَسْتَابَّ وَأَنْتَ صَائِمٌ فَإِنْ سَبَّكَ أَحَدٌ فَقُلْ إِنِّي صَائِمٌ وَإِنْ كُنْتَ قَائِمًا فَاجْلِسْ
