bukhari:2376Sulaymān b. Ḥarb > Ḥammād > Yaḥyá b. Saʿīd > Anas

The Prophet ﷺ decided to grant a portion of (the uncultivated land of) Bahrain to the Ansar. The Ansar said, "(We will not accept it) till you give a similar portion to our emigrant brothers (from Quraish)." He said, "(O Ansar!) You will soon see people giving preference to others, so remain patient till you meet me (on the Day of Resurrection).  

البخاري:٢٣٧٦حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَنَسًا ؓ قَالَ

أَرَادَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ أَنْ يُقْطِعَ مِنَ الْبَحْرَيْنِ فَقَالَتِ الأَنْصَارُ حَتَّى تُقْطِعَ لإِخْوَانِنَا مِنَ الْمُهَاجِرِينَ مِثْلَ الَّذِي تُقْطِعُ لَنَا قَالَ سَتَرَوْنَ بَعْدِي أَثَرَةً فَاصْبِرُوا حَتَّى تَلْقَوْنِي

That he heard Anas bin Malik when he went with him to Al-Walid, saying, "Once the Prophet ﷺ called the Ansar in order to give them the territory of Bahrain they said, 'No, unless you give to our emigrant brethren a similar share.' On that he said 'If you do not agree to it, then be patient till you meet me, for after me others will be given preference to you."'

دَعَا النَّبِيُّ ﷺ الأَنْصَارَ إِلَى أَنْ يُقْطِعَ لَهُمُ الْبَحْرَيْنِ فَقَالُوا لاَ إِلاَّ أَنْ تُقْطِعَ لإِخْوَانِنَا مِنَ الْمُهَاجِرِينَ مِثْلَهَا قَالَ إِمَّا لاَ فَاصْبِرُوا حَتَّى تَلْقَوْنِي فَإِنَّهُ سَيُصِيبُكُمْ بَعْدِي أُثْرَةٌ

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ wanted to write a book for the people from the Ansar to the people of Bahrain. They said that he should also write a similar book for our brothers from the Muhajirin (migrants). So he called them and they refused. He said, "Verily, you will see after me calamities, so be patient until you meet me."  

أحمد:١٢٨٨٥حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ يُحَدِّثُ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ أَرَادَ أَنْ يَكْتُبَ كِتَابًا لِنَاسٍ مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ إِلَى الْبَحْرَيْنِ فَقَالُوا لَا إِلَّا أَنْ تَكْتُبَ لِإِخْوَانِنَا مِنَ الْمُهَاجِرِينَ مِثْلَهَا فَدَعَاهُمْ فَأَبَوْا قَالَ أَمَا إِنَّكُمْ سَتَرَوْنَ بَعْدِي أَثَرَةً فَاصْبِرُوا حَتَّى تَلْقَوْنِي

[Machine] He heard from Anas that the Prophet ﷺ called the Ansar to split the two seas for them, but they said no until the same is done for our brothers from the Muhajireen like us. So he said, "Indeed, you will meet me afterwards, so be patient until you meet me."  

أحمد:١٢٠٨٥حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ يَحْيَى قِيلَ لِسُفْيَانَ يَعْنِي

سَمِعَ مِنْ أَنَسٍ يَقُولُ دَعَا النَّبِيُّ ﷺ الْأَنْصَارَ لِيُقْطِعَ لَهُمُ الْبَحْرَيْنِ فَقَالُوا لَا حَتَّى تُقْطِعَ لِإِخْوَانِنَا مِنَ الْمُهَاجِرِينَ مِثْلَنَا فَقَالَ إِنَّكُمْ سَتَلْقَوْنَ بَعْدِي أَثَرَةً فَاصْبِرُوا حَتَّى تَلْقَوْنِي  

ذِكْرُ الْبَيَانِ بِأَنَّ قَوْلَ أَنَسٍ: أَرَادَ أَنْ يَكْتُبَ أَنْ يَقْطَعَ الْبَحْرَيْنِ لِلْأَنْصَارِ

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ once visited the Anṣār tribe of Bahrain or a group among them. They said, "Do not cut off our brothers among the Muhājirīn (those who migrated from Mecca to Medina) like you cut off us." He said, "Indeed, you will meet me after my departure, so be patient until you meet me."  

ابن حبّان:٧٢٧٦أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدِ بْنِ حِسَابٍ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَقْطَعَ الْأَنْصَارَ الْبَحْرَيْنِ أَوْ قَالَ طَائِفَةً مِنْهَا فَقَالُوا لَا حَتَّى تُقْطِعَ إِخْوَانَنَا مِنَ الْمُهَاجِرِينَ مِثْلَ الَّذِي أَقْطَعْتَنَا قَالَ «أَمَا إِنَّكُمْ سَتَلْقَوْنَ بَعْدِي أَثَرَةً فَاصْبِرُوا حَتَّى تَلْقَوْنِي»
