[Machine] A shepherd was grazing his flock in the pasture when a wolf attacked one of the sheep. The shepherd stood between the wolf and the sheep, and the wolf cowered with its tail between its legs. The wolf spoke to the shepherd, saying, "O Abdullah, are you standing in the way of my sustenance that Allah has provided for me?" The man marveled at the fact that a wolf was speaking to him like a human. The wolf then said, "Shall I tell you something even more amazing? The Messenger of Allah ﷺ is standing between the two pastures, informing the people about what has happened before." The shepherd led his flock to a corner of the city, and then he went to the Prophet ﷺ and informed him of the incident. The Prophet ﷺ went out to the people and said, "By the One in Whose Hand is my soul, he has spoken the truth."

[Machine] On the authority of Nu'bayth bin Sharit, on the authority of Hudayfah, he said: "Trials are presented to the hearts, so whichever heart rejects it, a white dot is placed in his heart. And if a heart does not reject it, a black dot is placed in his heart. Then, another trial is presented to the hearts, so if the heart that rejected it in the first instance rejects it again, a white dot is placed in his heart. And if it does not reject it, a black dot is placed in his heart. Then, another trial is presented to the hearts, so if the heart that rejected it in the previous instances rejects it again, it becomes stronger, purer, and whiter, and no trial will harm it thereafter. But if it does not reject it in the previous instances, it becomes more black, corrupted, and inverted. Then, he will neither recognize the truth nor reject falsehood."

[Machine] We have the Messenger of Allah ﷺ warning you about seven tribulations that will occur after me. There will be a tribulation that will arise from Medina, a tribulation that will arise from Mecca, a tribulation that will arise from Yemen, a tribulation that will arise from Sham (Syria), a tribulation that will arise from the East, a tribulation that will arise from the West, and a tribulation that will arise from the heart of Sham, and that is the tribulation of Sufyani. Ibn Mas'ood said, "Among you there are those who will witness its beginning and from this Ummah (nation) there are those who will witness its end." Al-Walid ibn 'Ayyash said, "So the tribulation of Medina occurred with Talhah and Az-Zubayr, and the tribulation of Mecca occurred with the tribulation of Abdullah ibn Az-Zubayr, and the tribulation of Sham occurred with the Banu Umayyah, and the tribulation of the East occurred with these (people)."

[Machine] The first thing you lose from your religion is humility, and the last thing you lose from your religion is prayer. The threads of Islam will be unraveled one by one, and eventually women will lead prayer while menstruating. You will follow the path of those before you, step by step, not deviating from their path. And their path will not lead you astray, until there remain two sects from many different sects. And one of them will say, "What is the matter with the five daily prayers? Those who came before us have gone astray. Allah, the Blessed and Exalted, commanded to establish the prayer halfway through the day and at both ends of the night." [Surah Hud 114]. Do not pray except three times. And the other sect will say, "The belief of the believers in Allah is like the belief of the angels. There is no disbelief or hypocrisy among us. This is the right of Allah to gather them with the Antichrist."

[Machine] Abu Al-Mujjah narrated that Abdan narrated that Abdullah narrated that Awf narrated from Abu Al-Minhaal, who narrated from Abu Barzah Al-Aslami, who said: "Indeed, that which is in Sham (referring to Marwan) by Allah, he fights only for the sake of worldly gains. And that which is in Makkah (referring to Ibn Zubayr), he fights only for the sake of worldly gains. And those whom you call your reciters, by Allah, they fight only for the sake of worldly gains." So my father said to him, "Then what do you command us to do?" He replied, "I see no good in people except as a masked group." He also said, holding his cloak, "Their bellies are filled with the people's wealth, and their hearts are devoid of sincerity." This narration is found in the condition of Sahih Bukhari and Muslim.

By Allah, I have the best knowledge amongst people about every turmoil which is going to appear in the period intervening me and the Last Hour; and it is not for the fact that Messenger of Allah ﷺ told me something confidentially pertaining to it and he did not tell anybody else about it, but it is because of the fact that I was present in the assembly in which he had been describing the turmoil. and he especially made a mention of three turmoils which would not spare anything and amongst these there would be turmoils like storms in the hot season. Some of them would be violent and some of them would be comparatively mild. Hudhaifa said: All (who were present) except I have gone (to the next world). (Using translation from Muslim 2891a)

You have heard about a city, one side of which is on land and the other is in the sea (Constantinople). They said: Messenger of Allah, yes. Thereupon he said: The Last Hour would not come unless seventy thousand persons from Bani lshaq would attack it. When they would land there, they will neither fight with weapons nor would shower arrows but would only say: "There is no god but Allah and Allah is the Greatest," and one side of it would fall. Thaur (one of the narrators) said: I think that he said: The part by the side of the ocean. Then they would say for the second time: "There is no god but Allah and Allah is the Greatest" and the second side would also fall, and they would say: "There is no god but Allah and Allah is the Greatest," and the gates would be opened for them and they would enter therein and, they would be collecting spoils of war and distributing them amongst themselves when a noise would be heard saying: Verily, Dajjal has come. And thus they would leave everything there and go back. (Using translation from Muslim 2920a)

Once there blew a red storm in Kufah that there came a person who had nothing to say but (these words): ʿAbdullah b. Masʿud, the Last Hour has come. He (ʿAbdullah b. Masʿud) was sitting reclining against something, and he said: The Last Hour would not come until shares of inheritance are not distributed and there is no rejoicing over spoils of war. Then he said pointing towards Syria, with the gesture of his hand like this: The enemy shall muster strength against Muslims and the Muslims will muster strength against them (Syrians). I said: You mean Rome? And he said: Yes, and there would be a terrible fight and the Muslims would prepare a detachment (for fighting unto death) which would not return but victorious. They will fight until night will intervene them; both the sides will return without being victorious and both will be wiped out. The Muslims will again prepare a detachment for fighting unto death so that they may not return but victorious. When it would be the fourth day, a new detachment out of the remnant of the Muslims would be prepared and Allah will decree that the enemy should be routed. And they would fight such a fight the like of which would not be seen, so much so that even if a bird were to pass their flanks, it would fall down dead before reaching the end of them. (There would be such a large scale massacre) that when counting would be done, (only) one out of a hundred men related to one another would be found alive. So what can be the joy at the spoils of such war and what inheritance would be divided! They would be in this very state that they would hear of a calamity more horrible than this. And a cry would reach them: The Dajjal has taken your place among your offspring. They will, therefore, throw away what would be in their hands and go forward sending ten horsemen, as a scouting party. Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: I know their names and the names of their forefathers and the color of their horses. They will be the best horsemen on the surface of the earth on that day or amongst the best horsemen on the surface of the earth on that day. (Using translation from Muslim 2899a)

[Machine] I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, say: "There will be three Egypt. One in the meeting point of the two seas, one in the Arabian Peninsula, and one in the Levant. People will be alarmed three times, and then the Dajjal will emerge with an army. He will be defeated by the people from the east, and the first Egypt to repel him will be the Egypt in the meeting point of the two seas. Its people will be divided into three groups: one group will establish and proclaim their loyalty to him, another group will join the Bedouins, and another group will follow the Egypt in the Arabian Peninsula. Then, the Egypt in the Arabian Peninsula will come, and its people will also be divided into three groups. The same process will repeat with the Egypt in the Levant. Finally, the Muslims will gather at the mountain pass of Afiq and will send an army. Their army will suffer losses, and they will face severe famine and hardship. They will be in such a dire condition that one of them will burn his bowstring and eat it. While they are in this state, a caller from the sky will call out to them, saying, 'O people, relief has come to you!' Some of them will say to others, 'Indeed, this is the voice of a satiated man.' Then, Prophet Isa (Jesus), peace be upon him, will descend at the time of Fajr prayer and lead the people in prayer. The imam of the people will step forward and say, 'O Spirit of Allah, proceed and lead us in prayer.' Isa will reply, 'You are the leaders of this Ummah, so you should lead us in prayer.' He will then lead them in prayer. When he finishes, Isa will take up arms and go towards the Dajjal. When the Dajjal sees him, he will dissolve like salt dissolves in water, and his weapon will fall beside him. Isa will then kill the Dajjal, and his companions will be defeated. On that day, no one will be spared except for the believers, even the stones will speak and say, 'O believer, there is a disbeliever behind me, so kill him.'"

The Last Hour would not come until the Romans would land at al-A'maq or in Dabiq. An army consisting of the best (soldiers) of the people of the earth at that time will come from Medina (to counteract them). When they will arrange themselves in ranks, the Romans would say: Do not stand between us and those (Muslims) who took prisoners from amongst us. Let us fight with them; and the Muslims would say: Nay, by Allah, we would never get aside from you and from our brethren that you may fight them. They will then fight and a third (part) of the army would run away, whom Allah will never forgive. A third (part of the army) which would be constituted of excellent martyrs in Allah's eye, would be killed and the third who would never be put to trial would win and they would be conquerors of Constantinople. And as they would be busy in distributing the spoils of war (amongst themselves) after hanging their swords by the olive trees, the Satan would cry: The Dajjal has taken your place among your family. They would then come out, but it would be of no avail. And when they would come to Syria, he would come out while they would be still preparing themselves for battle drawing up the ranks. Certainly, the time of prayer shall come and then Jesus (peace be upon him) son of Mary would descend and would lead them. When the enemy of Allah would see him, it would (disappear) just as the salt dissolves itself in water and if he (Jesus) were not to confront them at all, even then it would dissolve completely, but Allah would kill them by his hand and he would show them their blood on his lance (the lance of Jesus Christ). [Machine] On the authority of the Prophet ﷺ , he said, "The beast will have three appearances in time. The first appearance will be in the farthest point of Yemen, and its mention will spread in the wilderness and not reach the city, meaning Mecca. Then it will stay for a long time, and then it will appear again near Mecca, and its mention will spread among the people of the wilderness and in Mecca. Then it will hide for a long time. While the people are in the most sacred and beloved mosques to Allah, the Most High, the Kaaba, it will suddenly appear in their midst, leaning and growing between the Black Corner and the gate of the Banu Makhzoum from the right side of the outside, in the middle of that. People will be repelled from it in various ways, and a group of Muslims who know that they cannot defeat Allah will stand by it. It will come out and shake off the dust from its head, and it will appear to them as if it were glittering stars. Then it will go on the earth and cannot be reached by a seeker or escaped from by a runner. Until a man seeks refuge from it with prayer, and it comes to him from behind and says, "O so-and-so, are you now praying?" He will turn to it and it will mark him on his face, and then it will go away and accompany people in their homes, and they will travel with it. They will share in wealth. The believer will recognize the disbeliever, to the point that the disbeliever will say, "O believer, judge me in my right," and the believer will say, "O disbeliever, judge me in my right."

[Machine] We were sitting with Hudhaifah when mention was made of the beast. Hudhaifah said, "It will emerge from three valleys in some deserts, then rest, then emerge in some villages until the princes shed blood in it. Then it will rest." He said, "While people are at the greatest and most noble of mosques, even the Sacred Mosque, and what it is called, the earth will rise and people will flee, leaving only a few Muslims who will say, 'Nothing can save us from the decree of Allah.' Then it will emerge and their faces will shine like bright stars, and the people will follow their neighbors in groups, having partners in wealth and companions in Islam."
