I came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ at the place of halting, that is, al-Muzdalifah. I said: I have come from the mountains of Tayy. I fatigued my mount and fatigued myself. By Allah, I found no hill (on my way) but I halted there. Have I completed my hajj? The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Anyone who offers this prayer along with us and comes over to Arafat before it by night or day will complete his hajj and he may wash away the dirt (of his body).

أَتَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ بِالْمَوْقِفِ يَعْنِي بِجَمْعٍ قُلْتُ جِئْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ مِنْ جَبَلِ طَيِّئٍ أَكْلَلْتُ مَطِيَّتِي وَأَتْعَبْتُ نَفْسِي وَاللَّهِ مَا تَرَكْتُ مِنْ جَبَلٍ إِلاَّ وَقَفْتُ عَلَيْهِ فَهَلْ لِي مِنْ حَجٍّ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ مَنْ أَدْرَكَ مَعَنَا هَذِهِ الصَّلاَةَ وَأَتَى عَرَفَاتٍ قَبْلَ ذَلِكَ لَيْلاً أَوْ نَهَارًا فَقَدْ تَمَّ حَجُّهُ وَقَضَى تَفَثَهُ

"I came to the Messenger of Allah at Al-Muzdalifah when he left for the Salat. I said: 'O Messenger of Allah! I came from the two mountains of (the tribe of) Tai, wearing out my mount and exhausting myself. By Allah! I did not leave a Habl (sand dune) without stopping on it. So is there Hajj for me?' The Messenger of Allah said: 'Whoever attends this Salat of ours, and stays here with us until departing, while he has stood during the night or the day before that at Arafat, then he has completed his Hajj and fulfilled his Tafath.'"

أَتَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ بِالْمُزْدَلِفَةِ حِينَ خَرَجَ إِلَى الصَّلاَةِ فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنِّي جِئْتُ مِنْ جَبَلَىْ طَيِّئٍ أَكْلَلْتُ رَاحِلَتِي وَأَتْعَبْتُ نَفْسِي وَاللَّهِ مَا تَرَكْتُ مِنْ حَبْلٍ إِلاَّ وَقَفْتُ عَلَيْهِ فَهَلْ لِي مِنْ حَجٍّ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ مَنْ شَهِدَ صَلاَتَنَا هَذِهِ وَوَقَفَ مَعَنَا حَتَّى نَدْفَعَ وَقَدْ وَقَفَ بِعَرَفَةَ قَبْلَ ذَلِكَ لَيْلاً أَوْ نَهَارًا فَقَدْ أَتَمَّ حَجَّهُ وَقَضَى تَفَثَهُ

"I came to the Prohet in Jam (Al-Muzdalifah) and said: 'O Messenger of Allah, I have come from the two mountains of Tai and I did not leave any mountain but I stood on it; is there Hajj for me?' The Messenger of Allah said: 'Whoever offers this prayer with us, and stood before that in Arafatat by night or by day, his Hajj is complete, and he has completed the prescribed duties.'"

"I came to the Prophet in Jam (Al-Muzdalifah) and said: 'Is there Hajj for me?' He said: 'Whoever offers this prayer with us and observed this standing until he departed, and he departed before that from Arafat by night or by day, then his Hajj is complete. And he has completed the prescribed duties.'"

أَتَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ بِجَمْعٍ فَقُلْتُ هَلْ لِي مِنْ حَجٍّ فَقَالَ مَنْ صَلَّى هَذِهِ الصَّلاَةَ مَعَنَا وَوَقَفَ هَذَا الْمَوْقِفَ حَتَّى يُفِيضَ وَأَفَاضَ قَبْلَ ذَلِكَ مِنْ عَرَفَاتٍ لَيْلاً أَوْ نَهَارًا فَقَدْ تَمَّ حَجُّهُ وَقَضَى تَفَثَهُ

"I came to the Messenger of Allah and said: "I have come to you from the two mountains of Tai and I have exhausted my camel, and exhausted myself; is there Hajj for me?' He said: 'Whoever offeres this morning prayer with us here, and came to Arafat before that, then he has completed the prescribed duties and his Hajj is complete.'"

أَتَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَقُلْتُ أَتَيْتُكَ مِنْ جَبَلَىْ طَيِّئٍ أَكْلَلْتُ مَطِيَّتِي وَأَتْعَبْتُ نَفْسِي مَا بَقِيَ مِنْ حَبْلٍ إِلاَّ وَقَفْتُ عَلَيْهِ فَهَلْ لِي مِنْ حَجٍّ فَقَالَ مَنْ صَلَّى صَلاَةَ الْغَدَاةِ هَا هُنَا مَعَنَا وَقَدْ أَتَى عَرَفَةَ قَبْلَ ذَلِكَ فَقَدْ قَضَى تَفَثَهُ وَتَمَّ حَجُّهُ

“I came to the Prophet ﷺ and said: ‘O Messenger of Allah, I have made my camel lean (because of the long journey) and I have worn myself out. By Allah, there is no sand hill on which I did not stand. Have I performed Hajj?’ The Prophet ﷺ said: ‘Whoever attended the prayer (i.e., Fajr at Muzdalifah) with us and departed from ‘Arafat, by night or day, may remove the dirt and has completed his Hajj.’”

جَاءَ رَجُلٌ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ بِالْمَوْقِفِ عَلَى رُءُوسِ النَّاسِ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ جِئْتُ مِنْ جَبَلِ طَيِّىءٍ أَكْلَلْتُ مَطِيَّتِي وَأَتْعَبْتُ نَفْسِي وَاللَّهِ إِنْ بَقِيَ جَبَلٌ إِلَّا وَقَفْتُ عَلَيْهِ فَهَلْ لِي حَجٍّ؟ قَالَ «مَنْ شَهِدَ مَعَنَا هَذِهِ الصَّلَاةَ وَقَدْ أَتَى عَرَفَاتٍ قَبْلَ ذَلِكَ لَيْلًا أَوْ نَهَارًا فَقَدْ قَضَى تَفَثَهُ وَتَمَّ حَجُّهُ»

[AI] I came to the Prophet ﷺ while he was in a gathering, and I said, "O Messenger of Allah, I came to you from the mountains of Tayy and exhausted myself and tired my ride. By Allah, I left no hill without climbing it. Do I have a Hajj?" He replied, "Whoever witnesses this prayer with us," meaning the Fajr prayer in congregation, "and stays with us until we pour water on our hands, and he has already poured water on his hands from 'Arafat, whether it be at night or during the day, then his Hajj is complete and he has fulfilled its obligations."

أَتَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ وَهُوَ بِجَمْعٍ فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ جِئْتُكَ مِنْ جَبَلَيْ طَيِّئٍ أَتْعَبْتُ نَفْسِي وَأَنْضَيْتُ رَاحِلَتِي وَاللهِ مَا تَرَكْتُ مِنْ حَبلٍ إِلَّا وَقَفْتُ عَلَيْهِ فَهَلْ لِي مِنْ حَجٍّ؟ فَقَالَ مَنْ شَهِدَ مَعَنَا هَذِهِ الصَّلَاةَ يَعْنِي صَلَاةَ الْفَجْرِ بِجَمْعٍ وَوَقَفَ مَعَنَا حَتَّى نُفِيضَ مِنْهُ وَقَدْ أَفَاضَ قَبْلَ ذَلِكَ مِنْ عَرَفَاتٍ لَيْلًا أَوْ نَهَارًا فَقَدْ تَمَّ حَجُّهُ وَقَضَى تَفَثَهُ

[AI] He performed Hajj during the time of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and people only caught up with him at night while he was in a state of ihram. He then set off to Arafat and stayed there until the time for leaving, and then he came to Muzdalifah. He said, "O Messenger of Allah, I have exhausted myself and worn out my mount, do I have any Hajj?" He said, "Whoever prays Fajr with us in congregation and stays with us until we depart and has left Arafat before that, either at night or during the day, his Hajj is complete and his Tawaf is valid."

He then set out for Arafat at night and overflowed from it, then returned to the gathering and came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said, "I have performed Tawaf and made my animal sacrifice, so do I have the duty of Hajj?" The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever prays Fajr with us in congregation, stays with us until we have left Arafat and has already overflowed from Arafat before that, either at night or during the day, then he has completed his Hajj and fulfilled his obligation."

أَنَّه حَجَّ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَلَم يُدْرِكِ النَّاسَ إِلَّا لَيْلًا وَهُم بِجَمْعٍ فَانْطَلَقَ إِلَى عَرَفَاتٍ لَيْلًا فَأَفَاضَ مِنْهَا ثُمّ رَجَعَ إِلَى جَمْعٍ فَأَتَى رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ أَعْمَلْتُ نَفْسِي وَأَنْصَبْتُ رَاحِلَتِي فَهَل لِي مِن حَجٍّ؟ فَقَالَ «مَنْ صَلَّى مَعَنَا صَلَاةَ الْغَدَاةِ بِجَمْعٍ وَوَقَفَ مَعَنَا حَتَّى نُفِيضَ وَقَدْ أَفَاضَ مِن عَرَفَاتٍ قَبْلَ ذَلِك لَيْلًا أَو نَهَارًا فَقَدْ تَمَّ وَقَضَى تَفَثَهُ»

[AI] I heard Urwah ibn Mudarris ibn Harithah ibn Lamah saying, "I came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ with the Muzdalifah. I said, 'O Messenger of Allah, I came to you after passing by the mountains of Tayyi' and I have tied my camel and exhausted myself. Can I perform Hajj?' سَمِعْتُ عُرْوَةَ بْنَ مُضَرِّسِ بْنِ حَارِثَةَ بْنِ لَامَ يَقُولُ أَتَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ بِالْمُزْدَلِفَةِ فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ أَتَيْتُكَ السَّاعَةَ مِن جَبَلَيْ طَيِّئٍ وَقَدْ أَكْلَلْتُ رَاحِلَتِي وَأَتْعَبْتُ نَفْسِي فَهَل لِي مِن حَجٍّ؟ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «مَنْ شَهِدَ مَعَنَا هَذِه الصَّلَاةَ وَوَقَفَ مَعَنَا حَتَّى نُفِيضَ وَقَدْ كَانَ وَقَفَ ذَلِك بِعَرَفَةَ لَيْلًا أَو نَهَارًا فَقَدْ تَمَّ حَجُّهُ وَقَضَى تَفَثَهُ»

سَمِعْتُ عُرْوَةَ بْنَ مُضَرِّسِ بْنِ أَوْسِ بْنِ حَارِثَةَ بْنِ لَامَ الطَّائِيَّ يَقُولُ أَتَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ بِالْمُزْدَلِفَةِ فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ جِئْتُ مِن جَبَلَيْ طَيِّئٍ وَاللهِ مَا جِئْتُ حَتَّى أَتْعَبْتُ نَفْسِي فَأَكْلَلْتُ رَاحِلَتِي فَمَا نَزَلَتُ جِبَالًا إِلَّا وَقَفْتُ عَلَيْهِ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «مَنْ شَهِدَ مَعَنَا هَذِه الصَّلَاةَ وَقَدْ كَان وَقَفَ بِعَرَفَةَ قَبْلَ ذَلِك لَيْلًا أَو نَهَارًا فَقَدْ تَمَّ حَجُّهُ وَقَضَى تَفَثَهُ»

[AI] I came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in a gathering and said, "O Messenger of Allah, I came to you from the mountain of Tayy, with my mount worn out and myself exhausted. By Allah, I have not descended from a mountain except that I stood upon it. Do I have any reward for Hajj, O Messenger of Allah?" The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever performs the morning prayer with us on the day of Arafat, having arrived at Arafat before that, whether at night or during the day, has completed his Hajj and fulfilled its obligations."

أَتَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ فِي الْمَوْقِفِ مِن جَمْعٍ فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ جِئْتُكَ مِن جَبَلِ طَيِّئٍ أنْصَبْتُ مَطِيَّتِي وَأتْعَبْتُ نَفْسِي وَاللهِ إنْ نَزَلَتُ مِن جَبَلٍ إِلَّا وَقَفْتُ عَلَيْه فَهَلْ لِي مِن حَجٍّ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ؟ فَقَال َرَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «مَنْ صَلَّى مَعَنَا الْغَدَاةَ بِجَمْعٍ وَقَدْ أَتَى عَرَفَاتٍ قَبْلَ ذَلِك لَيْلًا أَو نَهَارًا فَقَدْ قَضَى تَفَثَهُ وَتَمَّ حَجُّهُ»

[AI] I came to the Prophet ﷺ while he was standing in a gathering, so I said, "O Messenger of Allah, I have come from Jabal Tayy and I have weakened my camel, and I have exhausted myself. By Allah, I have not descended from any mountain except that I stood upon it. Do I have any right to perform Hajj?" The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever joins us in this prayer and has already been to 'Arafat, whether during the night or during the day, has fulfilled his obligations and completed his Hajj."

أَتَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ وَهُو وَاقِفٌ بِجَمْعٍ فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ أَقْبَلَتُ مِن جَبَلِ طَيِّئٍ وَأَذْلَلْتُ مَطِيَّتِي وَأَتْعَبْتُ نَفْسِي وَاللهِ مَا نَزَلَتُ مِن جَبَلٍ إِلَّا وَقَفْتُ عَلَيْهِ فَهَل لِي مِن حَجٍّ؟ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «مَنْ أَدْرَكَ مَعَنَا هَذِه الصَّلَاةَ وَقَدْ أَتَى عَرَفَاتٍ قَبْلَ ذَلِك لَيْلًا أَو نَهَارًا فَقَدْ قَضَى تَفَثَهُ وَتَمَّ حَجُّهُ»

[AI] I came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ while he was in the gathering and said, "O Messenger of Allah, I have come from the valley of Tayyin, and I have exhausted myself and my riding animal. By Allah, I have not descended a mountain except that I have stood on it. Do I have a valid Hajj, O Messenger of Allah?" The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever prays this prayer with us and has come to Arafat at night or during the day has fulfilled his obligations and completed his Hajj."

أَتَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ وَهُو بِالْمَوْقِفِ بِجَمْعٍ فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ أَقْبَلَتُ مِن جَبَلَيْ طَيِّئٍ فَأَكْلَلْتُ نَفْسِي وَأَتْعَبْتُ رَاحِلَتِي وَاللهِ مَا نَزَلْتُ جَبَلًا إِلَّا وَقَدْ وَقَفْتُ عَلَيْه فَهَل لِي مِن حَجٍّ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ؟ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «مَنْ صَلَّى مَعَنَا هَذِه الصَّلَاةَ وَقَدْ أَتَى عَرَفَةَ لَيْلًا أَو نَهَارًا فَقَدْ قَضَى تَفَثَهُ وَتَمّ حَجُّهُ»

[AI] "I came to the Messenger of Allah while he was in a gathering and the people around him. I said, 'O Messenger of Allah, I am a man from the outskirts of the two mountains, and I have already prepared my riding animal. By Allah, I did not come down from the mountain except that I stood on it. Do I have a Hajj, O Messenger of Allah?' The Prophet ﷺ said, 'Whoever witnesses this prayer with us has completed his Hajj and fulfilled his obligations.'"

أَتَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ وَهُو بِجَمْعٍ وَالنَّاسُ حَوْلَهُ فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إنِّي امْرُؤٌ مِنْ طَيِّئِ الْجَبَلَيْنِ وَإِنِّي قَدْ أَذْلَلْتُ رَاحِلَتِي وَاللهِ مَا نَزَلُتُ جَبَلًا وَقَفْتُمْ بِهِ إِلَّا وَقَفْتُ عَلَيْه فَهَل لِي مِن حَجٍّ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ؟ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «مَنْ شَهِدَ مَعَنَا هَذِه الصَّلَاةَ فَقَدْ تَمّ حَجُّهُ وَقَضَى تَفَثَهُ»

[AI] I came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ with a group and I said, "O Messenger of Allah, I have come from the mountains of Tayy, I have not left any mountain without standing on it, do I have a Hajj?" He said, "Whoever prays this prayer with us and has completed Arafah at night or during the day, then his Hajj is complete and he has fulfilled his obligations."

أَتَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ بِجَمْعٍ فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إنِّي جِئْتُ مِن جَبَلَيْ طَيِّئٍ لَم أَدَعْ جَبَلًا إِلَّا قَدْ وَقَفْتُ عَلَيْه فَهَل لِي مِن حَجٍّ؟ فَقَالَ «مَنْ صَلَّى هَذِه الصَّلَاةَ مَعَنَا وَقَدْ أَفَاضَ مِن عَرَفَةَ لَيْلًا أَو نَهَارًا فَقَدْ تَمّ حَجُّهُ وَقَضَى تَفَثَهُ»

"I came to the Prophet in Jam (Al-Muzdalifah) and said: 'Is there Hajj for me?' He said: 'Whoever offers this prayer with us and observed this standing until he departed, and he departed before that from Arafat by night or by day, then his Hajj is complete. And he has completed the prescribed duties.'" (Using translation from Nasāʾī 3042)

أَتَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ بِجَمْعٍ فَقُلْتُ هَلْ لِي مِنْ حَجٍّ؟ فَقَالَ «مَنْ صَلَّى هَذِهِ الصَّلَاةَ مَعَنَا وَوَقَفَ هَذَا الْمَوْقِفَ حَتَّى يُفِيضَ وَأَفَاضَ قَبْلَ ذَلِكَ مِنْ عَرَفَاتٍ لَيْلًا أَوْ نَهَارًا فَقَدْ تَمَّ حَجُّهُ وَقَضَى تَفَثَهُ»

"I came to the Prohet in Jam (Al-Muzdalifah) and said: 'O Messenger of Allah, I have come from the two mountains of Tai and I did not leave any mountain but I stood on it; is there Hajj for me?' The Messenger of Allah said: 'Whoever offers this prayer with us, and stood before that in Arafatat by night or by day, his Hajj is complete, and he has completed the prescribed duties.'" "I came to the Messenger of Allah and said: "I have come to you from the two mountains of Tai and I have exhausted my camel, and exhausted myself; is there Hajj for me?' He said: 'Whoever offeres this morning prayer with us here, and came to Arafat before that, then he has completed the prescribed duties and his Hajj is complete.'" أَتَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ فَقُلْتُ أَتَيْتُكَ مِنْ جَبَلَيْ طَيِّئٍ أَكْلَلْتُ مَطِيَّتِي وَأَتْعَبْتُ نَفْسِي وَاللهِ مَا بَقِيَ مِنْ جَبَلٍ إِلَّا وَقَفْتُ عَلَيْهِ فَهَلْ لِي مِنْ حَجٍّ قَالَ «مَنْ صَلَّى الْغَدَاةَ هَاهُنَا مَعَنَا وَقَدْ أَتَى عَرَفَةَ قَبْلَ ذَلِكَ فَقَدْ قَضَى تَفَثَهُ وَتَمَّ حَجُّهُ»

[AI] He (referring to someone) performed Hajj during the time of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. He caught up with the people while they were in a gathering, so he set off towards 'Arafat at night. He camped there for a while and then returned to the gathering. He came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said, "O Messenger of Allah, I have exhausted myself and exerted my mount. Do I have a Hajj?" The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever prays Fajr with us and stays with us until we pour our water in 'Arafat, and he has reached 'Arafat before that, either at night or during the day, then his Hajj is complete and his obligations are fulfilled."

أَنَّهُ حَجَّ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَأَدْرَكَ النَّاسَ وَهُمْ بِجَمْعٍ فَانْطَلَقَ إِلَى عَرَفَاتٍ لَيْلًا فَأَفَاضَ مِنْهَا ثُمَّ رَجَعَ إِلَى جَمْعٍ فَأَتَى رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ أَتْعَبْتُ نَفْسِي وَأَنْصَبْتُ رَاحِلَتِي فَهَلْ لِي مِنْ حَجٍّ؟ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مَنْ صَلَّى مَعَنَا صَلَاةَ الْغَدَاةِ وَوَقَفَ مَعَنَا حَتَّى نُفِيضَ وَقَدْ أَتَى عَرَفَاتٍ قَبْلَ ذَلِكَ لَيْلًا أَوْ نَهَارًا فَقَدْ تَمَّ حَجُّهُ وَقَضَى تَفَثَهُ
