Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'Allah will not look at the person who drags his garment (behind him) out of conceit.''

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ لاَ يَنْظُرُ اللَّهُ إِلَى مَنْ جَرَّ ثَوْبَهُ خُيَلاَءَ

The Prophet ﷺ said Allah will not look, on the Day of Resurrection at the person who drags his garment (behind him) out of conceit. On that Abu Bakr said, "O Messenger of Allah ﷺ! One side of my Izar hangs low if I do not take care of it." The Prophet ﷺ said, 'You are not one of those who do that out of conceit."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ مَنْ جَرَّ ثَوْبَهُ خُيَلاَءَ لَمْ يَنْظُرِ اللَّهُ إِلَيْهِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ قَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّ أَحَدَ شِقَّىْ إِزَارِي يَسْتَرْخِي إِلاَّ أَنْ أَتَعَاهَدَ ذَلِكَ مِنْهُ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ لَسْتَ مِمَّنْ يَصْنَعُهُ خُيَلاَءَ

Messenger of Allah ﷺ, "Allah will not look, on the Day of Resurrection, at a person who drags his Izar (behind him) out of pride and arrogance.

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ لاَ يَنْظُرُ اللَّهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ إِلَى مَنْ جَرَّ إِزَارَهُ بَطَرًا

Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever drags his clothes (on the ground) out of pride and arrogance, Allah will not look at him on the Day of Resurrection."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ مَنْ جَرَّ ثَوْبَهُ مَخِيلَةً لَمْ يَنْظُرِ اللَّهُ إِلَيْهِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ فَقُلْتُ لِمُحَارِبٍ أَذَكَرَ إِزَارَهُ قَالَ مَا خَصَّ إِزَارًا وَلاَ قَمِيصًا

It is narrated on the authority of 'Uthman that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said. He who died knowing (fully well) that there is no god but Allah entered Paradise.

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ مَنْ مَاتَ وَهُوَ يَعْلَمُ أَنَّهُ لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ دَخَلَ الْجَنَّةَ

Allah will not look upon him who trails his garment out of pride.

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ لاَ يَنْظُرُ اللَّهُ إِلَى مَنْ جَرَّ ثَوْبَهُ خُيَلاَءَ

He who trails his (lower) garment out of pride, Allah will not look toward him on the Day of Resurrection.

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ إِنَّ الَّذِي يَجُرُّ ثِيَابَهُ مِنَ الْخُيَلاَءِ لاَ يَنْظُرُ اللَّهُ إِلَيْهِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ

He who trailed his garment out of pride, Allah would not look toward him on the Day of Resurrection.

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ مَنْ جَرَّ ثَوْبَهُ مِنَ الْخُيَلاَءِ لَمْ يَنْظُرِ اللَّهُ إِلَيْهِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ

From whom do you come? He described his relationship (with the tribe he belonged) and it was found that he belonged to the tribe of Laith. Ibn. Umar recognised him and said: I heard Messenger of Allah ﷺ with these two ears of mine saying: He who trailed his lower garment with no other intention but pride, Allah would not look toward him on the Day of Resurrection.

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ بِأُذُنَىَّ هَاتَيْنِ يَقُولُ مَنْ جَرَّ إِزَارَهُ لاَ يُرِيدُ بِذَلِكَ إِلاَّ الْمَخِيلَةَ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ لاَ يَنْظُرُ إِلَيْهِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ

I ordered Muslim b. Yasar, the freed slave of Nafi' b. 'Abd al-Harith, while I was sitting between them, that he should ask Ibn 'Umar if he had heard anything from Messenger of Allah ﷺ pertaining to one who trails his lower garment out of pride. He said: I heard him (the Holy Prophet) as saying: Allah will not look toward him on the Day of Resurrection.

أَسَمِعْتَ مِنَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فِي الَّذِي يَجُرُّ إِزَارَهُ مِنَ الْخُيَلاَءِ شَيْئًا قَالَ سَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ لاَ يَنْظُرُ اللَّهُ إِلَيْهِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ as saying: If anyone trails his garment arrogantly, Allah will not look at him on the Day of Resurrection. Then Abu Bakr said: One of the sides of my lower garment trails, but still I remain careful about it. He said: You are not one of those who do so conceitedly.

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ مَنْ جَرَّ ثَوْبَهُ خُيَلاَءَ لَمْ يَنْظُرِ اللَّهُ إِلَيْهِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ فَقَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ إِنَّ أَحَدَ جَانِبَىْ إِزَارِي يَسْتَرْخِي إِنِّي لأَتَعَاهَدُ ذَلِكَ مِنْهُ قَالَ لَسْتَ مِمَّنْ يَفْعَلُهُ خُيَلاَءَ

“Whoever lets his garment drag out of pride, Allah will not look at him on the Day of Resurrection.”

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ إِنَّ الَّذِي يَجُرُّ ثَوْبَهُ مِنَ الْخُيَلاَءِ لاَ يَنْظُرُ اللَّهُ إِلَيْهِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ

[AI] From the Prophet ﷺ , he said, "Whoever approaches his wife from behind, Allah the Almighty will not look at him on the Day of Judgment."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «مَنْ أَتَى امْرَأَتَهُ فِي دُبُرِهَا لَمْ يَنْظُرِ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى إِلَيْهِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ»

“Whoever dies knowing that there is no god but Allah will enter Paradise.”

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ مَنْ مَاتَ وَهُوَ يَعْلَمُ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ دَخَلَ الْجَنَّةَ

“Whoever dies knowing that there is no God but Allah will enter Paradise.”

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مَنْ مَاتَ وَهُوَ يَعْلَمُ أَنَّ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ دَخَلَ الْجَنَّةَ

[AI] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "Allah, the Almighty, does not look at those who drag their garments out of arrogance."

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ لَا يَنْظُرُ اللهُ ﷻ إِلَى مَنْ جَرَّ إِزَارَهُ خُيَلَاءَ

He who trailed his garment out of pride, Allah would not look toward him on the Day of Resurrection. (Using translation from Muslim 2085e)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مَنْ جَرَّ ثَوْبَهُ مِنْ مَخِيلَةٍ لَمْ يَنْظُرِ اللهُ إِلَيْهِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ

[AI] From the Prophet ﷺ , that he said, "Whoever drags a garment from his clothing out of arrogance, Allah, the Most High, will not look at him on the Day of Resurrection."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّهُ قَالَ مَنْ جَرَّ ثَوْبًا مِنْ ثِيَابِهِ مِنْ مَخِيلَةٍ فَإِنَّ اللهَ تَعَالَى لَا يَنْظُرُ إِلَيْهِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ مَنْ جَرَّ ثَوْبًا مِنْ ثِيَابِهِمَخِيلَةً لَمْ يَنْظُرِ اللهُ إِلَيْهِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ

[AI] On the authority of the Prophet ﷺ , he said: "Whoever drags his garment out of arrogance, then indeed, Allah the Almighty will not look at him on the Day of Resurrection."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ مَنْ جَرَّ ثَوْبَهُ مَخِيلَةً فَإِنَّ اللهَ تَعَالَى لَا يَنْظُرُ إِلَيْهِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ

[AI] On the authority of the Prophet ﷺ, he said: "The example of the one who drags his garment out of pride or arrogance is like that of Yaḥyā (John) from the locusts. Allah will not look at him on the Day of Resurrection."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ مَثَلُ الَّذِي يَجُرُّ إِزَارَهُ أَوْ ثَوْبَهُ شَكَّ يَحْيَى مِنَ الْخُيَلَاءِ لَا يَنْظُرُ اللهُ إِلَيْهِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ

He who trailed his garment out of pride, Allah would not look toward him on the Day of Resurrection. (Using translation from Muslim 2085e)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مَنْ جَرَّ ثَوْبَهُ مِنَ الْخُيَلَاءِ لَمْ يَنْظُرِ اللهُ إِلَيْهِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Allah does not look at the one who drags his lower garment out of haughtiness."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لَا يَنْظُرُ اللهُ إِلَى الَّذِي يَجُرُّ إِزَارَهُ خُيَلَاءَ

“Whoever lets his garment drag out of pride, Allah will not look at him on the Day of Resurrection.” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 3569)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِنَّ الَّذِي يَجُرُّ ثَوْبَهُ مِنَ الْخُيَلَاءِ لَا يَنْظُرُ اللهُ إِلَيْهِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ

[AI] From the Prophet ﷺ that he said: "Whoever drags a garment (on the ground) out of arrogance, Allah will not look at him on the Day of Judgment."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّهُ قَالَ مَنْ جَرَّ ثَوْبًا مِنْ ثِيَابِهِ مَخِيلَةً فَإِنَّ اللهَ لَا يَنْظُرُ إِلَيْهِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ

“Whoever lets his garment drag out of pride, Allah will not look at him on the Day of Resurrection.” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 3569)

Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'Allah will not look at the person who drags his garment (behind him) out of conceit.'' (Using translation from Bukhārī 5783)

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ مَنْ جَرَّ ثَوْبَهُ خُيَلَاءَ لَمْ يَنْظُرِ اللهُ إِلَيْهِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ قَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ يَا رَسُولَاللهِ إِنَّ أَحَدَ شِقَّيْ إِزَارِي لَيَسْتَرْخِي إِلَّا أَنْ أَتَعَاهَدَ ذَلِكَ مِنْهُ فَقَالَ إِنَّكَ لَسْتَ مِمَّنْ تَصْنَعُ الْخُيَلَاءَ

The Prophet ﷺ said Allah will not look, on the Day of Resurrection at the person who drags his garment (behind him) out of conceit. On that Abu Bakr said, "O Messenger of Allah ﷺ! [AI] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "Whoever drags his garment out of pride, Allah, the Almighty, will not look at him on the Day of Judgment."

[AI] And the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Indeed, Allah does not look at the one who drags his garment arrogantly on the Day of Resurrection."

وَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِنَّ اللهَ لَا يَنْظُرُ إِلَى الْمُسْبِلِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ

[AI] I heard Abu al-Qasim ﷺ saying, "Allah does not look at the one who drags his garment arrogantly."

سَمِعْتُ أَبَا الْقَاسِمِ ﷺ يَقُولُ لَا يَنْظُرُاللهُ إِلَى الَّذِي يَجُرُّ إِزَارَهُ بَطَرًا

He who trailed his garment out of pride, Allah would not look toward him on the Day of Resurrection. (Using translation from Muslim 2085e)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مَنْ جَرَّ إِزَارَهُ بَطَرًا لَمْ يَنْظُرِ اللهُ إِلَيْهِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ

He who trailed his garment out of pride, Allah would not look toward him on the Day of Resurrection. (Using translation from Muslim 2085e)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مَنْ جَرَّ ثَوْبَهُ مِنَ الْخُيَلَاءِ لَمْ يَنْظُرِ اللهُ إِلَيْهِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ

[AI] From the Prophet of Allah ﷺ , he said: "Whoever drags his garment out of arrogance, Allah will not look at him on the Day of Resurrection." It was narrated by Ibn Umar as well.

عَنْ نَبِيِّ اللهِ ﷺ أَنَّهُ قَالَ مَنْ جَرَّ ثِيَابَهُ مِنَ الْخُيَلَاءِ لَمْ يَنْظُرِ اللهُ إِلَيْهِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ قَالَ وَحَدَّثَنِي بِهَذَا ابْنُ عُمَرَ أَيْضًا

“Whoever dies knowing that there is no God but Allah will enter Paradise.” (Using translation from Aḥmad 498)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لِمُعَاذِ بْنِ جَبَلٍ اعْلَمْ أَنَّهُ مَنْ مَاتَ يَشْهَدُ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ دَخَلَ الْجَنَّةَ

Yahya related to me from Malik from Abdullah ibn Dinar from Abdullah ibn Umar that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "A person who drags his garment in arrogance will not be looked at by Allah on the Day of Rising."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ الَّذِي يَجُرُّ ثَوْبَهُ خُيَلاَءَ لاَ يَنْظُرُ اللَّهُ إِلَيْهِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ

Yahya related to me from Malik from Abu'z-Zinad from al-Araj from Abu Hurayra that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "On the Day of Rising, Allah the Blessed, the Exalted, will not look at a person who drags his lower garment in arrogance."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ لاَ يَنْظُرُ اللَّهُ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ إِلَى مَنْ يَجُرُّ إِزَارَهُ بَطَرًا

Yahya related to me from Malik from Nafi and Abdullah ibn Dinar and Zayd ibn Aslam that all of them informed him from Abdullah ibn Umar that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "On the Day of Rising, Allah will not look at a person who drags his garment in arrogance."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ لاَ يَنْظُرُ اللَّهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ إِلَى مَنْ يَجُرُّ ثَوْبَهُ خُيَلاَءَ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ sent me and said, "Call upon the people, whoever says, 'There is no deity except Allah', will enter Paradise."

بَعَثَنِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ «نَادِ فِي النَّاسِ مَنْ قَالَ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ دَخَلَ الْجَنَّةَ»

[AI] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, "Whoever bears witness that there is no deity worthy of worship except Allah sincerely from their heart will enter paradise."

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «مَنْ شَهِدَ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ مُخْلِصًا مِنْ قَلْبِهِ دَخَلَ الْجَنَّةَ»

“Whoever dies knowing that there is no god but Allah will enter Paradise.” (Using translation from Aḥmad 464)

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «مَنْ مَاتَ وَهُوَ يَعْلَمُ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ دَخَلَ الْجَنَّةَ»

He who trailed his garment out of pride, Allah would not look toward him on the Day of Resurrection. (Using translation from Muslim 2085e)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «مَنْ جَرَّ ثِيَابَهُ مِنْ مَخِيلَةٍ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يَنْظُرُ إِلَيْهِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ»

The Messenger of Allah [SAW] said: "Whoever drags his garment out of pride, Allah will not look at him on the Day of Resurrection." Abu Bakr said: "O Messenger of Allah, one side of my Izar slips unless I pay attention to it." The Prophet [SAW]: "You are not one of those who do that out of pride." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 5335)

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ «مَنْ جَرَّ ثَوْبَهُ مِنَ الْخُيَلَاءِ لَمْ يَنْظُرِ اللَّهُ إِلَيْهِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ» فَقَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّ أَحَدَ شِقَّيْ إِزَارِي يَسْتَرْخِي إِلَّا أَنْ أَتَعَاهَدَ ذَلِكَ مِنْهُ فَقَالَ لَهُ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «إِنَّكَ لَسْتَ مِمَّنْ يَصْنَعُ ذَلِكَ خُيَلَاءَ»

“Whoever lets his garment drag out of pride, Allah will not look at him on the Day of Resurrection.” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 3569)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «إِنَّ الَّذِي يَجُرُّ ثَوْبَهُ مِنَ الْخُيَلَاءِ لَا يَنْظُرُ اللَّهُ إِلَيْهِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ»
